How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the
FTC. - Block them with a call blocker:
Uniden DECT1288 blocks up to 20 numbers, plus Private and Unknown, with the reject tone, without ringing the phone.
Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

A pre-recorded voice message that wasn't worth my time
Called my work number. another scum sucking collection agency trying to call and scare a person into giving out personal information and location of someone else.

Recording started and I hung up, as I don't talk to machines.
Recorded message saying you have a personal message at 800-bla-blah please call back and state your info
Called work number again. Left a message on a general mailbox that all employees can hear. Was called back and told that these types of messages and calls will not go through because they are personal financial business. Collection agency of some type. Turning them over to the legal dept. at our company.

They number was called back by the company, and told that person does not work there.
They were rude and tried to intimidate the employee that called to let them know that employee doesn't work there. They were very rude and threatened the employee. Don't know what type of company they are . but it seems like it is collection agency. I feel bad for the person they are looking for because they have been giving out personal information and contacting anyone with the same last name, trying to intimidate them.

They called a work number and left a message on a general voicemail box that everyone pulls information from. The name was not an available employee. They were called back and told this, but they were rude and did not want to take number off their list when asked to take it off.
Some type of scum collection agency harrassing and threatening people by trying to talk to the supervisor and boss of a person. Illegal practices. Beware, they lie and say it is a medical emergency to get through to the person's boss. Then they share confidential financial information. Our legal department has said that these calls are not purtaining to the company business so therefore do not have to be put through. and should be advised not to call on company time any longer.
called work. asked for HR dept. started giving financial information to HR dept. concerning an employee. Was told not to call, and told not to give personall information because it is illegal.
