I worked for this company recently. It is not a bad company the people there are professional. I am not aware of persons being called repeatedly numerous times a day, as we called outside of florida. I know that if someone asks to be removed from the DNC list it is done immediately without hesitation. Perhaps it is fair to note that yelling at a rep and hanging who may have just started may cause that person to place you on the callback list. You simply say, "Sir/Maam, put me on your do not call list. Thank you" I am sure it will be done if not then call the company directly and they will remove your name from the calling list. Reps do not make $ by calling people who are not interested and continue to ignore or hang up. Get on the DNC list so these reps can do their job with people who are interested in receiving wonderful gifts for trying a 10 day risk free trial membership. You all are smart enough to post your comments I am quite sure you are intelligent enough to calmly find a solution to remove yourself from a calling list. :) Use your time wisely.

I have also been getting numerous weird calls...their new line is that as a valued customer of (fill in the blank...visa..citibank..penneys)they are offering a lowered interest rate that will expire in about 20 seconds. When you ask then which c.c. they are with they hang-up but keep calling back. Also, they had info that they should not. I also recently discovered monthly charges to my jc penneys card under the name Leisure Plus, which I believe is connected to these so-called marketing groups.I started getting the calls and charges after booking a trip with Orbitz and shopping at Amazon. I remember seeing a jc penneys ad on one of their links. Penneys website actually has a disclaimer about these ads, but they still allow charges to go thru every month.I didn't notice at first, I only use their card about once a year and pay it off. I finally noticed after getting overdue notices and $25 late fees on $8.50 that they have been billing on my card for at least 4 months. If you actually go to Leisure Plus on the web it pops up blank with two lines of type that say, "Sorry but there are no offers available to you at this time, we hope to serve you in the near future." Hell, I don't even know what their "services" are. I think alot of these problems generate from slick "look-alike ads" that are being allowed on legitimate business websites. I recently contacted I.E. about a pop-up window that looks exactly like theirs that appears in front of their actual page, the only difference if you look closely is that it is semi-transparent. I copied it and sent it off then killed it.

Yah, so I worked for this company "Epiphany Worldwide LLC" for a little more than a month and, gosh, what a bunch of SCUM!!! They let people with a felony work there and do the calling. They have them apply for a license to do the work they do which takes around 2-3 months but in the mean time they are allowed to see all your credit card information before they are fired! They do eventually fire those with felonies but my ex has a felony and they knew about it and didn't care. They just told her to keep working until the license fails. She has told me stories of druggies coming into work stoned and the bosses would only say to them,"Man! You smell like weed and look high as hell! Put some cologne on or something." This number has called me 3 times a day for the past 10 days. I keep answering and just letting it sit so maybe they'll stop. They don't. Earlier today I answered and it was a man saying he was hungry and asked if I had food.

I just recently filed a police report about their life threatening phone calls and the FBI is now handeling this. They said they are all over it

I placed an order for something advertised on TV (which by the way I was not happy with the way the order was handled). I've been receiving these calls ever since. When you call the number, you get a "disconnected number" recording. I have a private number and I'm reporting them to the phone co. if they keep it up.

They have been calling me at least 4 times a day for the past 2 weeks. I have voicemail and they don't hang up before it picks up and they message he left today was a frustrated sign/grunt noise. I did hear someone in the back ground-a man shouting something i can't make out. Weird and extremely annoying!!!

I purchased an item from a TV commercial buylistenup.com. Ever since then I received 55 calls on my cell (during 10 day period). I bought a personal sound amplifier. It does not really work properly. Its a scam. They sell your phone numbers!

I've gotten calls from this number but wasnt avail. to answer it. I continue to get these unknown calls from several people apparently & they always offer something free. I just tell them i'm well off enough to pay regular price for my gas & groceries rather than take their "free" offer & risk giving out personal info. or I deny my existance if they know my name. these people claim to be from Visa Rewards, saying Ive won a $100 gift card for gas and a $2000 shopping spree and they have all of my information. I've asked repeatedly to stop calling me, but the second I do so they hang up. When I ask who they work for, they hang up. When I ask how they got my information, they hang up. The 727 is Mayfield Kentucky Area Code. The prick sounded like he was rolling the wheel in a revolver when I recieved the first voice mail from him.

Those devils called me again. The caller was Brian from Visa Rewards. I asked for a callback number and he gave me 877-807-2392. The Google lookup shows this number belongs to Direct Discount Club P.O.Box 1466 Great Falls, MT 59403 - Member Services # is 800-293-1155 and Product Utilization is 877-807-2392. When I asked which bank issued the Visa account, he told me he was with Visa Rewards not a bank. I started pressing him for more information and he hung up. A call-back to 727-541-0001 resulted in a recording that says the number is no longer in service or has been disconnected. BEWARE. Thanks to all of you who have taken the time to post alerts. This allowed me to prepare for today's call!

Same thing happened to me - and it was so obviously a scam. The called has been "Galaxy Member Benefits", "Discount Company" and "Visa Rewards" (all from the same number). I started asking questions so I could report the company, and the man who I was speaking to got really angry and shouted "I'll bet you're not married! And if you were, your husband left you!" (I'm a 20 year old college student) Then I said I'd report him and he told me: "No one will marry you!" .. Not very professional.

This phone calls are driving me crazy... they call 6 times a day every day including saturdays and this has been going on for about a month now. My answering machine is on all the time. it's not so much of a business scam...more along the lines of a conartist scam. for it to be a business scam it would require the business to actually exist. for it to exist it would have to actually provide a service or a product...which it doesn't. for it to exist the "staff" would have to exist. they don't. it's just fraud. don't answer. don't call back. report to local authorities or FBI.

The woman claims to be from 'Leisure Plus' which I highly doubt after reading the previous posts. These people are definetly scammers who are fishing for someone to give them all the info they need to rape credit card accounts.

I discovered that these guys gain access to our information after you first make a purchase from some other company, such as something advertised on TV or the internet. For me, the offending company that apparently provided my information to these assholes, was Slendertone of slendertone.tv

I presume they must be the offending company that sold my information since that is the first online purchase I have made in over two years, and I only started receiving calls after returning their product.

If anyone else can narrow down the companies that sell our information to these guys, please post it. It might help in providing fair warning to others, as well as possible information for a class action suit.

So i did it for only 2 rings, and it went to voice mail and iHeard a GANG of people in the background on my voice mail. Sounds like scam all the way around. I got several calls and tried to call back even. Then I googled the number and found out it was a fraud. I tried to get some information from the fellow and managed a last name and then promptly reported the fraud to everyone I bank with. The name he gave was Anthony Petro. Everyone says it's to their CC's but this was my checking acct. Scary stuff. Remember to get their info and report it.

Just pickup and don't say a word, or if you have a FAX machine tone(mp3) they will enter it into the system as a BAD number and they shouldn't try to call again.

I let my answering machine pick up the call because I didn't recognize the number. I could hear rap music in the background. Then a young woman, who obviously thought someone answered, kept saying my name trying to get an answer. She hung up when she realized she had the answering machine.

Hey y'all its me again I dont know how much help I may have gotten for everyone... but I just within the last few hours called the FBI and had them look into it then within the last hour I got another call from "them" again. Hope the FBI helps and looks into it they told me that if there have actually been cases with the company where they are scamming people then they will definitely do something about it other then that I dont know. If I continue to get calls the police will hear from me as well as whoever else it is I have to get ahold of to stop this insanity! Hope I can help!!

I have had several calls from this number over the last few days and I tell them I'm unavailable and when I ask who is calling they usually hang up this made me question the number so I looked it up online and thankfully I found this website now that I know what the calls are about I cant wait to get the next call from them because I have a built in recorder on my phone I will be sure to post my results

I have been getting these phone calls all day for the last few days. I also got a phone call at work from a guy in florida that left another number to call the voicemail sounds like TP services? has anyone encountered this, i cant tell where that call came from, is it the same company?

These people have been calling me for a week. At least twice a day during weekdays. I have purchased things online but only through my company. I have several websites which i put my cell phone number on but not visa, and not amazon. i don't bank with usbank, so.. im not sure where, or why, all the sudden. i tried calling back and missed. haven't answered a call yet but we definitely have to do something. This is ridiculous.

i know where the company got the info from. us bank b/c i bought a gift card credit card online from them for my friend jake. the reason i know usbank must have sold the info to the company is b/c when this guy called he asked for jake. they called 4 times so far and it's pissing me off. I asked them to take me off the list and they have not. I am on the do not call list so there they don't care about that.

called me several times offering $1,000 shopping spree & knew the last 4 digits of my CC. Asked if they were from my Visa Co. said yes. Thought it was fishy and declined. Double-check my CC for charges, none.

This number calls twice per weekday on my cell. It rings just once then disconnects. Try to return call and its a fast busy signal.

this number has called about 25 times in the last week or so asking for someone named Robert ( I assume old person who lived at the number) said they would remove me from list but never do.

Don't answer these calls at all. They're scammers!!!They call often fishing for info to rip you off with. They are very rude, pure scum of the earth.

We just received a call from this number and no one was on the other end when I answered. We then called the number right back and it said the number was not a working number.

They offer a $1000 shopping spree and $40 worth of gas. They give you the last 4 digits of your credit card and read off your address. Don't give them any more information than they already have. I'm getting my credit card replaced.

We received a call from this number as well. Just like others on this page, he only knew the last 4 digits of our account. He hung up when I pressed for more information. As with others on this page, he has called many times. We closed our account and are reporting to the state attorney general.

I've received lots of calls from 702-553-0594, 800-266-9420, 813-541-0001 and 800-871-0631 (as well as lots of restricted, unavailable & 000-000-0000 caller IDs.)

They all loop back to a few organizations: Adaptive Marketing LLC, UMG, plus a couple of others.

Their conduct constitutes violations of federal telemarketing laws (calling DNC numbers, concealing caller IDs or company names, etc.), harassment, intimidation, retaliation and assault (cursing at us when we don't buy their garbage). These violations are worth at least $10,000 PER CALL so get a percentage-based attorney and go make some money!

I have to add a side note: do not listen to any input from any person that fails to consider the legal ramifications of the actions and conduct of these organizations. I have to wonder about the motives of people who seem to believe it is legal for organizations to harass and intimidate people into accepting charges for services that we do not want and who also advocate that it is somehow legal for those same entities to blatantly ignore and violate the law in an attempt to increase revenues. It makes me think that in addition to being egregiously incorrect in their conclusions perhaps they also work for the same organizations that are harassing all of us.

I think that if everyone pick up the phone, but don't answer the phone. It may consume their resource or delay their system. They will finally know it will not work on these call except let they lost money. I started do this today as they call 6-8 times per day.

They are calling me almost daily. They had the last 4 of my credit card. They signed me up for a trial subscription to get free gas and a bunch of discounts from grcery stores. I obviously canceled the service when I realized it was a scam. But they keep calling.

This number has been calling twice a day for two weeks. On the one occasion I got a voicemail it was a garbled muzac with a female Hello? Hello and then nothing. Will not answer and see how long it takes them to give up.

i been getting calls from 7275410001 and 4056037076 for the past 2 weeks, not to mention all the anonymous calls.. they never say anything.

I keep track of this website along with a couple others simply because it's funny to me to see how uneducated people are. It is not a scam. It is perfectly legal and ethical. If it was illegal, the company would have been shut down by now. If you pay attention and actually listen to the phone call, you'll find out that they are not asking for credit card information, they already have it. You volunteered your information to a company when you made a purchase. Obtaining that information and using it to market other products and programs is legal. If it wasn't, this company and many others would not be in business. Think about it people....

I just got a call from this number today. As always, I Google any number I don't recognize. I was shocked when I the numerous pages relating to this fraud.

NEVER give an unknown person your CC info. If there is any question hang up and call the company you think is calling yourself.

call United Marketing Groups 1-800-399-6661 from a pay phone. When they answer just say 50 cents and hand up. do it a couple of times. it is my understanding that whoever is paying the bill on the 800 # gets charged 50 cents for each call that comes from a pay phone.

All you guys are pitiful. You have absolutley no knowledge about business or marketing. It is perfectly legal, and ethical, to use information obtained from purchases. If you choose to do business with a company which in thier privacy policy clearly allows them to trade and or sell your information then you have no one to blame but yourself. If you were as savvy as you think you are you would never receive any phone calls from hard working people trying to make an honest living like you or I. Do yourself a favor and stop being so paranoid with this conspiracy theory that everyone is out to get you. I get them at least 4 times per day. Once I answered and said I wasn't interested in their offers and then the next day they continued to call me 4 times. I hung up on them twice.

I just found this number as a missed call on my mobile today. I hope this doesn't turn into a constant situation like I'm seeing here.

I also tried calling the number and simply heard a message that the call cannot be completed as dialed.

I didn't answer the call, but the number came up on my caller ID.

They have repeatedly tried calling for the past three weeks. We finally took the call and they said they were calling on be-half of my visa card, when we refused the offer they started cussing us over the phone. Pretty sure it is a scam, would advise everyone to not give them any information. Said they were going to send us a bunch of stuff and we only had to pay $1.00 for each item.

I have called the ftc and every bank I use and the local law enforcement to handle these moronic dildos. This might seem a tad extreme but this is the only way to handle it. got two calls from this guy today. First time he was offering free porn then he called back and I said the person he was looking for wasnt available,he then said he was my bf,,i was like ya ok

telemarketing evil trolls called me from this number. Told them to take me off the list this is a cell phone and was called an asshole in return.

727-541-0001 has been calling me EVERYDAY non-stop up to 5 times a day starting as early as 8AM until late evening. i have yet to answer this call, and i wont, but it's really making me insane! ive already registered on DNC list, so ive put in a complaint, and they will get fined.

I have been calling all sort of #s today tracing them each back to UMG - United Marketing Group, which is the name of the company that is calling from the # 727-541-0001. I finally got a 800 # that is supposed to completely wipe your phone # from their calling database. Give them a call and see if it works. By the way, they will try to play stupid with you insisting that are not associated with UMG, tell them otherwise, tell them that their company name is plastered all over the internet in relation to shady business practices and demand that your # be removed. The # is 1-800-399-6661.

this number has called 6 times in the past two days. It is a reported scam company trying to lure you into accepting a one dollar charge in return for all sorts of gifts such as free gas for a year, free frequent flyer miles etc. They call, sometimes ask to speak to me, sometimes they hang up, and the last time i answered the caller was carrying on a conversation in the background and all i could hear was laughter. Another aggravating little tid bit is most of the time the caller is someone of hispanic decent that speaks really broken english. It seems like if they were going to hastle you they would atleast go as far as getting someone that spoke decent english.

Person said they were calling from Visa, which is not something that would happen. This # is my husbands, they gave the last 4 digits of an account number that is one digit off of one of ours. He kept asking my full name and I refused stating if he were indeed calling from the bank he would have that information. He was offering free gas, free shopping, and some other items. I also asked where he received the cell # because this is not something we use when placing orders, he stated it was received from an internet order or something.

I was receiving phone calls from 727 541-0001 on my cell phone, morning, noon & night. After the first call I Googled the number & found the same thing everyone else did, a credit card scam. I told them I knew it was a scam, asked them not to call back, said I reported them to the police and was having my phone monitered... nothing worked, they just kept calling back. UNTIL 2 weeks ago. It was a Saturday morning and I was working in my garage. They called my cell and I answered... breathing heavy from working I said "Buddy, you caught me at a bad time... I got my **** in my hand and I'm ready to ***!" With that he swore at me, hung up and has NEVER called back. It's been over 3 weeks now.

Keep getting call over and over. Once I spoke with someone and they said they were with citibank. I get maybe 15-20 calls a day.

I called Amazon.com about this issue because the phone calls only started after i had purchased a book from their site. "Coincidence..???" Amazon.com told me to send an email to (stop-spoofing@amazon.com) explaining the situation. I hope everyone sends them an email complaining because i have had enough.. They can not sell our information and get away with it...

I have been getting multiple calls daily for more than a month.

Been getting calls for over a week now. 2+ calls per day. Answered once, no one responded. Looked them up and saw this site. Some one mentioned Amazon.com selling info. I went to the site. They didn't have my cell #. Maybe there is something else we all have in common. Ideas? Checked ebay and paypal. Don't have my # either.

I got calls from this number 727-541-0001...they have been calling my phone since 10-11-06 about four times a day. They call during the day. I'm a teacher and haven't been answering my phone. Finally on Friday, October 13, I called the number back. It says the number is out of service. I found this odd. They called again about 9:00 am, Sat. 10/14. I had my husband answer the phone. My husband asked who it was and all they would say is they were looking for Josh. My husband told them they had the wrong number. He said it was a hispanic speaker-male. They called again a few hours later. My husband answered the phone and told them to stop calling, a**hole!. So far, they haven't called back. We'll see....By the way I am on the do not call list. The list obviously hasn't helped me.

Lots of people have been taken by calls from 7275410001, they claim to have affiliation with American Express and Offer A free gas card however, you can hear noise in the background (Hispanic speaker & baby crying)
Ask them how they got your number and the call is dropped, indeed same scammers.

I just got my first call. The caller sounded like they were in a warehouse with lots of people calling.
After I started sounding skeptical, the caller on the other end made excuses of "bad connection" and ended the call.

So it's me again -- I'm getting the calls again, even after telling them not to call me anymore and saying I don't have any credit cards.

Thursday night I yelled at the "lady" and told her I've already spoken to someone and filed a report with the FCC on them. And she was like "Oh, that explains it. We tend to keep calling people back when they are f***ing rude to us." and hung up in my face. And yes, they have called at least 3 times. I have added them to my phone book with a silent ringer, so at least I won't have to be awakened by them calling at the break of dawn anymore. All I notice is that I have a few missed calls, and it's them, and I shrug it off.

Question -- I've heard Amazon.com sells customer information. I'm wondering if we all have Amazon.com purchases in common ?? That's really the only place I've used my cell phone number with that credit card. Even my card issuer doesn't have my cell phone number. So it has to be somehow related to Amazon.com I would think. Anyone ?

How many times do you have to say 'take my number off your list'. They need to speak with my husband regarding his discover card. All BS! Last time they called, they asked for him. I asked who was calling. They just continued to ask for him refusing to tell me who they were. Finally, the woman said are you his wife and I said what company are you calling from and she said is this his wife and I asked if she was with Discover. She said rather frustrated, "you know what ma'am, never mind" and hung up. I hate to have to play the game but I can be as big a pain in the ass as them. Haven't had a call in 3 days since.

These individuals have called at least 4 times a day for the last 3 or 4 days now. I am glad I input the number in Google. Nothing but bad info on these folks. I am surprised that with so much info that the law has not caught up with them.

im tired of getting these calls from 7275410001. i googled the number and everyone is saying that they offer a shopping spree and gift certificates, and that they say they have your cc number. but in my case they just hang up in my face, its weird. its also sad that the police and the fbi allow these scammers to stay in business.

I have received 4 calls from these people in the last two days. I am very glad I looked up the number on Google. I already have my name on a do not call list. From what I have read these indivuduals need a visit from the police.

Is there any way to stop these bastards, they have been calling me 2-3 times a day for the past month. At first I told them no I was interested but they kept calling, I then told them to stop calling me. Now Im at the point were I pick up the phone throw out a long line of cuss words and hang up. I've gotten four calls from this number in the past 20 hours. I haven't answered any of them and after the 4th call, I Googled the number. I wasn't really very surprised to see that it's related to a scam.

My calls started yesterday at 9:30am. Finally, I was so ticked off that I answered today. "Can I speak to Ed?" "Who's calling?" "Jason." I said "Who?" And he's acting like it's a friend of mine saying "Hey, it's Jason!!" and I'm like "Who are you??" "Um, I'm Jason.. calling for Ed?" I said "But I don't know you!!" he's like "Oh... well I'm jason calling on behalf of your Visa account." And I'm like "I don't have a Visa card" (an obvious lie.) He's like "Well, your Debit Visa card." I said again.. "I don't have any Visa cards... debit or otherwise." and he's like "You don't have a Visa card ending in ****?" And I'm like "Nope!! And do not call me again!!" So I went thru my cards, found out the card that had those digits, called the issuer, and when verifying my phone number with them... learned I had never updated my new number with them!!! So even if it was my issuer trying to call me, they would not have been able to contact me cuz they had the wrong number!!! So somehow the scammer got my new number, and the last 4 digits. I filed a report with the fraud division of my issuer, and had my account number frozen, and reissued a new number. Stupid scammers!! Who do they think they are dealing with here?!?!

started calling me on July 11th twice a day, now three or more times a day. said he was calling with regards to a visa ending in my last four digits when i finally answered. I previously looked up this number and found multiple web sites citing it as a fraud, so i told him i knew what he was doing. He called my an @sshole, said he was putting my name on the list for a whole year and hung up.

They are calling me at least twice a day. I have told them that they are calling to my cell phone and that I don't appreciate that and to stop calling me. When I asked them who they are they say it is a Credit Card Reward Company and they wanted to verify my home address to send me some coupons for free Gas 'and yes they claim they have my last 4 digits of my CC... I need help this is insane they just keep on calling to my cell phone.

This person has called me 22 times (and counting) since 7-12-06, I missed the first call, declined their "VISA $3,000 Shopping Spree" that evening, then they called 3 times on the 13th and 14th - I picked up and hung up everytime, hoped they'd get the point. Then I started ignoring them from then on, they've been calling twice a day - am and pm, finally on the 21st, I answered and asked them to take me off their do not call list... they've called me 3 more times since.. one being later that evening! today was way earlier (7a) and way later (9p) than usual. Luckily I'm up that early, but I go to bed before 9, starting to get extremely frustrated!

Claimed to be from CitiBank Rewards. Agent knew the last 4 digits of my credit card with Citibank.I contacted Citibank and they suggested I register on Do Not call list. I will be closing my accounts with them because of this.
