How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the
FTC. - Block them with a call blocker:
Uniden DECT1288 blocks up to 20 numbers, plus Private and Unknown, with the reject tone, without ringing the phone.
Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

Got a call from this freak show about 10 mins ago. My personal take on it is that it's actually a surveillance arm for the government. Nobody hires out of province carpet cleaners. Nice try, maybe I'll have my guys pay these guys a visit.
I got a call at 8:45 am, I didn't pick up and he left no message. Caller ID said Richard Charett so I googled the name and got this site....
Got a call today... May 21, 2010... didn't even pick-up because I figured it was a tele-marketer... didn't leave a message.
I just got a call from this number as well. The name Richard Charette came up on my call display. No message. I tried to call back but the number is not set up for voicemail. Very annoying.
April 2, 2010: Received a call from this number. Thankfully, I'm able to block unwanted telemarketing calls using *44 with Primus. He won't get through again, even if he tries.
I've been receiving calls for the past few months - NEVER leaves a message and never says anything whenever I speak?! Creepy. I looked up his phone # on 'Reverse Calls' and unlike the addy listed below, it came up as 93 rue Gamelin in Gatineau...so...dunno...in any case - I DO plan on reporting him to the police...there are simply FAR too many comments on here to just keep on sitting back and doing NOTHING?!?! Yikes! PS: I can't speak for anyone else, but I used a window/carpet cleaning service in the Spring...perhaps it's THEM that are releasing our contact info to 'others'? (just a thought)

This guy really must be desperate for work because once again his name and # showed up on my call display but thankfully left no message this time. This was mid July (08). He is over in Hull, Quebec and I am in Ottawa, Ontario. Why on earth would I hire someone for carpet cleaning from another province and given his business tactics would anyone else? I don't understand the stupidity.

Obviously he did not get the message!!! I had another call on Dec. 6th (2007) at 5:15pm. And AGAIN tonight (Dec 10th) he called to try to sell me a special on carpet cleaning. I told him no and to take my # off his freaking list! IF this moron calls one more time, i will call the police. We have enough carpet cleaning businesses on this side of the river thanks very much! Some people just don't get it.
This person has been calling every day for the past week. I told him to stop! And there was another call today!
