Since most posts are saying this company only calls from a few numbers, if you have Verizon try their Call Intercept feature which lets you block up to 25 numbers from calling you, including numbers that are long distance or toll-free. I use it and it is a good service. Also if anyone has an hp printer it is not widely known but almost all hp printers have a feature called junk fax blocker. You can enter any number into the junk fax list, and when they call the hp machine will disconnect them after 1 ring. Hope this helps.

I got a bill from Vital recovery for no reason. I used to have an insurance policy with AIG but have canceled it many months ago and no longer am dealing with them. Please remove my account #5713900 and discontinue any other correspondence with Ahmed Ajazimi.

My husband and I were married 2 years ago. I am not from the U.S. and have only been living in the U.S. for over a year. My husband has had our number for approx. 8 years. Vital Recovery has been calling for years for a Kimberly (I am not sure of the last name they are saying but it is not even close to mind) and I am Kim, not Kimberly. We have ignored the phone until lately when I started answering it to yell at whomever was calling. I hung up when instructed to as I was not "Kimberly" and yet they still call. I have stayed on the line to get a recording asking me to leave a message but then the mailbox is "full". Someone else mentioned a superviser at extension # 2885 so I pressed that and lo and behold....got to leave a message for a Lynn Martin. I went through the spiel and advised they had the wrong number and to send anything to Kimberly via mail and not to call again or I would be registering complaints and launching a lawsuit. We shall see what happens. I am not liking this at all, approximately a month after moving here and receiving a new cell phone, I was being harassed by some car warranty scam number (which is also listed on this site). I never had this trouble in Canada....yet there are only approx. 35 million people there so that may explain it...fewer people to scam or be scammed.....going through culture shock here ;)

These people call continuously for a person WHO DOES NOT LIVE HERE. I have called back TWICE now to tell the droolinig cretin who answers the phone that they have a WRONG NUMBER, but nothing happens. They just keep calling.

I don't know who these vermin are, but they call incessantly and there's never anyone there. Gotten over 50 calls in the last few weeks. What I did is put that number (800-732-6606), in fact all of the numbers in my phone block call section (my system can block calls) and stop the calls from coming in. It rings once and then stops. Other end gets a BUSY signal. Also filing a complaint with the Georgia Attorney Generals office. Go to there website and file a complaint. Ignore their calls and don't give them any information. There address is 3795 Data Drive suite 200 Norcross, ga. 30092 but company like this probably moves every week to stay ahead of the police and lawyers.

Got a call from 800-797-6093, which is the same "vital recovery" BS as the 6072 number. We have no debt, no outstanding balances, own our house and our cars outright, have an immaculate credit record, and all of a sudden we start getting calls and letters from this loser (apparantly he's just some douche-bag with an office and a phone in a strip mall somewhere down in redneck yahoo flyover land).

Best bet with these scumbags is not to respond. Just hang up, toss the letters, blow them off. They're working off purchased lists and just throwing stuff out there hoping something sticks or that they get some poor elderly person they can harass into paying them money they never owed in the first place.

These guys are bottom feeders and are preying on the fallout from this terrible economic downturn this country is under.

God will straighten them out sooner or later. Sooner, one hopes, but, as the saying goes, if you sit by the banks of the river long enough, you will see the bodies of your enemies floating by. Later is good enough for me.

I recieved a letter from this company saying I owe them money. I don't even knew who these people are and how they fiqure I owe such a great amount of money. I keep watch of my credit report and the amount of money that this company is asking for doesn't even show up on my credit report.

My mom got a "bill" from Vital Recovery Services today (01/08/09) which has a contact number of 1(800)797-6072. She doesn't know why or where this came from but she doesn't have any current debts. I don't think she has received any phone calls, yet but she thinks it may be a scam. She tried to call but she doesn't speak english so no one could help her. Any suggestions on how we can find out if it is or isn't a scam?

I think its really funny. I changed my # years ago and had an outstanding debt from a car loan that i am now ready to pay off. This company for the past two years has only tried to contact me through the mail around tax season. Now that I am ready to pay this debt off, i find a non existant web site on my computer, but if I punch in the web site on my phone it goes right through! There is a web site, and it asks you for your payment ID # and your zip code. After you punch in that info, it says that it is gathering up your info, and then the site just ends!! I waited over 2 hours for something to pop up on this site, but still nothing. How am I supposed to get through when they dont even answer the phone!! I see im not the only one frustrated here!!!

Call like every 10 minutes. They even called today (Thanksgiving Day) at 8:17 am! Normally I'd just ignore it, but I picked up, said "F*** you" then hung up. Don't know if anyone was on the other end, nor do I give a crap.

All of a sudden I get this bill,I've never even had this card.You want my money for something and won't tell me what it's for or when it was charged? Screw you,don't harass me.

Do not waste your time calling your Attorney General or the FTC or FCC. Send Vital a letter citing the FDCPA. If they call again, constact a consumer lawyer and sue them.

Called by computer; didn't have my company name right; left number to call back; when I called they said my company owed $75.00 to Sprint; couldn't tell me anything else about it; refused to fax a copy of the bill or whatever they had; when I pushed them for the information they hung up. Their computer keeps calling everyday.

These idiots have been calling my home and office looking for my daughter who has not lived with me for years. I called back after the 3 month of calls from 8AM to 9PM, got an ignorant idiot named Miss Jiles on the phone who informed me that she was "trying to be nice to me" Who trains these morons? I informed her my daughter does not live with me, owes no one a dime (pulled her credit report, its a 780) and I am will looking into a class action lawsuit ASAP. I will send them a certified letter, and if they call me again, it will be the Attorney General of CT coming after them, they better have good inhouse counsel, they are going to need it. These are the worst bottom feeders of all time.

Calls and leaves no message. I added them to my call block list. They will never be able to ring my phone again unless they use a different number which I can block that too. I use earthlinks Telephone service which offers free unlimiting call blocking. Caller that is blocked only gets ring and never rings your phone or go to voice mail. I have about 50 telemarketers numbers blocked so far.

I am attempting to contact you regarding my granddaughter's account with your firm. The mailing she sent to me to take care of for her has a new account # of 011962925. I tried to call but was not able to get through to an operator because of numerous voice mail instructions that didn't allow a connection.
I am amazed that the mailing she sent to me is dated October 17, 2007. If I am able to talk to someone I can explain what is going on and I need a detailed account of the charges you are billing her for.
She is graduating high school this evening, in fact, and someone used her SS # to get a credit card for the charges you are trying to collect. She never attempted to get a credit card on her own and has not used one and now she is trying to get into college and this is affecting her as I am sure you can understand.

I would appreciate your contacting me so that we can do whatever it takes to straighten this out even at this late date as I explained to her this is not something you put in the drawer because it will follow her all the days of her life.

I am her mother's mother and if you need something from Christina to allow me to handle this for her please let me know otherwise I will be more than anxious to have you advise me of the information I need and what to do.

I was contacted by this company multiple times. Previous times have just resulted in a voice mail from them indicated they were trying to collect on a debt. Today, I called them back to find out what they are talking about since I have NEVER been sent to collections on anything. 'Michael' was the representative I was transferred to. Michael informed me that I had a debt from 2004 for a car repo. As I inquired further, I found that the social security # for this debt did not match mine. Michael told me that I was going to have to deal with this matter one way or the other and until I faced up to my responsibility, this would haunt me. He did not bother to even confirm that this debt was mine...he just ASSUMED and indicated that I was being a deadbeat. I have escalated the matter to his supervisor but I will not stop until I get this situation rectified for future 'deadbeats' that don't have any outstanding debts that could be harassed by Vital Recovery.

These people have been calling 10 -20 times a day for months unknown name, unkown number . I don;t answer unknown name or number . I received a letter today 5/5/08 saying I owe $9886.09 But they will settle for $ 5931.65 No mention of who I owe this to or why . I didn't receive a call. I received a letter to call them at 800-797-6072. In the letter it says (to review your settlement offer online: https:vital.acctpay.com/). The letter states that the sender is Vital Recovery Services,Inc.
the address listed is PO Box 923747, Norcross, GA. 30010-3747. I called to leave a message and the recording said the voice mailbox was full and my message could not be left. Their alleged client is MCI from 2000. I fought it in 2000 and the collections agency at the time dropped them because I proved I didn't owe. I never heard another word about it until now. I still don't owe it and I will not pay.

These idiots called at approx. 8 p.m., left a computer voice recording telling me to call them regarding a debt. Right. I want to report them too. They have a computer system to by-passes an unknown caller blocker service I have. Scum bags.

After reading all of these comments, we all know this is a scam. If at all possible, just ignore these calls. If a fisherman casts his lines enough times without a nibble or a bite, he will just move on to another spot.

I don't answer calls when the called ID says "unknown name." I have gotten several calls from this number in the last few months or so. I am on the "do not call" list and do not have any delinquent debt.

Don't take abuse from any debt collector. Go to naca.net and look for a consumer lawyer in your state and make contact. You won't be charged by the lawyer, they will file suit and in about 2 or 3 months, you'll get a settlement check for about $700 or so. Believe me, lawyers love to sue debt collectors, since some of them have also been the victims of their harassment.

There ought to be a class action suit against these people. I am not the person they are calling for and I have done everything they have said, including hanging up because I'm the wrong person, listening to their entire call even though that supposedly acknowledges that I am the correct person just so maybe there would be a human being at the end of their message to talk to and I have called them three times trying to clear this up but there is no one at the end of their answering message to speak with. Even if I were the right person, there is no way to even discuss this with anyone. Why don't they just show up at my door so I can show them my Birth Certificate? Hey, I'm having these issues, although, I have never gotten any phone calls or any prior letters. I just got a letter that said I owed $ but could settle with half. They give this phone number that same web address (which took to you!) to settle the account. I actually talked to someone who said it is debt from 2001, I bought a house in 2005 and got a credit report- this was not on it. Any ideas?

If this is a collection agency, they are calling me for someone who doesn't live at my address. I don't know the woman in question and have told them this for the past 7-8 years. This company is none for poor business practice when it comes to credit card information sold to them by your credit card company. If they have your info, they will call you until you pay them what they say you owe. Or you get leagal rep. to defend you. vital recovery services sent me a letter saying that I owed them 19,000.00 I filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission. Then I got a letter from them saying that I didn't send them the 5,000.00 that I promised them. I filed another complaint with the FTC. They are definitely scam artists.

I have received several calls from this company looking for a "Ryan Knutson" and I have told them numerous times that no one by that name is at this address or phone number. Furhter, they have used phony ploys and deceitful tactics in order to make contact with "Ryan Knutson" saying that his father has died and they were trying to get in touch with him. Since there is no one by that name here they don't get through to him. I know that this was a hoax by Vital Recovery because they identified themselves when I pressed them for the info and attempted to correct their information -- but to no avail. They also call from a number that is listed as 1-800-797-6093.

Like everyone else, I get numerous calls from this company. I have filed a number of complaints and also sent the company a C & D letter, which has not been complied with. I will escalate this to my and their state Senate office next. Perhaps a class-action lawsuit would be more beneficial. It seems there are already enough complaints to put one together.

Persistant calls from debt collection agency. I actually called them, answered their questions; they said they wouldn't call again - but they do and I'm not going to call them again - they know I'm not the one they are seeking.

If you are being harassed you can send a Cease and Desist letter to them requesting them to stop calling you. It will be beneficial for you to send the letter CERTIFIED this way you have proof that you sent the letter and they received it. Their contact info was found at edcombs.com

This company has been calling for about 3 months. They leave an automated message requesting that I contact them as soon as possible concerning a debt. I finally contacted them tonight. Spoke with someone named Ms. Kapinva ext#2569. She requested the last four digits of my SSN. I definitely let her know that I did not have have any debt that "needed recovering" and that she would not be receiving ant part of my SSN. I then asked her for her supervisor's name and she stated that his name was Mr.Peterson. When I inquired about his first name, she stated that his last name was enough and I may contact him at ext. 2885. Interesting group.

Ms. Jones called and said that I owed a debt from 1993. That is 14 years ago and they have not provided proof that I owe it.

Making my life hell. I got my current number over a year ago, and two deadbeats who skipped out on bills mean that debt collectors call me constantly and leave messages in the evening, weekends, and early mornings. I did NOT have GAP insurance (I do now!) and Vital Recovery wants me to pay $5000 on a car that I no longer have. He even threatened to garnish my wages! Called and got a live person who did NOT answer using any company name. They are phony debt collectors, "calling to collect a debt from 1999" quoting a debt owed by me to Compucredit ( never heard of them. Ask for my phone number and name, and tell me my credit report shows unpaid debt. All their assertions are FALSE, and they refuse to give me an address to write them a complaint. They have no website. Obviously a scam.
