Well, they called again, a few hours later, on my other phone line and left the usual spiel on my answering machine. Very annoying.

I just got a call from "Rachel" with another offer to lower my credit card interest rates. She really gets around, doesn't she! She's called me from half a dozen U.S. states in the span of only two weeks. ;-)

This was a recorded messasge about lowering credit card interest charges. I hung up before it finished.

It's Rachel from Cardholder Services. AGAIN. For once this is coming from a 1-800 number, rather than one of the myriad other autodiallers that they have been harrassing me with in the past. Hopefully they will be consistent enough so that I can block them now.

Rude supervisor said they are calling from Tacomah, then hung up on me.

Rude operator refused to remove me from the call list and hung up on me. I am waiting for a call back from a supervisor.

These idiots have been calling for awhile but I don't answer.

Nix that double-counting. I guess you can comment without reporting.

I'm here in Edmonton, Canada, and got a call from Cardholder Services (or something like that), offering lower interest rates on my credit cards. Got a recording and had to press 1. The rep asked for my credit card # and I asked where they were calling from (b/c I knew it was a scam). She snickered and asked for my card # again and I asked where she was again. She continued to snicker and then she hung up. I will report this to the Competition Bureau of Canada. (I've actually reported on this site already but pressed Report instead of Send, so I will be double-counted.)

How do I stop them from calling?

  1. Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
  2. If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the FTC.
  3. Block them with a call blocker:
