Credit One Bank, call using this number as well as 866-372-2508.

I think this is Credit One Bank. Today they have called me eleven (11) times in 3 hours. There has yet to be anyone on the line. This is pure harassment in its best form. I don't even have an account with the creeps.

I don't answer calls that come in on my caller id as unavailable, anonymous or 800 service. They never leave a message but I found out that the caller is Credit One Bank.

This is credit one bank for sure. They were calling and calling and calling about a closed account I had! Apparently they charged a fee for using an online payment option when I closed the account and paid it in full. I will say, they did close out the account and did not require me to make any payments incurred from the online payment fee.

Someone from this number called asking to speak with someone else. (My boyfriend) I told her that no one by that name was at this number, and she proceeded to ask if I knew the person or a number they could be reached at. I gave them a number because I wasn't sure what it was in regards to- he recently filled out some mortgage applications online and is waiting to hear something back. I thought it might be important... it wasn't! Turns out it was just a credit company. I do not know how they attained my cell number or found out that I knew the person they were trying to reach. Kind of strange. In any case, I thought they were calling in regards to the application and gave them his number, so I guess they'll call him instead! I'm sure that if they managed to dig my number up from somewhere, they would find his easily. He has had an account with them long before I've known him, my name/number is not associated with them, I'm on the do not call registry, and I do not think they should be allowed to be contacting me.

I have been getting repeated calls for the past week and a half from 800-720-9997, 800-796-7303, and 877-501-4757. They let it ring once or twice, and never leave a message. I do not have any accounts with Credit One. I followed Warren's advice on this thread and called their application information line, 1-800-752-5493. After manipulating the automated system, I finally got a foreign operator. I asked him to remove my phone number from the call list. He asked me for my name, but I refused to give it. He gave me the name of the person that number is listed to - Sandra England - and asked me if I know her. No, and I've had the same cell phone number for 10 years. Sounds like BS to me. Anyway, he says my # will be removed within 48 hours. I will post an update if that doesn't happen.

Called and asked for someone with my last name but a different first name. When I asked who it was, the answer was simply "Ken" and then immediately asked for the different first name again. I inquired why and was told "This a matter of personal business." I immediately told Ken that he had the wrong number and the call ended. One note: I have been reading about this number and there is nothing good associated with it; however, the person that called me had a perfectly good ol' USA accent... (no foreign accent here).

I am too tired of answering my phone and I did tried to call them and the line is busy as always even calling me in the early am around seven in the morning. I am not happy to be bothered for no reasons..

Just try to get the phone company to do something about this and the frustration begins. I have been harassed by these folks for a long while and have been stymied in trying to get this resolved.

800-796-7303 is Credit One bank. My phone says they called me 5 tims yesterday and they neverleave a message. We had an argument when they added their finance charge which put me 8 cents overlimit - then they tacked on $76 dollars worth of over draft charges etc on the 8 cents. Well, you can imagine we talked about that. What a joke!

They just started calling me on Monday everytime I answer they hang up and when I call back the line is always busy. What company is this???

Golly geee....this number has been around for a long long long time now. Why doesn't the phone companies just stop giving out these toll free numbers? If anything those are the people who should be blamed, The Phone companies, not the people calling since they cannot just come up with these telephone numbers by themselves.

They keep calling and this is a new phone number they dont get it.... My voicemail says if I dont know your number I will not answer and if you can't leave a message stop calling. I am ready to change my number if this does not stop I have only had it 3 days.

My wife has credit 'issues', and I am used to calls from dozens of collectors. I have never experienced a
collector calling nearly as frequently as this. I do not know if she has an account with them or not.

call me everyday 5-10 times a day, let my phone ring once and hang up. this happened 6 months ago for several months then stopped until now. sooo annoying....if you keep calling the number repeatedly eventually it will ring, with some not very well spoken english woman...ask her to remove your number and maybe she will...worked for me for a bit.

I've not been picking up calls from this number, even though I have an account with them. I don't use my cell # for any kind of bill or utility, yet they've been calling my cell. And today, they used Caller ID spoofing to make me think their call was coming in from my workplace. I am on call during the holidays and had to answer it. I hung up on the very aggressive woman who identified herself as calling from Credit One. I'll be closing this account ASAP. That's just crooked.

This number has shown up on caller ID several times each day, and never leaves a message. I tried to call back, but the phone continually rings busy. Obviously a scrambled number.

They call our business wanting to talk to an employee. NO WAY! GO AWAY!

I stopped this by selecting a ring tone for every person in my phone book, and setting the default ring to silent. Now it only rings if someone I know is calling...otherwise they get voicemail. Downside: If you need to receive a call from someone not in your phone book...it wont ring :)

I work with toll free numbers ( 800 numbers) this number belongs to a Company "XO Communications" there office number is 888 575 6398, the ID for the number 800 796 7303 is ( NLS01) they refer to it as Resp Org ID.

Lets get these SOBs to stop calling us.

Used to be First National Bank of Marin however they are owned by Credit One now. They called my cell phone however I dont know how they got that number as I would never have given them that number. I may have possibly called them from it in the past to make a payment.

Like everyone else 10-15 calls per day. Like Dennis said below - get Voip and block the call completely. Now they can't even call me at all. I use One Connect IP voip service.

They call at least 2 times a day. The Attorney General Of my state says to call police. They let it ring half a ring and hang up. They don't give me a chance to answer. Usually I don't answer 800 numbers but this was so frequent that I tried to answer but they already hung up.

It's Credit One bank. They will begin calling the day after your payment was due if you didn't make it on time.

This is Credit One Bank. It's a credit card company. They call from this number starting the first day of your missed payment.

This number calls me, and hangs up seconds after they call. I don't even have enough time to answer the phone. I'd like to know how they got my number and what they want!

It isn't illegal for anyone to call your cell number Brandi if that is the number you provided when you set up your account. This bank had some little disclaimer that they may call you to 'remind' you to pay, I think this was referring to prior to your payment being due even. I think its bogus too. My account is cancelled and I'll just pay off the balance. I don't need it anyway. They just called my line for the first time as well, and no message. Very unprofessional considering my payment isn't due yet and I haven't even had to make a first payment so far...so I'm not late even.

I got fed up with them today and cursed out 3 of their employees. No more calls as of yet..

I just got a new cell phone from T-Mobile 2 days ago, and so far I've gotten 13 phone calls from this number. They call up asking for this girl Jess, I say its the wrong number, and 1 hour later they call back again asking for the same person. This is getting out of hand. They will not let up! This is really getting me aggravated. And whenver i call back to find out who it is, it rings busy and wont go through!

For those wishing to get their numbers removed from the calling list, call (800) 752-5493, and when they ask you to input your account number, keep pressing 0, or choose the option to inquire about an application, and eventually you'll get a real person. If you say you wish them to cease all future communication, and that you're on the national do-not-call registry, they'll "take your number off so you're not bothered with calls anymore." I'm not sure if it will actually work (will post again if it doesn't), but if you're firm, they seem to comply.

How can you stop these people from calling? I have reported this number numberous times but they keep calling.

For those that lucky enough NOT to have Qwest you can use the SELECTIVE CALL REJECTION feature to block these calls.
Immediately after getting one of these calls dial *60, listen to instructions. You may have to turn the service on before you can add a number to the block list. When it is active usually all you have to do to add the last calling party is to press #01# then hang up. Just listen to the prompts it will walk you though it.

This is an automated dialer from CreditOne Bank. THey use this dialer to learn when your home or not. If you answer and speak any word it registers the time you answered. So when you see this # on the ID just simply lift the receiver and drop it right back down without a noise. It then logs an error. :) Better yet I decided to send them a fax, with a 250 count retry if the number is busy. :)

888-729-6274 number will reach them, just keep hitting "0" on the phone until you get a real person, they had my number linked to an account - they took care of it and I shouldn't be getting any more calls.

My calls just started this morning - so far I have received 6 of them and it is only 2:00 p.m. Glad I googled the number to find out what this is all about.

They call at all times of the day, every hour. Thanks for letting me know who they are. Now I can register a complaint with my attorney general. I believe the laws state that calls can not start before 9:00 AM according to where the customer lives and must stop by 8:00PM and cannot be made on Sunday ANYWHERE!!!!

They call me constantly at work and on my cell phone. They hang up when I answer. They NEVER leave a message.

Caller I.D. clogged with calls from this number. No message ever left, number always busy when I call back. Have no accounts with Credit One or Marin, don't know why they are calling.

We get these calls all the time, nothing is in collections and i've never heard of first bank of Marin. where the heck is that anyways? i live near DC. I have answered it a total of 3 times, twice it was for a man i had never heard of and the third time when they asked for him i told them i had told 2 other operators he didn't live here nor had i heard of him other then their harrassing calls. they have told me THREE times now they would stop yet they keep calling 8-10 times a day 7 days a week.

These pricks have been calling me 7-8 times a day for the last two weeks. I after reading the comments here, I went online to the account and changed my phone numbers to the number that they call from.

I got my cell number taken off the list..apparently one of their account users put their house number as my cell number. She proceeded to ask me questions as to where I lived, my street address..completely unprofessional and I just made up some city and address. The whole thing sounded kind of fishy.

This one is to let eveyone know that if you send them written correspondence (not sure if emails count), or if you've talked to them once that day, they aren't supposed to call back. It's a violation of the FDCPA (Fair Debt Collections and Practices Act) and they're supposed to stop.

If you've done this and they still call, contact your Attorney General.

I quote this from the document:

"A debt collector may not engage in any conduct the natural consequence of which is to harass, oppress, or abuse any person in connection with the collection of a debt. Without limiting the general application of the foregoing, the following conduct is a violation of this section:

If this is a collection Agency, under FDCPA they can only call once a day, if they speak with someone. I keep asking for someone who doesn't live at my number, and it is getting old!

I've received call repeatedly from this number all day, seems like every hour on the hour, at least until about 9:00 p.m. weekends too. I did not know it was Marin/Credit One until I looked up the number via Internet and found out who it was. I have an account with Credit One, paid up nothing lat but they just keep harassing me. I think I'm going to pay off and close account, this is very annoying and harassing. I tell anyone leave Marin/Credit One alone.

Credit One Bank, (Formerly: First Natl. Bank of Marin, Ca)SUCKS! This company USED to be a descent credit card company.... with good customer service! Now they HARASS ANY card holder, within a few DAYS after their payment hasn't been received! (AND WILL NOT STOP CALLING!) Same report as everyone else. My exception is that I DO have a credit card from Credit One but I have not used it in over 10 months. My balance was paid off in full via online payment. The $4.95 fee for online payments was posted as a new charge and since I never knew, I've had late charges for the last 10 months. I went online, checked my account and was shocked. I paid the bill and the calls stopped immediately. Now to get the late fees refunded.

Only the phone number appears on the caller ID. When I call back it's busy. They call about 5x a day.

I've been getting calls from 800-796-7303 NON-STOP since I got my new cell # the end of September. Lately they seem more frequent and it makes me INSANE! The 1st cal of the day is usually @ 8 a.m., but has come as early as 6 a.m.! OMG it infuriates me!! How do you get RID of these vultures??

It's Credit One, formerly First Nat'l Bank of Marin. They call my cell sometimes 5-10x a day whenever I'm overdue on my payment. They will never leave a message but I don't have a problem getting through to anyone when I call the number back. Pay your bill and they calls will stop.

They have been calling my cell for months. The few times I've answered it is a woman from a collection agency looking for a man by a name I've never heard. I tell them I'm not him, and ask them to stop calling but the calls keep coming.

This is a collection agency. The call from 8:00a to 8:00p, up to 15 times a day, 7 days a week. (which I belive is against the law according to the FTC)
