Who Called Us

Haven't a clue who they are. Could only hear my own voice when I had answered the phone.

Caller ID showed, ISA and it was a political survey asking if I'd already voted, and if I voted for Rossi, or Murray. I have already voted, as we are rural and vote by mail, but are in WA state, and this call was from a southern California area code.

How are they supposed to know when your eating dinner, people are so rude to other human beings just trying to make a living anymore.!

If you do the study they stop calling so give five mins of your time to help someone out and save yourself from another call!

You are all so uneducated the do not call list and complaints dont apply to research studys!

Received a call pretending they wanted information on river cruises to give to their parents for their anniversary but wanted to check things on line. Could tell it wasn't a legitimate call. They would not give me their phone number or e-mail address.

Another Survey call...third in three days from different places. Seems to be the next week of annoying, unsolicated calls. I politely told them to take me off their call list.

If you call the Do not Call Registry at 888-382-1222, you can register your phone for people to not call and you can place a complaint. I am going to put in a complaint every time they call!!

this company will not stop calling my number. when you answer nobody speaks. my ph # is on the do not call list. why are they calling me several times a day?? yet no leaving a message.

The phone rings. I answer. Phone hangs up. These people call every day. Sometimes 2 or 3 times. It is getting so frustrating. How do I get them to stop calling?

Called on a SUNDAY MORNING at 8:14. Didn't answer it, but wanted to KILL for being woken up.

I answered the phone, and a male voice said he was from the insurance something or other, and said he was taking a survey on homeowner's insurance. I told him I wasn't interested and hung up. Next time my caller ID says 8187567494 I will ignore it. If everyone would do the same thing, they would stop calling us.

When I agreed to answer the media research questions (which they were offering a cash incentive), once the woman discovered I was the only one in the household she hung up. I called the number back and they did not use the name Arbitron and the recording said they are a marketing research company.

I recieved a lot of calls from them and also submitted complaints to the DO NOT CALL registry. I called them back but got a recorded message. Then I answered the phone when they called and asked how they got my number. They get their info thru DMA (Direct Marketing Association). I told them that I was on do not call list by DMA and then she made up another story. It's a shady company.

Just so folks know - the Do Not Call law does not prevent Political organizations, charitable organizations, people you've done business with, or folks conducting surveys from calling. If this ISA is a survey organization then being on the DNC list won't prevent the calls.

Female said she was doing research for Lieberman Assocs. I told her not to call again, and to take my name off her list. I hung up. This was the same caller who called us the previous evening when my wife was on the phone talking to a friend. This latter call was late in the evening, and it was not answered.

I got the call at 524 central time, I was not home, no message.I just got a LAND LINE. I am not happy with these odd calls

818-756-7494 is the marketing agent (i think) for Chase credit card protection. To block calls from that number simply enter *60 follow the directions. You will have to enter #01#. Then a recording will come on and tell you that number is blocked from calling you. The service is free. Enjoy

They probably buy your info from 3rd party. Next time you fill out a survey or put info while surfing for a car/home/etc just plug that in and they will get calls.

i just got a call from this number 866 566 5188. i went online to look up the area code and it said toll free, so i just typed in the whole number to see what would pop up. I cant believe all these people getting hassled from this number, i dont even know how they would have gotten my number as i really try not to give it out. This is really weird. THey better not keep calling bc they are messing with the wrong chica!!!!

If this company is truly a research company, the the Do Not Call Registry does not apply to them. The DNC list does not cover, survey/research companies, non-profit organizations, political calls or companies that you do business with or have done business with in the past.

You have to tell these companies to remove you from their call list when they call and if they continue to call then you can report them to the FCC and the DNC registry. Because once you tell a company to remove you and they continue to call then it becomes harrassment and you can take legal action, just remember you must document everything!!!!

They keep calling us. all times of day night and weekend. ISA = PHONE TERRORISTS. Let's waterboard them all!

They seem to call every other day or so at random times. I don't bother picking up. The last time they called was around 6:20pm.

These people continue to call despite us asking them to stop. We have told we are on the national do not call list and every time they say they are not subject to it -- which is a lie - they are a telemarketer and are subject to it. We asked to be put on their do not call list and they have refused. I have even told them I have filed complaints about them and they still keep calling. I am so angry and frustrated with the harrassment now that I end up just yelling at them as soon as I pick up the phone. You can't just not answer the phone as they call over and over until you answer it and the phone ringing all night drives you mad!!!! I have filed complaints with the do not call registry, the FTC and the FCC. I strongly encourage all of you to file complaints with FCC. They do investigate them. Thes people started calling a few days ago. We asked them to stop calling as we are on the national do not call list and they said "oh that is nothing to do with us". We asked them to add us to their do not call list but they keep calling. They wont even stop talking when you ask them to stop calling you - they just keep on with their spiel -- you have to hang up to get rid of them. Have filed complaint at the national do not call register website.

Repeated calls for the last 3 weeks. Ignoring most calls but when I do pick-up, no answer from caller. National Do Not Call Registry is useless but I filed a complaint anyway. I hate people/corporations profiting off someone else's time and intruding in ones solitude. Nothing like this will ever be controlled if people don't become outraged and furious. I know I am. The company and especially it's president should burn in HELL!

I received calls from this number.Per the previous message left by another, I asked for David Stackman...was told he was not in the office. I told the "operator", a Kevin Chen, that I was recording the conversation in order to prove that I had made a formal request to have my number removed from any contact list they may have. I also informed him that any further calls would enable me to collect damages in the amount of $10,000.00 per call. I think that is enough of us do this, they may think twice before calling....

I got a call from them twice. First time, I didn't pick up. Second time, I did. The person on the other side he is calling on behalf of Chase Bank and asked me if I visited Chase, Niles office on a specific date. Before answering anything, I just asked him whether he was calling from Chase Bank; just to reassure. And he answered he was not.
I just put down the call.

I have started receiving calls from this number. They never leave a message and so far they call when I am not at home. I am on the donotcall.gov list and since your info expires every 2 - 3 years, I resign up each year. I have learned that the most effective way to end this is to just tell them to stop calling, hang up and then immediately file a complaint with the donotcall.gov and ftc.gov and your state attorney general. Once you do that the calls end really quick. Some are exempt from the donotcall.gov list and rather than playing their game of tryiing to figure out why then I am getting the call, I just file the complaint with all agencies and let them do the investigation. There can't be anything more intimidating than receiving investigative calls from their state attorney general, your state attorney general, the FTC and Do Not Call Investigators. So folks start filing your complaints if you want places like this to stop calling and very possibly be put out of business. It is well worth the few minutes it takes to send those complaints to end the hassel of these calls.

Give them the phone number they're calling and tell them to forward to the IT department for inclusion on their internal do not call list. They aren't subject to the federal 'do not call' registry rules, but federal and state laws require companies to maintain their own lists and respect your request for removal.

I get calls several times a week, all hours of the day. It does not matter if you are on the do not call list. Survery companies, non-profit orgs, and political calls CAN be made to you. Only sales calls are blocked with the list.

Dees' comments about research being excluded from the do not call list may be correct, but the only person making money in 99.9% of the cases is the caller.
Best response is to ask to be added to thier "Do Not Call List" if the calls persist, try this:
answer & say please hole one minute & lay the phone down until you hear the phone companys tone that you phone has been left off the hook, then put it back on.

Marketing reseach companies are not subject to the Do Not Call list. They do not sell anything. In fact there are times when that phone call can lead to getting you paid for your opinion. I work in the Marketing research industry. There have been times when we had incentives for hundreds of dollars just for someone's opinion. This is not always the case, but you never know. Just remember Marketing Research and Telemarketing are 2 different things. One can get you money, the other will cost you money.

These folks call five times A DAY! I pretend that I only speak Latin (this is fun, try it!), and they hang up... but come right back again a few hours later.

Well, I received another call from them tonight, and the woman answered my "hello" in Spanish. And it was 9:08 PM, MST. I sent this information to the FCC, donotcall@fcc.gov. I also sent an email to Francine Cafarchia at ISA 02/15/07. I requested my number be removed from their database, and she said it would take anywhere between 24-72 hours. Received a call from 818-756-7494 at 8:59 MST. That's cutting it close. So i sent them an email telling them we are in the Do Not Call registry. We'll see.

But I've gotten at least 10-15 calls from this number in the past two months. I never pick up. Still annoying. FYI they are exempt from the Do Not Call registry because they are not selling anything.

I have received three phone calls from this number and am on the DoNotCall registry.

We've been called by these people everyday in the past week. We're on the National Do Not Call List.

I'm in North Carolina, & this number has been calling for over a week, once at 9:18 PM on 12/06/06...and now on a Saturday, December 9th at 3:23 PM! It just shows up as the number, on my caller ID: 818-756-7494


Everyone who signed up for the National Do Not Call Registry should report this number, & file a complaint! It's easy to do...

Apparently they have been calling my neighbor non-stop asking for MY contact information. Luckily she didn't give them my info, but they keep harassing her.

I guess it's not the Instrumentation Society of America...I'm in Chicago (crap it's cold) and they've called me 2-3 times a day for weeks.

Many, many calls from this number. This time I picked up but said nothing. Eventually a man said hello. I asked who was calling and he says, Santa Clara County Health Department doing a survey. Told him I was not interested and please don't call me again. He says they have to call at least 15 times or get the survey completed. I told him again, to not call me any more. I'm on the "Do Not Call" register! And then hung up on him.

They are calling once or twice per day (chicago), but I do not answer any calls until I screen them. My caller ID has identified this source and phone number. Since they get an answering machine every time it will cost them money to call until they stop. And I do have lots of lawyer friends so if I feel like it I'll turn them loose on 'em.

Just go another. I picked up but said noting. After about 30 secs they hung up also.

There's gotta be something that an individual can do. We used to have the ability to sue in small claims court but Bush's folks decided that wasn't fair!

This company calls often. Once, my husband told them we're on the "do not call" list, and the person said, "That's not my problem, sir." I won't ever pick up the phone when they call.

Does adding a comment to this list do anything at all? I thought there was a law against these unwanted calls. My number is ON the Do Not Call list.

They've called a number of times. CallerID shows ISA. Don't know anyone/any Company called ISA so didn't answer.

got a call at 8:45 EST/6:45 MST.

818-756-7494 called 9:21pm EST and the caller id indicated "California". i picked up since i have family in California..but the passed several nights i have been getting "out of area" on the caller ID and it is around the same time of night.
The California one asked for my Husband. I said he was not home and asked what they wanted. She said she was calling Capitol One account holders. I told her he did not have Capital One and she said, "oh, ok bye".
