Ditto below - I have a city account, formerly ATT Universal, I put it on auto payments to pay it off, I called them and they do not see why I am being called.

Automated message said it was Citibank. I have a Citibank card, but when I called them up at their customer service number, they said they don't know what the call was about, and there are no issues with my account & no reason they would have called. Weird.

Is there a way we can report this number? I do not have a citi card I did have one but I am paying it off and the money comes out automaticly so I don't see why they would be calling me about that. I just never answer. If it is a scam to get money why don't these people be good Americans and go out like we do and get a real job grrrr

Same s#*!, different day... All this year, I keep getting calls from 859-283-3673, and now, this number. I've never had a credit card in my life!! I also never got calls like this until I put my cell phone number on the do not call list. Fat lot of good that did me. I want this to STOP. I've never answered, but I often get 'empty' messages on my voicemail. Go to hell!! Quit calling me.

Received a call at 11:46am. I picked up. A recorded message told me to hold on for a rep but before I could even respond, the call was transfered - and no one was there. I repeatedly said hello, then the line went dead. I called the number back to find it is Citicorp services. I suspect my separated husband has not paid his credit card bill or changed the number on this account to his phone number.

junk calls like this come about two times a year... these scammers or whoever call like 3-5 times a day randomly from weird numbers. i have no late payments, and i have perfect credit. this can't be legit. this crap happens all the time... i just let it go to voicemail everytime and after a week or two they stop. sometimes people on the other end are pissed when they answer (erally, it's my voicemail they are talking to)

They call me all the time looking for "Nathan" or "Nathaniel" which I don't understand because no one by that name lives at my home. I tell them that but they call anyway

I decided to call the number back from my skype ph. they answered citicards .
i didnt call from my cell ph. they been calling at least 5 times a day.
they ed say wait twice then hang up. no one ever came on ph.
and when they call they dont leave a message.i dont answer anymore hope im not getting charged on min. when i dont answer

I recieve numerous calls per day form them, but they never leave a message. I will never ever do anything with them again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THEY CALL FROM ALL SORTS OF NUMBERS 816-420-1168 859-283-3673 505-797-6327 904-954-1095... SOMETIMES ONE AFTER THE OTHER. (I THINK THEY ARE THE SAME OUTFITS) I DON'T EVEN KNOW IF THEY REALLY ARE FROM CITIBANK/CITICORP/CITGROUP. WHO HASN'T USED CITIBANK AT LEAST ONCE ANYWAYS? I HAVE ZERO BALANCE WITH THEM SO IF THEY ARE REALLY CALLING FOR SOMETHING IMPORTANT, THEY WILL LEAVE A MESSAGE LIKE EVERYONE ELSE. WHAT A WASTE OF TIME AND BURNING UP MY BATTERY ON MY CELL PHONE. At work keep getting repeated phone calls from this number but when I answer thre is NO ONE on the other end! 3 times a day for the past week or so! VERY ANNOYING!

Automated phone call - wanted me to hold on the line for next available agent from CitiCard. I DO NOT have a Citi Card, nor do I want one.

Multiple calls per day, as others have stated. NEVER leave VM, always a long pause on the answering machine, then cut off. Starts at 8am and goes all day.

The guy ask for you by your first name like he's a friend, his name was Frantz tries to get other numbers and does the person have a spouse he can talk to but he refuses to say more than it is a private matter.

Calls several times a day. No one will pick up when you are told to hold. Same as others attempt to collect from a credit card.

One hang up, one answer asking for accounts payable. Sounds like Citibank or Citicorp (business related accounts)

816.420.1168 and 816.420.1169 seem to be collectors, I agree, probably citicorp.

This call bothers me everyday at least 3 times. Also number 816-420-1169. Hang up and no answer.

They have been calling 4-5 times a day for the last 4 days. When I answer, I get a stupid recorded message that they don't have anyone available to help me.

Receive at least a call every hour starting at 7 AM and goes until 9 0r 10 at night.

Calls several times a day, I had a CitiCard several years ago and it is paid off and has been cancelled.

they say they are from Citicorp credit and play a recording...they also know my wife's name when they call. calling 5+ times a day...

call and order selective call rejection. It's like $5 a month and you can block their numbers from calling. I have it and just blocked their number. Same story as everyone else on here. Citi is a bunch of freaks!

Calls from this number start promptly at 8:02am ET(by my auto-set clock). Continue all day, sometimes 2-3 calls back to back.
I always let the answering machine pick it up and it hangs up after 3-4 seconds of my outgoing message.
Called it back once and received a recording stating "Welcome to Citicards. Please hold, your call will be answered in the order it was received."

Citicorp Credit Collections. I called them back and had them remove my #. The person they were looking for has also given my phone number out to their auto financer. Apparently, that person doesn't pay their bills.

This is the number for citi cards fraud investigation and/or creditor collections department

I have a Visa from another bank, the bank I work for, and it is a debit card, so I don't have a balance due. If you happen to have business with Citigroup, it is a coincidence.

p.s. it is Citicard or Citicorp or something like that. I have a Citi account so that's why they know my name I suppose.

Called several times today. First time got recorded message to 'wait on the line for a representative.' My line is not free for me so I replied that I am not paying to wait for you and hung up. Second time, a live person asked for me by name and I said I wasn't home. Live person promised to call back later. Third time they called I did not answer.

I get live people on the other end when I relent and pick-up the phone. I've been nasty to a few of them.

Been getting calls for 6 or 7 months now. I don't miss payments to CitiCard, what they do, is charge me $39.00 when my payment arrives the day its' due.

I don't pay them twice then, as they want me to.
I always tell them to PUT IN WRITING anything they want to say. They don't.

I checked a reverse phone # on-line, found (816)420-1168 was in Kansas MO. So I contacted attorney general there, got an e-mail that confirmed: "The company that is calling you is Citi Bank. Their address is as follows:

they call constantly at all hours, early morning and evening. Recording puts ME on hold then hangs up.

i called back and it's citicards or something. Then, they ask for your account number. All it is, is them checking up on you about somehting going on in your account.... whether you have a credit card or a gas card or whatever... They did hang up a couple of times before I got them on the phone.

Apparently you dont need to be in collection to get this call... I have never been late with Citi, last payment was on time 3/16. Today is 3/21. I have received 2 calls, and unless they call the day something is due, I doubt this is a collection line. All else does point to this being Citi.

Received call today from this number and earlier from 859-283-3673. Both CitiBank numbers. I guess they bounce from one call cener to another (sic)...

First call received to my "unlisted" phone number today @ 8:56 a.m. - did not leave a message. I have no affiliation with them personally but my brother had a Citi credit card. He passed away in 2003 leaving a heafty balance. Good luck!

Multiple robo calls with no one ever there. Don't have a Citicorp card. Now, NEVER will use any "Citi" company. I am sick and tired of calls from these parasites!!

I get many messages a day from them. They leave a different number to call back. When I do, they ask for my account number. I tell them I'm not giving that info, how do I know they are really Citibank? Then they hang up. Strange.

I have been getting several calls from these people, which I don't answer. I do not have any accounts with CitiCorp and I have no late bills at all. What's the deal.

Starts calling 9:00 am every hour on the hour until 9:00pm. Never says anything. I have an account with Citicorp but make payments on time every month. I am not past due.

Has been calling for over 1 year looking for someone named jacob who has not had this phone number for at least 2 years. I have repeatedly told their callers in India that I am not Jacob, but it only stops the calls for about 1 month or so.

this is citi cards, i am very late on my payment. however any time i answer it either disconnects or after a while asks me to hold for an important message. i held for 4-5 minuts once just to see. some one picked up said hello then disconnected before i had even finished responding. like they were expecting no-one to be there. there are 5-10 calls a day from this number. i just quit answering them as no one is ever there or they want me to hold for an important message....why dont they leave a message.

Suspect its a debt collection agency hired by Citibank. (I'm really, REALLY late on my card payments!)

This must be the collections arm of citicorp. I called them, told them I continue to get calls repeatedly from them. They looked up my name asked me if I knew such and such a person (someone whom had given this phone # on their account) and then politely confirmed that they would remove the # from their records. I'd encourage all to do the same, or pay your CC bills so you don't get calls.

this is indeed citibank. they called several times this week and the call is met with a delayed recording telling me to hold on. eventually i talked to someone and they were calling because my credit card payment was overdue.

rec'd call at 8:30 a.m. from 816-420-1169, answered and they hung up. At 10:15 a.m. (both on 11/11/06) rec'd call from 816-420-1168, and got the same hang up. Caller ID showed the number both times.
