They call every day, usually a couple of times per day and never leave a message. How can I get them to stop. We are already on the "do not call' rergistry, but it doesn't seem to work!

We get called every day and we`ve had enough ! Please stop !

They call me at least 4 to 6 times a day every single day. Very annoying people.

I share the same anger you all do and I have an idea. We need to get our representatives phone numbers on this list. If everyone in each state would do this, something might get done. I'm going to record from the phone company their message,

First of all, don't EVER answer these calls. That just gives them a time to call back again (and again). One thing I've tried with quite a bit of success is to turn my answering machine off so the phone just rings and rings. First of all, I'm usually at work when these calls come in so the phone ringing doesn't bother me and secondly, if it DOES happen when I'm home, it doesn't bother me b/c I always check Caller ID and then just snicker to myself. They're wasting precious time letting the phone ring and rarely do beyond 5 rings. I've never had one to continue to call after the 2nd attempt with no answer, no answering machine. One last trick is to answer "District Attorney's Office" and then tell them you're recording the call.

These people call up to 8 times per day, usually with a long silence followed by a recorded message. On at least 5 occasions I have gotten a person on the line and asked to be removed, with no results. I have also filed a dozen complaints with donotcall.gov with no results. They use too many numbers to successfully block their calls. I have taken to refusing to answer, but that doesn't discourage them at all. Today they started calling before 8AM and I filed yet another donotcall complaint. It seems hopeless, and the donotcall deal seems utterly ineffective against them.

THIS COMPANY NEEDS TO BE STOPPED WITH THE PHONE CALLS THEY ARE SO RUDE AND DISRSPECTFUL AT ALL HRS OF THE DAY AND NIGHT

800 Service calls 3 - 5 times per day, 7 days a week - sometimes before 9:00 AM or after 9:00 PM. I have caller ID and never answer their call. After over a year of this, you'd think they'd give up calling ... NOT ! My phone number is unlisted and on all of the no call lists. I guess I will have to answer their call and explain to them that I will bring legal action on them - It has worked on other nuisance callers previously. The FCC should step in and bring these parasites to civil court.

Very annoying. These people call me at least 5-10 time a day and leave no message. I work from home and it's not nice when they call when I am on my other line with a client. BTW, my caller ID shows a 866 number for them and when you go to file a complain with the Do Not Call registry you can't because they are not registered. I can register them but give my email for reference??? No way!! Now I'm not so sure the do not call registry is legitimate. They probably GIVE the telemarketers a list of numbers not to call and the telemarketers call anyway because they know they can keep calling until legal action. I'm so frustrated!

800 Services calls me 3 to 4 times a day. They never answer and whenever they do, they offer these outrageous gift card deals that I don't need.

Seems like they are calling in as US Census office now. Sounded intimidating. Declined to provide them with any personal information.

1-800 service is not there phone number btw... its mine... i have no idea how there doing it but it makes my job all the harder to try and tell people and promise its not us calling... I want this to stop

I told her I didn't accept telephone solicitaions. The lady became very load and started telling me that she had the right to call me. I said good bye and hung up on her. This same number has been calling me for about a week. I finally answered the phone to get rid of the repeated calls.

Check your phone records for any long distance call charges. There was a charge on my records for $20.00. A collect phone call I "accepted" from 1-800-Service. Must be a scam.

This number has called my elderly father for months and months. When he does manage to make it to the phone, they hang up.

I just called 1-800 Service at work and it said that it was USA Broadband.

I keep getting calls from this number 800 Service. I didn't order any 800 Service. I'm not going to call them back because, maybe if I do, they will subscribe me to something. They keep saying...If this is Patricia Carter... One time I picked up the phone and yelled, "I am not Patricia Carter so stop calling me!" and they still keep calling. They have been calling me for years. I'm still not Patricia Carter. I don't even know a Patricia Carter. I wish these phone calls would stop. Maybe if I get another call from them, if I'm home, I'm going to pick up the phone and blast music in their ears. Maybe that will stop them from calling me.

1-800 Service have the most RUDE and IGNORANT people working for them!!! They are calling looking for someone who does not live here! We have filed complaints with the Attorney General's Office, and our phone company. We have asked them to stop calling, and they say they will, but they still call. They call from 9am until 9pm EST. I can not stand this anymore!! We can not change our phone number for some reason, so they still call. The Police will not help us, and the phone company can not block them from calling, because it is an 800 number. WE WANT THEM TO STOP!!!!!!!! IT IS HARASSMENT AND THEY ARE RUDE, AS IF WE OWE THEM MONEY!!!!!

I've been getting calls from this number for about a year. I've filed a complaint with the do not call registry and told them time and time again to remove my number from their database to no avail. I'm going to cancel my Discover card since I never use it anyway and it's got a zero balance. I'll bet I still get the calls. I've asked them for a corporate number, a boss, an address and they never have an answer. Has anyone been able to get rid of them?

these guys are calling my husband and me at least 10 times a day. usually there is no one ther, but yesterday some woman wanted to send us a gift card from Wal-mart. Asked if we still lived at my address. I have tried to get them to stop calling, but they just keep calling and are rude.

This has got to be the most annoying phone service ever. From 8:00 am to 9:00pm they can call as many as30 times. Sometimes there is no one there and you are told to wait, sometimes there is nothing, they may ask for someone that resides at that number or may ask for someone you have never heard of before. I trully wish and intend to find out if they are even legal as this truly seems like harassment or phone stocking. Even though I put in 800-607-8991 it comes back to this when I added comment

Calls, verifies card number and address. Wants to send "free" gifts. Had this call awhile back as well, nothing arrived. Thankfully, the card in question was cancelled. Contacted VISA to verify if it was a part of their company. They said 'no' and instructed me to contact the FTC. Gotta be a scam.

They were cold calling me regarding a recent medical prescription I had purchased - they thought they had a better deal on the specific prescription. Where are they getting that information? That is private, personal information. Is my pharmacist giving out my medicine history?

I got these people today with the same story. When I asked if they were affiliated with my credit card company or Marriott, they said they have a marketing partnership with them. I told them to take me out of their data base and they passed me along the line like a timeshare presentation. Finally, I was told I would have to listen to their promo first. I refused and they refused to take me out of their registry and that I would receive additional calls.
2 hours later I got a call from a cell # 949-256-9182. I asked what his name was and he said Conner Brown. When I said that his name was not Conner Brown because no Asian Indian has a name of Conner Brown, he began to insult me. When asked what their company tax ID number was he responded with 1-800-asshole. He then dropped a couple of F words on me and said they had my entire credit card number and that they were charging $500 to my visa. He then hung up. This is not telemarketing; is is fraud and harrassment!

Never give out your number to any other 800 number. I did in ordering something I had seen advertised with their PROMISE not to sell my private number to anyone else. Well, 800-266-9420 has become my daily nightmare. Even when I answer they hang up. Go figure! Maybe they are trying to tap in on my line to use my number for other purposes-in this crazy day and age it could happen. Problem is:how to stop this. My cell people said I can contact the FCC and that might get this looked into.

This number is one of the most annoying things I have experienced! I too, like everyone else on this website, receive 4 calls a day from this number 800-266-9420 for the past three months. I am on the do not call list also, but apparently they do not care that it is against federal law to keep calling. I agree and feel we should file a class sction law suit against them. I have been getting theses calls for about a month and I called this #(727) 536-8800 and told the guy that answered that i wanted to be removed from there call list and he apologized for the hassle and said it would be 24hrs and no more calls ...we'll see.

This number calls me almost every day at least twice a day. The 1st time they called, they asked for Peter, after I asked "Peter who?" they hung up on me. Every other time they hang up after I answer the phone.

the calls started after i entered a contest from the monster jam, monster truck shows, saying that we had won a trip, but we would have to take a tour of a resort golf course first. told us the last 4 digits of credit card. then we inquired what bank she got her information from and she hung up. try to call the number back and get a fast busy signal, or nothing at all. receive the call at least 10 times per day.

I kept asking who this was and they kept responding, "This is Thomas." Then they started using my first name. Eventually they hung up. It was kind of creepy.

Basically, the same calling routine as all the above. The FCC DoNotCall Registry should act on this number and several other ones that are being used like this. Do NOT give any information to them. It is a scam!

I think that if everyone pick up the phone, but don't answer the phone. It may consume their resource or delay their system. They will finally know it will not work on these call except let they lost money. I started do this today as they call 6-8 times per day.

For weeks I have been receiving over 4 calls a day with no one on the end or a hang up. Today there was a man on the end.I asked not to call me anymore and he began to argue with me. I repeated my request and hung up the phone. Seconds later he called again and said "We called back" and hung up.

I've been getting these calls for weeks now. I have a pre-paid cellphone and made the mistake of losing out on some minutes the first few times they called, getting the same response of hanging up after I answer and noone available upon callback as most others here are experiencing. I finally decided to check this number out on Google this morning after they woke me up right after I finally got to sleep after a really long day. And I have another long day coming up in a few hours. My bad for not turning the ringer off. I just now signed up for the National 'Do Not Call' list. If anyone decides to track down and sue this company for harassment in a class action lawsuit I'll definitely sign up for it.

This number calls me randomly during non-business hours and hangs up. Doesn't say a word. I don't get it. Happened twice now, once today 12/22/06 at 6:14 pm and once two days ago 12/20/06 at 7:55 pm.

update that number is a telemarketing company that was hired by adaptivemarketing.com to advertise for at home rewards and refuses to release who they hired there number is 1-800-962-4106 so if you have a fax at home set it to redail and let it run allday on that number be sure to put like 15 0's after the number so the fax gets a live operater!!!!!! and then keep calling hours later and demanding the name and number of the company they hired because when we get it we can file in small claims agaist them.
