Called 4 times and each time no message left. I just added this number to my phone block list.
Got called 1 Jul 10. Viewed the comments below. Will not call them back to prove anything. I am sure it is dirty ploy to extract that this is a good number. Telemarketers are not honest anyway. None of them ever are. I am on the do not call list and they cannot read that info. Most don't have reading ability and their intelligence levels remain low enough that about the only job they can do is telemarketing. That covers it for most of them.

Pittsburg National Union Fire Insurance...I also chose the option 3 and was told my request to be removed will be processed in 2 days.
Asked for me by name, said they were calling on behalf of Fingerhut (with whom I do in fact have an account), and then tried to peddle some stupid insurance. I told them to remove me from their list and then went into Fingerhut's website to ONCE AGAIN change all my communication preferences to "LEAVE ME ALONE!" (not the first time they've mysteriously all been checked Yes again...).

This is a SCAM company attempting to gather information. They do not honor the do-not-call list becuase they are not a legintimate company. If you feel you must try to speak to them, DO NOT give them personal information. My suggestion; DO NOT ANSWER! It aint really Wells Fargo Insurance, or any of the other companies they claim to be. You can still report them to the do-not-call list but I'm not sure there is anyone on the other end of that line either. Stay Safe!

I was sent a letter asking for $215.40 for annual fire insurance coverage. I do not use this company for insurance. I called police.
I was sent a bill saying, please remit $215.40 for annual fire insurance renewal. I never have had insurance through this company and will appraise the police department of its attempt to receive monies from me that I do not owe.

To be placed on their no call list, follow prompt....1 I think....and enter your phone # , area code first. It said that my request would be processed in 2-3 business days. I'll see what happens.
I use a software to filter all of my calls, so they just automatically get hung up on but they're calling me 3 times a day for three days. Well I hope the no call list entry works!

this call was supposedly from the royal bank of scotland offering us a gas card from citizens bank(subsidiary of rsb) i called citizens and they believed my card was compromised. royal bank of scotland is not permitted to call or get info....privacy laws, etc. be wary of this.
I called the number shown on my caller ID - this week, anyway, it's for a company called "U Promise", which is related to Student Loan payments. No big deal, I need to followup with them.
I let the answering machine pick up, and I put my phones upstairs on "Do Not Disturb" so I don't have to keep hearing the ringing. It's very disturbing when you work graveyard shift. I don't get phone calls on a daily and if family or friends really need me they can hit my cell phone.

I have been called 3 times between 5/5/08 and 5/12/08 by "National Union Fire Insurance Company Of Pittsburgh, Pa". This company underwrites AIG's insurance policies. I called AIG corporate and asked to be put on AIG's do not call list. They gave me the number to AIG customer service. The number is 1-800-470-1453. I was told it would take about 30 days for my request to be processed. I was also given an address where I could write to have my info removed. The address is: P.O. Box 44260, Jacksonville, FL 32231-9905. Hope this helps.)
DO NOT CALL or dens any info.. this people will get your personal info to buy stuff and full your credit cards. I have a friend who is getting charge more than 2000 in health insurance with same PO Box in FL. We live in California. But people in credit cards are even more stupid how would you bill a person in California for a health treatment in Florida without even asking or consulting the Credit Card Owner. Just Stupid. P.O. FAX back to 1-800-553-1077
You prefix your call with *67 so that your caller-ID doesn't go through on the call. Put a couple of "," characters in the rest of the programming sequence (gives a four second delay for the *67 to take effect and for the phone to return a dial tone). Then program the rest of the sequence "1-800-553-1077" into your fax dialing string. Follow with a string of ",,3" characters so that your phone doesn't hang up. The reason for the ",,3" sequence is that their automated system WANTS "1" or "2" so ",,3" keeps it cycling in an error mode.... A much longer call !!! Tell your FAX machine do try sending the "FAX" until it is successful. If you do this around 10:00 p.m. and tell your FAX machine to abort trying when you get up for breakfast the next morning..... Well, after all, it is an "800" number and they surely would NOT have called you unless they really urgently wanted to hear from you so you might as well put it in writing (even if they're slow to respond to FAXes --- on their VOICE line !!). After a few thousand dollars of "800" number calls, maybe they'll put a FAX switch on their line.

Call 800-553-1077 and then follow menun prompts. You will either be able to take your name off the list via the menus or talk with a human, who will take you off. I went through a menu option and my calls are supposed to stop within 48 hours.
Called back and put myself on their do not call list even though I am already on the national and the state do not call list.
Calls 2 - 3 times a day. Never leaves a message. When I pick up nobody says anything. Next time I'm going to blow a whistle in the receiver as loud as I can. That should either stop them or really piss them off huh? Maybe I won't do that. LOL!
I get 1-3 calls/day from this number for the past 1 1/2-2 weeks. When the machine picks up, they never leave a message. When I answer, they never respond, all I hear is what I perceive as breathing on the other end of the line. So, as a response to these pointless calls I turn the radio up loudly to a crummy station, answer the phone, set it on the radio and close the door. Today it sat on the radio for TWO WHOLE HOURS and they never hung up! UGH!
I am on the no-call list, and I don't see why I have to order these criminals to obey the law. Got a Call from this number today, it's not on my hand writen list of Debt collection agencies so I thought I would have my mother answer it since she was closest to the phone, they asked for me when she said I wasn't here could they leave a message they rudely hung up. After doing research on this site I found out it was either Wells Fargo or Insurance Services. I don't use Wells Fargo or do I need Insurance so odds are it was just a spam call.

I've gotten a couple of calls from these scumballs. I'm on the FCC DNCL, and that is, according to FTC/FCC regulations, good enough. Perhaps these jerks think they're above the law. I am reporting each and every call as a DNCL violation. Maybe if the the FCC sues them they will get the message that the law applies to them too. I don't understand why some people have posted that they call the number back to try to get on the scumball's personal DNCL. You are not supposed to have to do that. I suggest an alternative - everyone called by these jerks call report them to the FCC for DNCL violation. With enough reports hopefully the law will be enforced - and these people will learn to obey it.

Operator said calling from Wells Fargo offering enrollment in plan to reimburse for expenses related to visiting doctor. Wells Fargo has already paid for first month, could she send free information to review and plan could be canceled at any time.
I have been receiving calls from this number too many times to count. They have not left messages and it is caller unknown so today I answered the call. Asked for me by name and said they were GMAC mortgage. It was a supplemental accident insurance "offer". Person very pleasant and not very pushy when I said I was not interested. It will be interesting to see if the calls will finally stop coming in.

Once again they called. Claiming to be calling all of Wells Fargo customers. Wells Fargo claims they know nothing about this company and have not sold or given out any information on their clients. This same bunch has called from other 800 Service numbers and claiming to be calling from other businesses, such as Fingerhut. This is what they are using to get around the Do Not Call list, claiming to be from businesses or companies you already do business with, event though they aren't. If you ask them too many questions, they hang up. Each call is a different person. I do honestly believe this is a scam and the majority of those that are calling are suckered into believing they are making honest sales calls and getting paid by the call. One of those "make money at home" jobs. Where are they getting this information? Who knows...your trash?..online? A disgruntled employee of the companies being mentioned who has sold the info?
I constantly file complaints and will continue to do so until someone does something and I suggest everyone else should too.

It said that it would take from 5 to 30 days to completely remove my information from their marketing list. It is some sort of insurance company.

Also, be aware that unlike ANI (automatic number identification), which gives the information linked to your billing account by the Telco, Caller ID can be altered by the caller.

I started getting calls from this number on daily basis about a week ago. My answering machine picks up, then without identifying themselves, they would talk to my answering machine "hello may I speak to (my name), hello? hello?". Once I picked up interrupting the answering machine, but they hung up.
I did a Google search on the number and as may says, I got a result "National Union Fire Insurance". When I called the number I was able to find, AIG picked up the phone. AIG's # is 800 457 3741
They did confirm they were National Union, but denied having ownership to the phone number 800-553-1077 and that they were not the ones making the calls.
Who knows.

"Insurance Services" have called me (excuse me, my spouse) four times between 4 Jan 2007 and 9 Jan 2007. They don't want to talk to me. Spouse is not home in the day. They call in the day.
Worse, I am on the Do Not Call list and have been since 2002. I have reported "Insurance Services" to donotcall.gov. I have "Insurance Services" them that I am on the do not call list and have requested to get off of their list. I have called "Insurance Services" back and requested to be off of their list.
What do I have to do to get rid of this telemarker? What is their real telephone number because this number only goes to two options. One is "Will you please call me back," which is obviously no good. Two is "Please put me on your do not call list," which obviously does not work.

It says it is National union fire insurance. I do have a loan w GMAC so maybe they are the ones selling phone numbers as another person suggests. The comment that says it is a collection agency makes no sense for me since I don't have any debt other than my mortgage. Their message requires you to enter your number which confirms to them that it is a good phone number. Then it says they will add you to their do not call list within 5 days but to allow 30 days to completely remove your number from their promotional effort. Which is it? I'm more angry at whatever company sold my number, I don't give it out unless absolutely necessary so someone is betraying a trust relationship. Scum.
I too am on the "Do Not Call" list, and National Union Fire Insurance called us for days before I finally called back and followed their instructions to get myself removed from their list. How is it the Do Not Call list does not apply to them? Aren't they liable in some way?

They are a collection agency called Allied Interstate. I know. I have something in collection with them and they call me every day. If you do a search for Allied Interstate, you will see how terrible they are and try anything to get money from you. I refuse to do business with them and am working with the creditor directly instead. They are NOT a fire insurance company or someone offering medical benefits. Their tactic is to verify who they are talking to first, then they call back once verified they have the house of who they are looking for and say they are Allied Interstate.
People are continually harassed by Allied Interstate. They call me all times of the day. A quick Google search will let you know of the illegal and unorthodox activity of this company. I noticed the number 800-553-1077 calls me shortly after the numbers I recognize from Allied Interstate. National Fire Insurance agency is probably, in fact, Allied Interstate. They simply want to verify whether or not anyone answers the phone.

Just got a call from this number. I picked it up and immediatley hit the # sign half a dozen times. This should confuse the computer that dials the number. It's worked for me before. So I thought I'd do it every time I get an unidentified call.
