This number calls us alot. Finally, found out they are from the Sierra Club and are exempt from the Do Not Call block. :(

I have been called before. I called them back the phone rang again and again. No one answer. Thats a big red flag to me. Don't answer it.

You know, I just registered my new number for the do not call list, and 3 hours later they call. And they are exempt from the Do Not Call list? Is that fishy...?

If I don't recognize the number or they are not identified on the caller ID I have my answering machine pick up--if they want to contact me badly enough they will leave a message. It is annoying, however.

Call from this number on 8.30.07. I didn't answer because of no identification on Caller ID. Does anyone know what - if any - the policy is if you request your number to be removed from a non-profit's calling list? If they don't remove it, are there repercussions?

This is a telemarketer who calls on behalf of non-profits. I was able to answer before their predictive dialer hung up, so I got a live person. In my case, they were calling on behalf of our local NPR station, asking me to renew my membership.

I will renew my membership by mail, not through these clowns. I'm sick of the "two rings, then the predictive dialer hangs up" calls from this mickey mouse telemarketing company and I plan to include a letter to that effect with my renewal check.

If they need to use telemarketing for fund-raising, at least they could use a professional company.

They called me 08/01/2007, raising money for John Edwards.

Calls all the time does not leave messages

I got my first call from them. I'm being innundated with 800 calls, primarily from HSBC. These are driving me absolutely nuts. Thankfully, I have Vonage phone service, and I can switch my phone to do not disturb and check for messages later.

Shows up as Tollfree...I also do not answer unless I recognize it, but sometimes these people will call repeatedly in the same day! Aside from being a nuisance, it borders on harassment...

Rang 3 times and no one there when picked up

This number, and 2 others from the share group have been calling my cell phone several times a day each one. Whenever I pick up the phone, there's no one there.

This number has called every day for a week now. Does't leave a message just hangs up. I don't answer unknown calls.

Got this phone call on sunday 3-4-07 and have gotten phone calls from 866-499-2753 3 times last week with no message left everytime.

I've had occasional calls over the last couple of days from these people, but today was bad. They called this morning at 09:06, 09:08, 09:08, 09:13, 09:17, 09:18, 09:20, 09:21, 09:23, and at 09:25. That's more than enough, you think?

I called back and offered to prosecute for criminal harassment, haven't heard from them so far though it's been just a couple of hours. We'll see. They should be out of business acting like that, if I could help them get there I'd love to do it.

Called tonight at 5:30. Representing a civil liberties group I used to belong to, wanting to know if I'd like to renew. The kid was pleasant and seemed surprised when I talked to him respectfully (he'd already told me whom he represented).

This number and a few other 800/866 numbers have been calling for the last week. Every time, the call is disconnected as soon as I pick up.

Called 1/11/06 8:30PM. Did not leave message. Have called me several times. I pleasantly left message for them to stop before, this last time I was irate. I'm fed up with being bothered by them, and also having to pay for their calls to my cell phone. There was no called ID indication as to whom they were.

The problem with these dialers is they wreak havoc on my handset--the multiple attempts to get through, etc. It costs me $40 to replace a handset battery and these people call and call and call.

TOLL FREE - called, nobody spoke, hung up.

Called 12/9/06 - "not provided" on caller ID. Have received calls from 866.499.2755 on 12/11/06 and from 800.956.0076 on 12/13/06. All numbers related to the "Share Group" but did not answer any of these calls. very annoying.

On 12/1/06 at 6:30 PM I answered my home phone and a man asked for "Gina" – I asked who he was and where they were calling from. The man was very rude, he said..."I'll just call back when Gina is home, this is ridiculous!" Can you imagine? I pray he doesn't try again!

I don't answer unless I recognize the Caller ID.

Called at 11/21/2006 at 11:18am EST. Call lasted two seconds before disconnected.

This is one of 4 different tollfree numbers that has shown up within the past month on my caller id. I don't pick-up and no message is left.

Mine came through as a Toll Free Call but when I called the number back, it rang and rang with no answer.

Called twice - once on 9/2/06, once on 9/5/06. I didn't answer because it was an unknown number. I think it's related to similar annoying calls from 1-800-960-9976 and 1-866-499-2755.

After requesting once that my number be removed from their calling list, they have continued to call. I have again left a message requesting that I be removed from their calling list or I will move to the next step to see that I am removed.

This is a grassroots advocacy/lobbying firm that calls constituents and patches them directly into a House/Senate office to advance an agenda for a group that pays them through a contract.

I called this "800" number back. A recording comes on identifying it as a number for "The Share Group," a firm that does fundraising for non-profit and political groups. They are said to be exempt from Do Not Call lists. The recording gives you a chance to leave a message concerning their use of your number -- I left one asking that they not call me back. We'll see what happens.

This number calls about once a day... hang up before I can answer.
