Would not tell who he was but "Verifax" and wanted to know my address, and gave me no information of whom wanted him to call as far as entity Bank, Gov't, Creditors.

Wow, none of you are verifying anything I hope!

Tell them you'll be happy to give them your last four - except only in morse code and the only way you can show them the code is by repeatedly punching that code into their face with your fists. See if you get any takers...

DO NOT GIVE ANY THE VERIFICATION OF YOUR LAST FOUR (4) DIGITS, EVER!!!!!!!!!!!

I believe this is actually a company called VeriFacts, which is a skip-tracing company. They try to find people for collection agencies and other billing purposes. That's probably why they're asking for your last four and employment status.

They called looking for someone here, told them that he wasn't here so they asked for a phone number to reach him at, told the caller that the person didn't have a phone. Gave the caller the option to leave a message but they refused. They wouldn't state what the reason they were calling was and they refused to give the name of the company they are with. They called twice this morning.

ALWAYS ANSWER THESE TYPES OF CALLS - THEY HAVE TO PAY FOR COMPLETED CALL. KEEP THEM TALKING AS LONG AS POSSIBLE WITH FAKE INFO SO THEY HAVE TO PAY MORE.

Caller wanted to verify my personal information, if I was employed, and the last 4 digits of my social security. When I answered the called they asked for me by name, which I confirmed. Then they asked if this was a good number to reach me. When I asked who was calling, the person said they could not give that information due to privacy issues. After that they continued to ask me to confirm information, including my social sec.#. I refused to confirm any information.

They called this afternoon its the first time for this number. As usual I did not recognize so did not answer.
But lately have been getting calls from hundreds of numbers. The best thing is if you don't recognize do not answer. All these credit cards and banks are desperate so they call anyone to see if they find a live sucker to intimidate and they will pay someone else's debt. Report them to the FTC, State Attorney's office and Consumer Affairs. If they keep calling they have to pay you $500 per call.

The guy on the phone said he needed to verify my address for his client. When I asked him who his client was he said due to privacy laws he couldnt tell me that with out the last 4 of my ssn. When I told him he was full of crap he got loud and rude demanding I tell him. I told him that I didnt give my info out unless I knew what it was for and if he wasnt going to tell me and be rude never to call my house again.

Have received 3 calls from them. Asking to verify name, address and ssn. I refuse to give it to them, but they continue to call. They even called my job. When I asked, they said it was to report to banks and credit card companies. I asked for specifics on which bank she got smart and said that they are a nationwide company and it was ok to give the info. I said there was no way I was providing them with that information so stop calling me.

Received call from a "Bella" looking for the last 4 digits of social security number for an employee. Did not return call to give any information. Will never release ANY social security numbers.

Nice try Verifax! Not happening with this Human Resources department.

Just got the call from 815.516.8767 and said that they were looking for NAME. I asked them to remove my telephone number from NAME's records. Is this a collection agency?

Who is this who is FRANCO BRUNETTE

How do I stop them from calling?

  1. Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
  2. If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the FTC.
  3. Block them with a call blocker:
