Who Called Us

sa, we are on the do not call list for home phone and cell phone and getting this call every day @ both numbers....

Received several calls most of them later in the evening up to 10:00pm. Tonight they stated they where JD Powers and asked to talk to the adult of the house. When we stated there are only adults in this household, they hung up.

I am reporting them to the federal and the state do not call departments now.

first call they asked for an adult member on the answer machine!! the second call i answered and they said ther were taking a survey i told them i wasnt interested!! Scam iam sure!!!

Ok after reading all the comments,I still believe its the IRS>But sounds like a 3rd party searching for Info(for the IRS)

They called on a Sunday at 5:30 asking for an "adult member of the household". Clearly they weren't calling for a purpose or else they would have asked for someone specifically. Since I rarely answer my phone I scrolled through the missed call log and see that they call back to back on most weekend evenings. Which to me says its someone trying to get information they don't need

They haven't called since I put in my caller ID and they got my answering machine instead of voice mail. (My phone co. charges extra for calling in to pick up voice mail so I stopped using it)

They call almost every day and when they call (I refuse to answer any call that is identifiable as as person), they let the phone ring for a few times and then call right back. I have now blocked them on my phone so they will get a busy signal from now on.

Call is from third party - calling on behalf of a debt collector who is looking to verify data illegally.

I didn't answer and let machine get it. they didn't leave a msg but let the machine run out, maybe thinking I would pick up eventually? Never let you kids pick up the phone when you aren't home unless a family member calls! I think this may be a scam or hacker perhaps?

Wanted to do a customer survey. As far as I know, this is not a scam. They already had my husband's name, that's who they asked for.

Advice for this number, or any number that you do not know, DO NOT call the unknown number or caller back. More than likely, they have caller ID and would then have your number as well as your name. Then, next time they call, with possibly a different number, they could ask for you by name. It just gives the scam artists more to work with, to their advantage.

This number has called my home, starting from noon to 4:00pm, every two hours. When I answer, there is nothing on the other end. If the answering machine picks up, there is no message left. All that I could find out about the number is that it is from Utah.

Got call today no id

Was called by this number today, asking if we had gone to the bank any time in the previous week. Daughter answered the phone, gave out no information. Have tried to call the number repeatedly and only get a busy signal. Will ignore this call from now on and am going to report it to Chase Bank.

This Guy called as a "UTAH CALL" and identified himself as Don Garcia calling on behalf of Washington Mutual. Well, No one in this household has anything to to with Washington Mutual, and the caller never asked for a SPECIFIC person by name. Therefore, it's probably a scam artist claiming to be someone he is not, from a fake number, in attempts of Phishing and or identity theft! DO NOT engage these callers.

No response when I answered the phone. Our caler ID read Ogden, UT.

Received 2 calls, 1st didn't get to in time, then they called right back but I couldn't understand the name they were asking for, told them they had the wrong number. I called it back since I'm new to MI, not alot of people have my new phone number but family and when I did, got an taped recording saying it was the Kaiser group and if I had a medical emergency or was contemplating suicide to hang up and call 911, then preceded to ask me if I wanted to be directed to one of the 2 different facilities. Weird.

We get a couple calls a day from this number. They hang on long enough to let voice mail pick up and then don't leave a message. We called back, and there was dead silence on the other end both times we called.

advice to you youngers...I never answer a phone.
if it is family or friends, they will leave a message, otherwise
who cares who it is. if you don't have caller ID, get it

They have called twice between the hours of 5p.m. and 7.p.m. and know my name and say they are from My bank. They do not leave a message.

This number has called me every day between 2pm and 5pm for the past month and a half. Sometimes two or three times a day. Now that I recognize it, I let it go to my answering machine and they do not leave a message. I called this number back and a recording makes a reference to their web site: westernwats.com

I sent an e-mail to contact@westernwats.com with a cease and desist demand. We shall see what happens...

"TNS" selling phone service

They wanted the person who makes the decision about the phone system. I asked to be put on their Do Not Call List and they tried to handle my request as a "sales objection" by telling me they weren't trying to sell me anything. I had to hang up.

Less than 3 minutes after their last call to me (see my entry just above), I received a call from virtually the same number (801-823-2923) which turned out to be a polling firm, who wanted to ask me political questions. After a few questions, it became apparent the questions were phrased in a manner to produce a positive feeling toward Republicans and negative feeling toward Democrats; that is, it was a "push" poll. I refused to answer any more questions and demanded the name of the firm behind the poll. They are the Winston Group (found online at WinstonGroup.net).

I let the call go to my answering machine because I didn't recognize the number (or even the area code). No message was left.

Someone from this number called today and was VERY persistant. First they wanted the person who makes the decision about our phone system, then they wanted the person who KNOWS about our phone system, then they wanted the office manager. I told him that there is no-one here like that...for all of those. He was incredulous. I really, really wanted to hang up on him.

Keep getting calls from this number. Tried to call back but the line is busy. Tried to answer but I get hung up on.
