How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the
FTC. - Block them with a call blocker:
Uniden DECT1288 blocks up to 20 numbers, plus Private and Unknown, with the reject tone, without ringing the phone.
Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

Receeived 3 calls in 2 days - asked me to verify name, address, last 4 digits of SS#, would not disclose nature of their business w/o personal verificartion of info. - very suspicious

This caller is a member of the Capital One collection MAFIA, they intimidate you and harrass their creditors.
They deserve not to be paid just ignore them. Anyway, if your credit is bad, then they could not harm you anymore.
Have left a dozen messages - for a name that doesn't live here. (I've had this number for 20 years.) Then I picked up and caught the person live last week. They had me repeat the number to them so that they could take it off the list. They called again left a message again today.

They've been calling every day for a week but finally left a message to call them back. They had my correct first name but the last was wrong. I told them to stop calling and they patched me through to the supervisor. This really seems like they are fishing for information.
Asked for someone not at this number, they Hung up when I said to remove number.
Left mesg telling me, "This is Prescious at TDM...office open until 10pm EST...this is time sensative..." Rediculous. Like I am going to call back a company I never heard of...right.

I have logged as many as 13 calls in one day on my caller id. Sometimes I pick up and it hangs up on me! Attempted many times to get them to quit calling and they refuse. They are always right, right?
Capital One, called repeatedly home number and somehow got my wife's work number even though she wasn't on the card I was dsputing. EXTREMELY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL.
After asking to stop 4 times, was told to call the same number and ask for manager "Chi Chi" at extension 5365. Left a message on 2/7, but the calls continue.
Called early on a Sat, then called and hung up several times a day

Calling several times a day, leaving this message "1-800-535-4528 between the hours of 8 AM and 10 PM eastern daylight time". I find it both annoying and menacing at the same time.
