The phone is ringing, and I don't recognize the number,
All Caller ID says is, "NAME UNAVAILABLE".
Please help me figure out who is calling and what they want

NO!!!!! THIS IS a SCAM! ...if you have a card, call the number on the card and speak with a rep.

This is a real call from citi wanting to warn you that they have changed something on your credit card. In my case it was the credit limit. You don't have to call back to this number just check your account on line or call the number on the back of the card to see what changes they have made. I had never been late on pmts and always paid more than what was due but the changes were made anyway. So if you get this call you better check your credit limit they are trying to make changes before the new law goes into effect and screw the customers.

Got a call claiming to be CitiCards. Left an ID code to call back with. After entering the code, the automated system still asked for "verification information", starting with zip code. I hung up at that point.

Keeps calling, leaves no message.

How do I stop them from calling?

  1. Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
  2. If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the FTC.
  3. Block them with a call blocker:
