The number is for Citibank/Citicards. I've been receiving calls from another number for over a week now telling me to call that number because they can't personally talk to me. Finally decided to call but would not give them my full social or card number. After going through the verification process, they told me it was in reference to my one lonely Citi credit card account. The finance charges on my last statement sent me a few dollars over the limit. Apparently they start calling you immediately, even if it isn't past due. I stated that my payment isn't due until Jan 6th and they said that any time it goes over the limit, even if it is because of them, it is immediately due. Funny.... because my statement clearly does NOT say that. She offered to give me a number to call to get a address to mail them a letter to not call me. Wow, what a process. At that time I was just annoyed and hung up. Since I got paid yesterday I was already planning on making my payment today anyway. Can't wait to pay this one off with my tax refund...
I was getting calls twice a day from (816) 420-4002 instructing me to call (800) 388-2200 regarding my City Card. I called the 800 number, did not push any buttons (including the press one for English) and was connected to a person. She asked for my card number and I told her I was a bit suspicious and would provide her with my phone number that they were calling twice a day. She was able to look up the information and asked for my name--I told her my first name and she said they were trying to reach and other people. She said it was common with cell phone numbers and they will stop calling me.
This seems to be a scam. Do not give out any more info than your phone number (which they obviously have) and name.
Called my Citi Card's Customer service number about this and they said that this is a VALID Citi Card phone number.
If you are suspicious of who is calling you, do not give them any information and let them know that you will reach them through
the Customer Service number on the back of your card to ensure your security. Remember that no one is legally allowed to strong-arm
you into giving or confirming personal information over the telephone. You always have the right to confirm that you know who you
are speaking with about your personal matters.
My husband said this number has called three times and never left a message. He called it back they said they were Citi Card and they wanted his account # and SSN#. He doesn't even have a Citi Card.
It's a scam. Don't tell them your bank account information.
I got onto the official CitiCards website and called the customer service number. While the REAL CitiCards could not confirm that this is a real CitiCard number, she also said that Citi has so many 800 numbers that she could not deny it either. I called but refused to provide anything more than the number on which they left a message. Interestingly, the woman I spoke with said she couldn't find any accounts linked to that number. Very interesting, no? I've seen other boards that indicate that this might be part of CitiCards collection, but I personally think its a scam
It is Citicard. The message said to call this number but when I checked the caller ID it was 5057976327 which is confirmed to be Citicard
It's a scam!!!
They asked for the number of my credit card and SS#!!!!! They called me several times. When I asked what is the reason for calling me they asked me again The # of my credit card. Suggestion: if you have city credit cared call the 800 number of customer service of your card and report to the bank .
I believe it's for Citi cards. Do you have a Citi credit card?
I got a message that said to call this number back but the message began in the middle of someone talking. They left no name just told me to call back
ps: they don't ever say who they are, and it sounds like my voicemail starts in the middle of a recording of this woman's talking.
Someone keeps calling my cell leaving this number to call back, it sounds like a telemarketer but it says they aren't. I'm getting tired of this though! I PAY for cell phone minutes damn it!
