How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the
FTC. - Block them with a call blocker:
Uniden DECT1288 blocks up to 20 numbers, plus Private and Unknown, with the reject tone, without ringing the phone.
Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

Discover Card. They call both my cell and my landline 3-4 times per day each, usually seconds apart. They don't call outside the legal hours, but sometimes come close. I bailed on paying my Discover Card when they jacked my rate way up due to falling credit rating, despite always having been current with them. More persistent calls than any other card/collector, so I will be happy to be rid of them when I let my house go and finally file Chapter 7.
This number calls my business number several times a day, and no one is there when the call is answered. After Googling the number and reading here, I saw it associated with Discover card. I do have a personal Discover card, but it is not associated with my business telephone number. I just checked the account online and it was up-to-date--as I knew it was--but I also saw my business number as the contact for the account, which I certainly didn't do. I'm not quite sure the purpose of these calls unless there's some sort of error.

Repetitive no-message calls. Seems to alternate with moron robot calls from AACC collection agency for people whom I never heard of.
I'm a business owner in Orange County, CA. This Comapny called my office on 05-29-09 at 4:50pm. They asked for an individual I did not know. I asked who they were, caller would not give any info. Have received 1 call a day for past 3 weeks. I advised not to call anymore.
discover collections, call repeatedly, goes to voice mail & robot on the other end hangs up. discover account is & has been current. idiots won't take wrong number for answer, or they are calling from India, & no comprehende United States

I get at least two phone calls a day from this number. Noones ever there, no recorded message. I dont even own a discover card.
There was a recording telling me to call 800-768-1134. This call came to my cell phone.
They called on 9-22-08 about a past due account. I get to call them back and inform them I will be filing bankruptcy and their $9000 they are owed will be....GONE!!!!!!!!!!! So sad...
My account was four days past due. (I though I had automatic payment set up, but it turned out it was only my manual online payment.) They offered to set up a automatic payment from my checking account, and waived the $39 penalty.
801-9023152 calls my cell all day long, leaving messages on my voice mail that i cannot understand......i have never used a discover card....
They call atleast 7 times a day for the past 2 weeks. usually they say please hold or is lauren there? but alot of the times no one even answers!!
Got a "please wait" then operator came online and told me I owed some money on my discover card that was left over from last month that I didn't pay. I informed her we pay it off in full each month. The number they called isn't even assicoated with my account. Go figure. Is this some sort of scam?
They call and call and call. Never had a Discover card, ever. Idiots.
Calls several times per day for the past week, including weekend. Calling both my landline and cell phone. If I answer I get "PLEASE WAIT" recording followed by hang-up. Caller ID is DISCOVER CARD. Note: I have never had a Discover Card.
