- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the FTC.
- Block them with a call blocker:

Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

I got this call at around 10:24pm, I picked it up and they hung up, but I think who is connected to this...
Calling and telling me something is wrong with my Windows program and asking that I turn on my computer, I told them to remove me from their call list and he's goes there is something wrong with your computer, I asked again to be removed and he goes I can prove it and I asked one last time remove me from your call list, he goes ok goodbye.
They called me. I answered because I thought it was my boss who's cell has the same area code. They asked for me -- I think -- but pronounced my name terribly. However, they said my last name right which freaked me out. I hung up because I know I don't have to talk to anyone on my phone about anything if I don't want too, and we all have this right no matter who it is (but there are negative consequence occasionally). The caller was male and had a thick non-US accent that I couldn't place. I called back and heard "This is DNVRC026ps1 operated by 5617...." just like someone else on another site. If I'm ever unsure of what a number is, I call it back. Other sites have hundreds of complaints about this number, so never answer it. They might have real information that they are using to scam you. Additionally, another site says that 720-708-1000 is a "spoofed" number. So don't answer and don't call back.
I am posting this same message on multiple sites today, so people will know what the deal is.
I didn't answer it, nor did they leave a message
Wanted us to put in credit card numbers NOT!!!!!!!!!!
Reported as a DNCL violation
No answer when I picked up. When I called the number back I got a recording saying: "This is DNVRCO26PS1 operated by 567G."
Man named 'Chris' calls using this number, keeps asking me if I'm at a hotel. WTF?
What the heck? These guys called me 3x in a row and just hang up. The first time they hung up before I could even answer it. They're calling on a work mobile phone that is also on the Do Not Call list, and outside of business hours.
"Out of area" hung up on ans machine. called b-4 on 1/19/12. Called today on Sunday.
after reading some of the comments below, it looks like the jerk calling me and the rest of you is that "anthony56" character.... wow.
When they called, they asked if I wanted to refinance a mortgage. When I asked for their name and company name, they hung-up.
When I called the number back, I got a recording that stated exactly as follows:
"This is NVRCO26PS1 operated by 567G"
Called twice today. Silent on their end.
I didn't answer.

Unless there is a valid ID from someone I know, I never answer these calls.
REMEMBER people, DO NOT give out any information to this FRAUDULENT business in Belmont, I'm currently trying to get in contact with the BBB, (that's Better Business Bureau if you're unaware of what that is) and file a complaint against this business for harassing phone calls and attempted credit card scams. He calls people up that are he thinks are at a hotel and tries to get personal information claiming to be some sort of executive of Verizon and tries to get personal information out of you. DO NOT give this creep any of your personal information, and yes, that even includes your NAME! I recommend using a fictitious name. I know he's using a program called SKYPE to initiate the calls and 'spoof' his telephone number. For those unaware of the term 'spoof' it's a new thing scammers are doing to alter their number that shows up on your caller id, I've contacted them about as well and they've agreed to provide me with log files to be used in court. But anyways, I'll be keeping you guys updated on here so we can finally put a stop to this, he's not gonna get away with this. See, you guys can't just give up like that. You have to be persistent and follow through with procedure if you want to accomplish results. That's how you become KNOWLEDGEABLE! Trust me, that's been my life motto. But enough about me LOL, let's put a stop to this. If you have been getting called by this 202 number then you are probably being a victim of a credit card scammer. I have the necessary information to pursue legal action, so don't hesitate to shoot me an email and I can assist in providing you the information you can give to your local law enforcement and no longer be a victim of this. Email me at my disposable email account : anon09176@live.com

Hi all,
I'm sorry to hear that you've been a victim as well. What you need to do is call your local law enforcement and put a trap on your line like I did. Also, call your phone company and ask to speak to somebody higher up in management (that's the only way you'll get somewhere) and explain the situation. I believe we an put a stop to this guy if enough people voice their grievances. I've been rounding up some the other victims and I've heard some of their stories, and I've come to realize we're dealing with somebody who's deranged and potentially dangerous. I plan on having my lawyer call sometime tomorrow to inform him legal action is being pursued. You wouldn't believe the stories I've heard from the other victims, I'm starting to think this guy is maybe mentally unstable or has some sort of mental illness if he's doin' all this s**t (if what people say is true). I'm thinking that his 'business' is actually in fact running some sort of scam here to get credit card numbers, because in one call I remember him yelling at saying 'What hotel are you at?' and giving multiple false aliases in an attempt to trick me. Well anyways shoot me an email at my 'disposable' email because you can't trust anybody on the net, it's anon09176@hotmail.com. I'll send you some links and telephone numbers you can use to report him to local police department and phone company.
Best regards, Anthony G.

Called me on 3/12 at 7:11pm then today, 3/16 at 11:29. I called back and there was just a busy signal. Uhg!
They left me a message saying they were a my credit card machine needed PCI validation and an upgrade is required for all credit card machines.
Received a call from this number. Caller ID indicated Denver Co......called back and I was told my call couldn't be completed as dialed
Robocall saying I'd been selected to receive a free Disney vacation. Yeah sure. I hung up before it finished.
This number showed up on the caller ID where I work. When I answered, there was an audible "click" like it was transferring from an automated dialing system to an operator. I promptly hung up.
Really looks like a messed up deal. See: soundboardprankcalls.wikia.com I don't know how much if any of it is true. However, due to a school bullying issue I already have *66 enabled on my phone and will use it if this number calls again.
this turned out to be someone trying to fax me. Don't know who but they called my home # (again)
These jerks call all the time and hang up on you.
This number has been calling at differnt times this week, but not knowing anyone from there I did not answer. Yesterday during the day we probably had 4 calls, and beginning at 9:30 PM calls came every two hours until 5:30AM. No one would speak during the night when we answered.
No messages left
did not answer and no voice mail.
Now they're using females to call and say Hi grandpa don't you know who this is? When you press them for info, she says Oh I guess I have the wrong number! UH DUH! MORONS!
Hey everyone, with the help of my local police department in Tuscon, AZ, I've proceeded to trace the harassing phone calls down to a business in Belmont, Massachusetts. I've discovered information about the owner of the establishment via google and I'm in the process in filing a law suit against this guy. From my research I've discovered, his name is Chris Perron and it appears he's pissed off a lot of other people and business owners (according to negative feedback on his Merchant Circle account as well as other places). You guys can even see it for yourself, just type the guy's name (Chris Perron) and the business (Datboys Data Recovery) into a google search engine, you can see that guy has got some serious problems and definitely needs psychiatric help. So long story shot, if you have also been receiving death threats and harassment from this guy like I have then please contact me via email so I can link you with some references to put this creep to a stop and end the harassment. By the way everyone, Satan destroys his own!
Please email me at anon09176@live.com if you have questions/concerns.on this, I have a lot more information regarding this.
Did not answer and no voicemail was left.
when I called the number back, it said the number cannot be completed as dialed.
When I attempt to use the 'block caller ID' feature (*67) on my Voice Over IP service, this number (720-708-1000) shows up on my outgoing caller ID instead of my actual phone number, and instead of blocking the caller ID like I had expected. It seems likely that this number is used as the blocked/missing/invalid caller ID for other customers of the same VOIP service that I use.
In fact, the VOIP service I use is merely a reseller of many 'lines' that are also used by many competing VOIP services, so it is likely that this number is 'used' by many people and services.
Answered it and someone with an Indian accent said it was Washington DC grant admin. and my name and number was selected to receive $7000. I guess I didn't relpy fast enough so they hung up. So it's obviously a scam. Probably trying to get bank account information.
This number (reported before) is continuing to call once or twice a day. I've reported them to the Do Not Call list, but based on the type of grandchild- or friend-in-trouble scam calls that are being reported from this caller on other sites, I don't think mere illegality of the calls will stop this one.
I tried to call back the phone number and I got an operators message "we're sorry your call cannot be completed, please hang up and dial again." Checking my call ID they've called 5 times in the last 3 days!
I didn't answer the phone. Looked the number up on another site and found several accounts of obvious scammers trying to get e-mail addresses, etc.
