How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the
FTC. - Block them with a call blocker:
Uniden DECT1288 blocks up to 20 numbers, plus Private and Unknown, with the reject tone, without ringing the phone.
Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

They called when it was busy at my restaurant. I asked her to hold and put her on speaker so my customers can ridicule her. It was a fun time for my customers.
Well they are a research group, On the side i participate in surveys online and get paid to do so. I also have tried items they sent to me and was paid. They on occasion do call me and I do get paid. The only way they would have received your number is if you or someone in your home has signed up doing surveys. They are legit and nothing to worry about. They are hired by other companies to conduct polls and surveys to find out what people are interested in and etc.
They just hung up.
Oh, please, lady above me. Spare me. You should get back to work conducting your telephone "research" and quite typing crap on here.
These folks called me. They do not offer to pay anything. They just want to hassle and harass. And, wondered if I had a cafeteria on site? Are you kidding? In this trailer house? No, there is no cafeteria. And, for that matter, the only self cleaning thing is the cat. So, I am too busy picking up and cleaning to put up with your nonsense calls.
Received a call from this company yesterday evening. The lady explained that they were hired by Duke Energy to conduct research about their company and their website. It was a paid survey for $10. These people are a legitimate research company. I requested the name of their company and their website (stoneresearchservices.com) before agreeing to the survey. Received the survey tonight via e-mail, and it was very simple to complete. You just might be surprised if you answer the phone.
While I am not thrilled that my phone number was shared with this research company, I was pleasantly surprised that they wanted to pay me for my time. Also, if you want to be removed from their calling list, just give them a call at (888) 896-4866 and request to be removed. They honestly have nothing to sell and didn't ask any personal questions. And if you are afraid to give your email address out for SPAM reasons, give them a disposable email address like mailinator or spamgourmet.
I don't like bogus 800-888-866 calls any more than the next person, but this one seems legit to me. They aren't a bill collector, debt collector, salesperson, charity begger, etc. Hope this helps someone!
Called and stated they are a research group
They called and wanted to know if we had a cafeteria on site I told her no and hung up
Called at 2pm on Sunday. Asked to speak to the youngest member of the family that was over 18. I stated that we didn't want to participate and hung up. At 5pm that same day, they called back and asked again.
The person on the phone stated they were doing a survey on mid-size tractors and wanted to know if we owned a tractor of that size.
