Who Called Us

We don't have a Citi card or account but we have been getting 3-5 calls a day. They start around 8:30 in the morning and end around 9:30 at night. Driving me nuts.

This number has been calling me over and over for the past few days, so finally I decided to pick it up. I said hello a couple of times, and a woman mimicked me! Then hung up. I don't think she's a collector at all. It sounded like a young woman playing tricks or prank calling.

my ex was 5 days late on his bill. They called all of our numbers all day without leaving a message. I guess they want to remind you that you're late and this is what your late fee covers. After talking to them, they took my numbers off his account. You can't call back this number. Just call the number on the back of your card and pay your bill.

The number is an outgoing Dialer number only. It is not listed as "Citi Cards" b/c it is to protect the privacy of the card members. The company is calling to collect on a debt whether it be at a residence or a business so the company does not use the name or nature of the call while calling unless they actually are speaking with the card holder. They may call at work or at home. If you give your business and home number on your application then you are giving your permission to call both places if you become past due on an account. However, if you do not want Citi to call your work place ask the Rep to remove your work number and he/she will do so immediately. All that the company wishes to do is collect on a debt or work something out to better a bad situation. Hanging up on the incoming call only allows for the dialer to redial the number at least 3 or 4 more times the same day and reporting the situation does no good if there is a debt to be resolved. It is not considered harassment if you owe someone money and they are calling to collect on the debt. If the company speaks with the card member and nothing can be done that day a follow up phone call will be done in typically about 5 days.

Obviously,we have ppl from citi card leaving comments on here. i do not have an account with citi card. i've explained this to them and still recieve phone calls once a day on my cell phone.i have since forwarded calls from them to a gay phone hotline in which got from a news paper ad. i hope they enjoy.

Pay Your Bills on time and they won't call you. I don't know when you all began to think that a credit card gave you a sense of entitlement, but don't get mad because your actions do have consequences. Citigroup is not a 3rd party collection agency, therefore the FDCPA doesn't cover them. It's probably in your best interests to answer the calls, or you can see your account fall even more past due and into charge-off, which will ruin your credit. They will be willing to work out a solution as long as you take ten minutes to speak to them and work something out.

they keep calling and they dont say anything and dont give a message starting to get pissed off.

that would be citicards collections, the Florence site mostly handles private label credit cards, which means a citi credit card for a specific store brand, such as Sears, Zales, Radioshack, etc. If you don't have a citi credit card then it may just be that someone has listed your phone number as their contact. Answer, see who they are looking for and the person doesn't live there, just tell them so in a clear, calm manner. Then no more calls. Unless you are behind.

I have been getting harassing phone calls from this number.

They claim they are a "credit card company" that I owe an outstanding balance to.

This darn Company keeps calling us at least 3 times a day and leaves no messages. Florence, Ky 859-283-8072 You call it back and nothing happens. I looked it up at yellowpages.com and this is what it says: We didn't find any businesses for 8592838072. Go figure...

Answered phone, no one there. Attempt call back and "all circuits" busy is the response.

This number, caller ID says Florence, Ky., has been calling 5 or more times a day for a month. Tonight,when I got home at 9:30pm, it was ringing every 15 seconds, one ring, hang up, ring again, hang up, ring again, hang up. Not letting the answering machine answer. I had to unplug the phone. I've already told CitiCard that I can't tell them when I can make a payment, because I don't know when I'll have the money...so, for now, I guess I can't use my phone, either, if I want to sleep! It doesn't do any good to answer--the calls don't stop until they are paid current...

Called back the number same day I received it and it was a recording saying the number has been disconnected

I have 2 calls this morning alone, called citi cards to find out both my accounts are in good standing & they don't know anything about the number or calls! WTF! How do I block them?

This company refuses to identify themselves. Its citicards. Make an FTC Complaint.

The call was made from Citi Cards.I had forgotten to make a payment and they called to remind me and ask me if i wanted to pay right away. i cross checked by calling Citi Cards directly and they confirmed that they had indeed called and that the relevant notes about the call were present in their system.

3 damn calls from this number today alone. didn't answer any. they need to f'off. no id, checked phone book, found they are in kentucky.

I got a call this morning from 859-283-8072. They did not leave a message. The caller ID read Florence, KY. I looked the number up after the call ended. After I found out the number has called others I picked up the phone and dialed *60 to block the call. It tells you that call blocker is off (for that particular number since it wasn't blocked before) but then gives instructions to dial #01# if I wanted to block it. So far this has worked and it's free. We haven't been charged. It beats not having the annoying phone calls!

My attempt to call it back gave me a recorded message saying the call could not be completed, as dialed. ?? Numerous calls throughout the days, but never a message.

This is from Citi Card. They called and didn't leave a message, when I called number back it was fax machine. I went here and found out it was Citi Card and went to website and filed complaint with them because they then called me at work. I wrote that if they would have left a message on my cell phone I would have called back at lunch, but instead they call my work number. I told them to remove work number and never call that again. Also told them to leave message in future if they want business taken care of.

Never left a mesage, but did call with a differnt area code and numbers from a diffrent state!!!

have received multiple calls from this no. no message. return call meets with a fax machine.

appears to be deliberate prank. have filed other complaints online.
