How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).

FTC. - Block them with a call blocker:
Uniden DECT1288 blocks up to 20 numbers, plus Private and Unknown, with the reject tone, without ringing the phone.
Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

A neighbor with the same last name advised they have been receiving several calls a day from this number, asking for me. Claimed to be HSBC. While we do bank with HSBC, the bank confirmed they have not had been trying to reach us for any reason. When you try to call the number back, you get the following message "We're sorry, you have dialed a number that cannot be reached from your calling area. PUAAL40" Online research seems to indicate the number is related to telemarketing for multiple entities.

Numerous calls per day. Thank God mine is not a cell phone where I'd be paying per minute. I already had to change an email address to the excessive spam. Now it looks like I'll have to PAY to have my phone # changed. I just might sell everything and live in Montana's wilderness to free myself.
They call two or three times a day and don't leave a message. So annoying, I decided to find out if it was some cheap credit card marketing scam.
HSBC is Household Bank. I keep getting calls, but I am current with HSBC.

I reported this number to the Do Not Call Registry complaint area on the website (donotcall.gov). This number calls me almost every day and I too have no connections what so ever with HSBC.
File a complaint with your local police department for harassment. What these bastards are doing is a crime.
I called the # and it's a recording asking if I want stimulating conversation

From early in the morning to evening, several times a day, I get a call from 800-446-1022. I don't answer, and they never leave a message. How can we stop this??? It's past annoying!!!

They call 6 times a day at least for the last week. I do not answer the calls. Tempted to forward my calls from this number to their Corporate offices.

Totally annoying. While writing this complaint they called again! 2 x in 10 minutes. Enough!

I get them daily
these people call me at least 5 times a day. Not to mention I get calls from other various numbers. HFC and HSBC. Super annoying! Won't leave a message. Try calling back and it's a recording. so lame.
