How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the
FTC. - Block them with a call blocker:
Uniden DECT1288 blocks up to 20 numbers, plus Private and Unknown, with the reject tone, without ringing the phone.
Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

I just called Chase on the back of my card. They said this is a none existant number on their phone listings and to NOT call them back. They wanted my checking account number. Do Not Call them it is a SCAM
This is a SCAM. Message claimed it was the Chase Fraud dept and wanted to inquiore about a check. I do not have an account or anything else with Chase.

This is a real number for Chase fraud operations. They knew the exact amount of the check that I wrote as well as the payee. I was not about to give them my credit card number, but they didn't even ask for it. I suspect that the fact that I called them back from my home number helped to confirm that the transaction was legitimate.
Only use known good numbers. Phone calls, mail, email, even counterfeit web sites can have fraudulent numbers.
I called Chase at the number on my card and asked for the fraud department. The question was resolved, and the agent confirmed 800 766-4908 is a Chase number. Not sure how those with conflicting reports could be resolved. In any case, never call to an unknown number and give information.
SCAM! ignore the people on this site claiming its real. They are just messages from the scammers trying to get you to call! GO AND LOOK UP THE CHASE NUMBER OFF THEIR WEBSITE IF YOU WANT TO BE SURE!!!
This was a legitimate automated call from Chase Fraud Operations to verify a balance transfer check I had written.
THIS IS A SCAM-TRYING TO GET YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER IF YOUR STUPID ENOUGH TO CALL THEM BACK AND GIVE IT TO THEM. TO CHECK, ALWAYS CALL THE NUMBER ON THE BACK OF YOUR CREDIT CARD(S)

This is Chase Fraud Operations. They called to confirm that I wrote a convenience check. They knew the amount and who it was made out to. 100% legitimate.
Automated message from Chase's credit card fraud operations, and the call was legitimate. Call accurately listed the amount of the charge in question and where it was charged to. It then gave the option to acknowledge that the charge was valid. (which it was)
Called back the number on the back of the credit card instead of this one, and there were no issues nor any note in their records that Chase called. Not sure if that number is legit or not, but it's safest to just call the number on the back of your credit card to verify.
I received a telephone message from Chase Bank that they would like to verify that you authorized a convenience check on the Chase Visa credit card account. Reference code 3000. Please have account number ready. A fraud operations adviser will be available 24 X 7. Call 800-766-4908.
I could not find this number on Chase's Web site but I have seen numerous other people saying that too have received a call from this number.
Received call from this number whose recording stated that Chase Fraud Operation noticed unusual charges to my Chase credit card. Recording didn't state card holder name and interestingly, I don't have a credit card with Chase.
Is this a fraud call or Chase doesn't have correct records for this particular account.
I belive this number belongs to the Chase Credit Card Fraud unit. Not 100% certain; but it has not been a problem caller.
