this is asset acceptence debt collection...internet investigation reveals they are under investigation for using fraudulant practices to get ppl to pay debts they no longer owe, never owed, or just general harrassment illegally. i dont answer tollfree or unknowns on caller id..also will not call back anyone who doesnt leave message w/ info: who they are, who they represent, who they want and what call is in regard to

My husband and I just got this new phone line and aacc keeps calling us trying to find this person that doesn't have this phone line anymore.

Answered phone, no one answered. Returned call and it rings to Asset Acceptance.

Asset Acceptance. I think they took over Fingerhut Accts and call about past due accts and even accts that were discharged in bankruptcy that they have no claim to.

Automated message asked for "Jorge Moreno".
Auto msgs are not legal in Fl AND my phone # is on the national Do Not Call !

I asked if they were junk debt buyers as soon as I answered. He laughed and said yes. It's a game for them. If 1% of the people they call give in to their harrassment and don't call their bluff, they come out pretty good.

When they call get their mailing address only. Send them a certified letter telling them not to call you - even if you owe the debt - you can tell them to only contact you in writing. By law, they cannot call your cell phone. After they receive your letter, if they continue to call, every call is worth $1,000 in your pocket. You would just file with Fair Debt Collection Practices. 4/26/07, very rude, will not remove number

Continue receiving calls over the last 2 months for someone with the same last name as me. I have no idea who this person is.

Recorded message sent by auto dialer to my fax so does not record but mentioned a Travis Taylor.
Called back later, gave name of company as Asset Acceptance and desired party as Elwood Pace, who has never had this number, so they don't bother to check who a phone number is listed to.
Very curt after being told I was not Elwood Pace.

They call everyday 3-4 times and ask for someone that never lived at my adresse.Don't know what they want

This AACC started calling me yesterday, 2-3 times a day. I don't answer if I don't recognize the ID. Glad to see this site! The person who had this number before me bailed on his satellite tv account, which has caused me enough trouble as I use the same satellite service and they index accounts by phone number. Now this.

Got a call

I have been getting calls for "Stephen Phillips" for over a year now. I tell them I don't know who he is, to take this number off their list and they stop calling for about 3-6 months before the calls start again. Recently they called me almost every day for the past week.

Steven Phillips whoever the hell you are,you're wasting my cell phone minutes every time I'm forced to pick up and tell these assholes to stop calling me.

This was a call to my cell number. It was a recording stating that "by listening I agree to pay" I never let them get past this point (by hanging up). Is there some way to stop them from using up my cell minutes? I'm already on the do not call list.

AACC, what losers...

Shows AACC on caller ID. They've called as early as 8:30AM, which is illegal in this state, and as late as 9:00PM. I never answer unfamiliar phone numbers and IDs so I don't know who they are. I'm grateful for the information that others on have found out and posted. I will continue not to answer.

My caller ID showed AACC Had no idea who they were so picked up & hit ########. Had an experience a while ago with calls from debt collection agency & they just ignored my telling them they had the wrong party. Kept calling.....most annoying. This website is a blessing....forewarned is indeed forearmed.

Can't wait for the "fun" now that I've read who they are. I work nights, so they won't be pleased to hear from me IF I answer the call.

These people continuously call our home. We have tried to tell them that we do not owe anyone anything. How can I get in touch with their supervisor so that they will leave us alone?

They must have just purchased a debt that has my phone number listed. I have been trying for 4.5 years to get my phone number to not be listed as the number for the person that owes the debt. No luck!

They don't leave a message, so I don't know what they want. Isn't ignorance bliss?

called back this number and talked to Andrew Wyatt, he said that they were a speciality finance company.

This company is Asset Acceptance, a debt collector. They were rude and hung up on me when I ask them to remove my number from their call list.

According to the state of Deleware This corporation was formed on September 12, 2002 and is owned by Asset Acceptance in Warren Michigan. Documents filed with the state of Deleware and Florida list the managers as Rufus Reitzel, Jr., Nathional F. Bradley IV, and Mark A Redman. Michigan Records list the mailing address as PO Box 2036, Warren Michigan, 40809 and a physical address as 28405 Van Dyke Avenue, Warren Michigan. Further investigation revealed that 28405 Van Dyke Ave was the law office of Thomas D Hocking who's phone number is listed as (586) 446-7840.

Received a message for someone with the same last name as I have that I do not know! This company obviously uses the phone book search and calls all names that are similar to the person they are looking for. Ridiculous! I have enough problems on my own to have someone calling SOMEONE ELSE on my line!!!!

This a Asset Acceptance, LLC. (debt collector) phone number so don't answer the phone if you don't want to deal with them.
