Called my cell phone and hung up on me.

I don't answer this number as don't recognize it.
They never leave a message on the machine.
Am also on a do not call list.

Called this evening. Didn't recognize the number so ignored the call. No message left on my answering machine

Got a call from this number at 7:40 p.m. Hung up when the answering machine clicked on.

another call from this @#$! number, everytime they are selling something and I can hardly understand their broken english, i slam the phone down every time and say - take me off your list!!

Want to know who this is calling and not leaving messages.

I get calls from this number at all hours, consistently ...3am, 6:30am, 8:30pm. Give me an address and I'll take care of this problem once and for all.

I did answer the line since I could not identify who the caller was and O registered on the state and national do not call registry I chose to ignore it

They've called a few times and just hang up when I answer.

I have FOUND THE SOLUTION TO THESE CALLS! I called Verizon, my home telephone services company after HUNDREDS of calls from this and other numbers. Yes, they are phishers claiming to be some sort of pharmacy.


Verizon told me that many of these phishers BOUGHT MY telephone number from 1-800-Pet-Meds!!


Verizon as well as other home telephone service companies provide (not for free I'm afraid) a service called CALL INTERCEPT. And I can not say how much peace and quiet I have enjoyed since adding this feature to my telephone service.


Call Intercept prevents UNKNOWN, UNAVAILABLE AND PRIVATE incoming calls. BUT MOST IMPORTANT? I have an 800 number to call, put in my password and ADD WHATEVER TELEPHONE NUMBER (such as this one) and it BLOCKS ALL FUTURE CALLS FROM THAT NUMBER.

I GET AT LEAST 1 CALL A DAY FROM THIS NUMBER.

Have had several calls from this 716.526.0080 number. This time there was so much chatter on line it took two minutes to figure out he was saying Sprint Wireless. Of course it was a Middel East accent. Obviously a phishing scam as I am on the do not call list. Sprint response below is totally inadequate in my opinion. They "should" have an investigative service to shut down the scam artists. Why would I want a special deal from Sprint Wireless when I could understand only a few words in a sentence? Idiot.

7 calls in as many days. They say they are selling Sprint Phone Service with a free phone, etc. When I tell them no, they get insistent, even combative. Requests not to be called again are totally un-aknowledged.

call came in; said Not Provided with this number. Nobody responded, I hung up and did a search. Just from the looks of this sit and the people's input, it seems as though it could be a couple of things. 1. It is just a technical glitch with whatever company (sprint, verizon, etc.) or 2. someone is attempting to solicit/elicit information and they keep changing their area provider. The only thing that has me confused is that when i call it back, the automatic operator comes on and says, "We're sorry, but you have reached a number that is no longer connected. Please check the number and dial again ..."

I have received numerous calls "from" this number. Some outfit in India, apparently, is attempting to get peoples' SSANs and home addresses by promising a free Sprint cell phone.

Since this number has been disconnected for some time now, I became curious about how someone could spoof a number on the receiving party's caller ID.

repeated calls from this number - 10 or so per week for two weeks. If I answer, no one responds, otherwise, lots of hangups.

Got a call from this number, no message. Tried to call back and it says it is not a working number.

Male called said I could get a free Sprint phone. I said I was not interested yet they continue to call. When I call this number a recording says it is not a working number.

Phoned twice this afternoon and caller ID says Lakewood, NY. I'm on the do not call list adn have filed a complaint as I have never done business with Verizon.

10:15 am I pick up the phone, I say hello. then "Hi, My name is Mike, I'm from Sprint, your number has been randomly selected to receive a free cell phone." I asked him to do something for me and he said no. I said please remove me from you list, he hung up. I have had calls from 941-426-3630 and 716-526-0080 every day. It rings 4 times then hang up.

Sprint?! Right...they called me from a phone with such poor reception you could barely make out the broken English. Where are they actually calling from??

This number has called several times and each time, they either hang up or no one is there. I wish there was a law that made their name show up on your phone.

Call Verizon and ask for their "Call Intercept" Service. Yes, I had to pay for it, but ALL "UNKNOWN"; NOT PROVIDED" , etc. telephone numbers ARE blocked and your telephone NEVER EVEN RINGS!

What a relief. After having this "installed", those countless calls from India coming in through an Internet-over-IP server stopped completely.

This and other numbers ARE coming in through an INTERNET SERVER - however, VErizon (or other telephone company) CAN also TRACE and worki with federal law enforcement to stop at least some of these jerks who constantly call.

Call your telephone service company and ask for "Call Intercept" to be added to your home telephone service. It takes a few days, but it absolutely works!

This number was on my Caller ID (ID: "Not Provided") 2:18pm, 7/22/07. I Googled it and see that others are receiving calls from the same number.

Called to sell me Sprint Wireless and probably to collect identity theft data. I ordered the phone. Fake name, fake address, fake birthdate, fake Social Security number, fake drivers license number. It's their turn to experience life at SprintSpeed.

They have called on my machine every hour on the hour.

I got the number using *69 but it says it can't be completed.

Very irritating to come home to that many calls with no message.

Caller stated that my number had been selected to receive a free celluar phone.

Called while I was out, so I don't know yet what company was represented. Call back confirms number is forged. I have complaint against Sprint (HQ in Overland, KS) to Kansas Attorney General for 6/5/07 call from 716-526-0080.

Everybody call Verizon and report the number as apam.

these people are scammers!! They try to get your personal info for identity theft! They spoof the caller Id system so that any phone number they want shows up on your caller ID. That way you can't trace them back. I had someone awhile back calling claiming to be Sprint and I reported it to the attorney general and it was a scam!

716 526-0800 has been calling everyday for the past 3 days. It comes up on my caller ID, as "not provided". I have not answered the phone, but they let it ring like 3 times, then they hang up. So annoying, especially since they always seem to call during my son's nap time. I live in DE.

I'm a Delaware resident so those in Vegas know that you aren't the only ones being harassed. Anyway, the call came through on 7/11/07 at 5:38pm. I simply picked up the phone and hung it up without saying a word.(which is what I normally do) If I dont recognize the number I usually don't answer and then come this site and find out who it is. When that number comes up again I definitely know not to answer. The weird thing is that quite a few strange phone numbers come through here and I have no idea who they are and it gets on my nerves. Our number is on the Do Not Call list but it just goes to show how disrespectful people are. Shame. I seriously wonder what we could do.

Claims to be selling cell phone service, wanted SSN, Phone numbers of other family members.

My guess is this number is from one of those automatic calling systems, used for research purposes or as a preliminary to a follow-up call from "real" person. If you're on a Do Not Call list, go to your state's 800 number or DNC website and report it.

Identified himself as Jason (heavy accent) and said that he was calling for Sprint wireless. He said that Sprint wanted to send me a free phone if I would just agree to pay the monthly bill of $39.95, at which point I stated that I already had cellular service and that I wasn't interested in his off, to place me on his do-not-call list and then hung up. If I receive another call from them, I will report it to the FCC.

when i answered the phone, the middle-eastern-sounding fellow who spoke kept saying "hello" like he couldn't hear me, finally he hung up.

"Mike" called again today from this number. Says he's from Sprint and has a free phone for me. I thought I was rid of this abusive, annoying caller after I went a few days without a phone call from him. I guess not.

These people also use the number 941-426-3630 in Florida Want to give a new phone...Phishing scam..... DO NOT GIVE ANY INFORMATION!!! The numbers that they use were stolen and the poor people who actually have those numbers are getting hammered with calls it is not their fault

Getting two calls a day, but no one answers

This number has called me everyday for the past week but no one ever says anything. I've tried calling back 3 times, but everytime I do I get a horrible ringing in my ear. I'm sick of this!

I've received calls from this number almost every day for over a week. The calls are consistently between 8:45 and 9:30 AM EST. The first couple of times the caller, with an indian accent, offered me a free Sprint cell phone. I simply said, "Not interested" and hung up. One time he yelled at me, but I could not understand what he was saying. Since that particular call, all the phone calls have been hang-ups.

I believe it is a collection agency trying to determine if you are home.

It's possible that the reason the call hangs up when you answer, is that these people hired by the scammers are actually scamming the scammers! Meaning - all they have to do is show that the phone was picked up, in order to receive some compen$ation for their efforts - sort of like "click-thru" revenue from Google's ad-sense, or other web/net based ideas.

no call from since this:Received another call from them but it had been so long,I forgot to buy a whistle(see previous post).I kept the caller on the line for 21 minutes and actually got the original caller so vexed he gave me to his "supervisor" to explain to me what roaming is,(BTW they asked me if I had a cellphone and I told them no).After asking about the phone color,battery life,cost,model,and can I get it in white,etc the "supervisor" started to ignore my questions and asked for my name.I stated James Lendingtree,she asked for an address,I told her to send it to my post office box.She replied they cannot send to a post office box,have to have an address here in Tennessee.I told her I lived in the back of my truck and was currently in Nevada and was a truck driver and did not have a fixed address.She then asked about friends or family they could send it to and I told her I had neither,that is why I am a trucker.She asked if there was anywhere she could send it and again I said to send it to my post office box.She then told me if I was interested in the phone to stop by a sprint store during my travels and purchase one."Thank you and have a nice day" she replied as she hung up.....There was other things I did to her while we chatted but it is too many to mention.So don't give up people,have alittle fun with 'em!Oh and before I forget,remember they asked if I had a cellphone and I told them no? Not once did either ask how it was I was talking to them on a phone yet I had no fixed address or cellphone...Go figure :)

Besides the usual online report to donotcall.gov I have faxed complaint against Sprint to FCC, Virginia Attorney General, and Kansas Attorney General.

Got a call mid afternoon on 6/6/07; no response for several seconds, then an unitelligible male voice with an Indian accent offered something, whereupon I hung up. Traced to Buffalo via "WhitePages.com", but am unwilling to pay any money to find out who it is. I doubt if invoking DNC would be understood by caller.

After reading these entries, I had to add our frustration...we are also on the do not call list and this number calls us almost daily. Hang ups when it is answered and when voicemail pics up, it is an undistinguishable slur. THis past mother's day (Yes, SUNDAY) they called during dinner and claimed to have a free sprint cell phone to my six year old who answered. My husband quickly grabbed the phone and said, "it's Sunday AND MOther's Day..." The man proceeded to say he could care less. NICE. OH- and I'm not sure where all of you are, but we aren't in Las Vegas...we are in Southeast MIchigan. These calls and callers are painful and something so needs to be done.

Seems to be the only city mentioned and it also sounds like we are all on the DNC list. Sounds like some Indian con artist got a hold of the DNC call list and managed to route the calls through NY and have nothing else better to do with their pathetic lives but use the few American cuss words they learned along with
5 overused sentences to tick off a bunch of people where we end up wasting more of our time reporting and researching it. Kudos to whoever stated this site! I would love to see this mystery solved on 20/20 or some other other show!

do not call list is only for solicitation that you don't already have an account with; ie. sprint local or long distance, cell, users, already have account so embarq can call any time they want, its in any deal to get service

c'mon, what's up with this telemarketing crap anyway- this # should be tracked down and parties held responsible -how about a huge fine that in turn could be used to pay for the right to privacy-and to think that the state of mn. sold our phone info to these companies to begin with..hmm.

Recieved call 8:30pm. Foreign accent on other end saying stupid thing like one thing was: this is Jack. Jack who? Jack motha fu****. Finally I just hung up.

It is Sprint Wireless that was identified when they called me. Told them I was on the do not call list and he said "oh", started to say something more but I just went agead and hung up. He does wait a bit before he answers. They have called daily now for the last couple of weeks but I have not answered before now.

Call came in on 5/14 @ 9:45am offering me a new Sprint phone. Said my home phone had been picked for this offer. I told him I was on the DNC list and he argued with me. He was very, very rude. I would like to know who this company is.

I have the phone intercetp programe from IOBI, offered by Verizon. Anybody know if there is a # code that I could put in to redirect them to a 900 number? So they get the charge?

My caller id said not provided but I picked up anyway. I was told that I had won a free phone from Sprint. When I told the telemarketer that I was on the no call list, he replied, "No, you're not." I said that I was and he actally told me, "You're lying." Needless to say, I hung up on him.

Try a "TeleZapper" for curing computer-generated calls on land line phones. I had one on my old land line phone; it worked wonders--when computer dials, Telezapper send outs tones that tell the dialing computerthat it has dialed a non-existing number or similar, computer then does not automatically dial that number again.

May 3, 2007 8:32 PM caller ID read Buffalo NY 716-526-0080. As I often do with telemarketers, I lifted the phone and left it off hook without saying anything to caller. Time is money for telemarketers; putting the phone on hold of just leaving it off hook when they call may not stop them from calling but it is an irritant to them.

These callers are relentless.
They call seversl times per day. I don't want their damn free phone!

I was informed that my "Free Wireless Cellphone" wass en route to my residence that I had supposedly applied for within the past weeks or so as stated by Sprint's Telemarketing employee going by the name "Mike" or "Michael." Which obviously isn't his real name given that he has a Far Eastern accent. Nevertheless, I am going to file a complaint with the BBB of Las Vegas, NV with a copy of the recorded message (oh yes, my phone is constantly being monitored from my computer).

My Caller ID shows this number and "Not Provided" for the name.

Caller identifies herself as representing SPRINT Wireless. Hangs up when I mention that this is a do-not-call number. Have received 2 calls in the last week and many more over the last year.

They keep calling - always at 8:30 a.m. Always from Sprint. This morning I said (politely), "We are on your 'do not call' list. We've asked multiple times to be taken off your list." The lady simply hung up while I was in mid-sentence.

Saw this number on caller ID. I am guessing from reading previous comments here that it IS sprint and they are calling to find out why I cancelled my long distance service last Friday.

I've been called at least twice from the 716-526-0080 number. Both times caller said he was calling from Sprint and I had been selected to receive a free cell phone. Strong Indian accent. First time I said no thanks and hung up. Second time I asked if he worked directly for Sprint. He said no, he represented Sprint. I said I didn't want any calls from him and wondered why he called since my # is on national do-not-call list. He said he would put my # on their do-not-call list. I asked him repeatedly to identify the name/address of the company he worked for. He refused. I said I needed that information to report him to the FCC. He hung up. Attempts to call back the 716-526-0080 number end in a recording saying "We're sorry, your call cannot be completed as dialed. Please chack the number and dial again or contact your operator for assistance." The phone rings a variable number of times before this recording and it sounds to me like an answering machine is answering with this message (not a real phone company recording). The have set up an answering system to answer incoming calls with a fake telco recording :)

I just got a call today 4/25 at 9:11am . The guy said I was selected to receive a free Sprint phone. I asked how he got my number since I am on the National Do Not Call list. he just apologized for the companies mistake, and reasked if I was interested in the free phone offer. I said no. I have since email the company (Sprint) and I am waiting for a reply.

Just got a silence and hang-up call from this number, Googled it, and hit this page.

so how do these people get though the do not call list?

I followed up on this by reporting to Sprint, and got an email back confirming that this really IS their telemarketing campaign. (This explains why the caller was so careful to explain all the hefty fees I would be paying for my "free" phone!) This has to be the worst telemarketing campaign of all time. Not only is it illegal (for calling people on the DNC list), the caller sounds like a con artist. Unbelievable.

I had the same experience today that others have reported, with the foreign guy calling and offering a free Sprint cell phone. Interestingly, he needed my birthdate, SSN, and driver's license number before he could send it! I gave him a phony name and other details, and the guy seemed very happy to get this info. They are clearly NOT Sprint and are using caller ID spoofing to make it look like they are in N.Y. when they are actually overseas. If anyone has foolishly given these people their real personal data, then they need to start checking their credit reports to see what accounts are being opened in their name. Report any identity theft to the FTC and to your local police, not that it will do any good.

I too got the call from the 716-526-0080 a few too many times but now I got Hollis Hursts phone number in FLA 941-426-3630. When I did a reverse phone look up that's how I got the information. Doesn't this person even know that people are annoyed? Just a warning if anyone gets a FLA call, don't pick up the phone.

No awswer after I said hello so I got angry and said what do you want! and the caller attacked my manners. Told him I didn't care what he thought and I wanted to know what he was selling. He wouldn't answer and I hung up.

Same pattern as the others -first two calls were live persons with heavy accents trying to sell something. I could not understand what they were saying, told them I was on don not call and hung up. Numerous calls with hangups since then. More recently messages left on my answering machine in Arabic tracing to the same phone number.

I am going to turn this in to the authorities. Should be a way to stop them.

Hello this is Sprint - click - then they hang up. They have called several times in the last month. I'm on the national and state do-not-call lists.

We received three calls from this number. The caller used excessively foul language (swearing)on two of the calls and used a threatening tone of voice at times. He called back two times in person (within two hours)and once while we are on the phone after we asked him to not call. We are on a national and state DNC list. He gave us bogus numbers to call back, but did identify himself with Sprint and then later with Verizon. The number traced to Lakewood, NY.

Every morning between 7 and 8 I get this call. I never answer it but have tried to recall to find out who is calling. No avail....

Have received over 40 phone calls in the last 2 months from these people who say calling on behalf of Sprint to offer free cell phone. I have spoken to over 5 reps and 2 supervisors pleading with them to take my number off their calling list. Each time they say they would but calls start again 2 days later. This is harassment! Something has to be done! I have made complains to the FTC on donotcall.gov and I just don't know what else I can do!! They say that their company is call Digital Millenium Service out of Jericho City NY but the number comes up as a South Carolina number...(864) 223-1911. What can we do to put these people out of business?!?!? This is crazy!!!

Received another call from them but it had been so long,I forgot to buy a whistle(see previous post).I kept the caller on the line for 21 minutes and actually got the original caller so vexed he gave me to his "supervisor" to explain to me what roaming is,(BTW they asked me if I had a cellphone and I told them no).After asking about the phone color,battery life,cost,model,and can I get it in white,etc the "supervisor" started to ignore my questions and asked for my name.I stated James Lendingtree,she asked for an address,I told her to send it to my post office box.She replied they cannot send to a post office box,have to have an address here in Tennessee.I told her I lived in the back of my truck and was currently in Nevada and was a truck driver and did not have a fixed address.She then asked about friends or family they could send it to and I told her I had neither,that is why I am a trucker.She asked if there was anywhere she could send it and again I said to send it to my post office box.She then told me if I was interested in the phone to stop by a sprint store during my travels and purchase one."Thank you and have a nice day" she replied as she hung up.....There was other things I did to her while we chatted but it is too many to mention.So don't give up people,have alittle fun with 'em!Oh and before I forget,remember they asked if I had a cellphone and I told them no? Not once did either ask how it was I was talking to them on a phone yet I had no fixed address or cellphone...Go figure :)

Has called three time so far. Twice when answered the caller hangs up after our "hello." Once a heavily-accented male voice asked to speak with me by name. I said, "No one by that name lives here." This threw him for a loop. Then he tried to confirm if my phone number was my phone number, and I said, "No that's not this number." This also threw him for a loop, but then he hung up. Clearly a scam.

Have received eight calls from this number. Know its Sprint. Last time they called I told them we were on the DNC list and what she was doing was illegal. I have registered a complaint with the DNC website each time they have called. She said our name would be taken off of their list and would not call again. Told her she was illegal. She had a foreign accent Maybe Indian.

anyways.....if we are all on the DNC lists, why do we get these unwanted calls to begin with? Sounds like the lists aren't working like they are supposed to be.

I received this call but didn't answer it. It was a number I didn't recognize so I searched the internet and ended up here. I am also on the DNC lists. I also receive alot of unsolicited 800 calls, which I do not answer.

Gotten multiple calls from this number, some early on Sunday morning. Called Sprint to complain as the only time I'Ve answered it they claimed to represent Sprint. Sprint reps blew me off.

This guy called, had a heavy middle eastern accent. He said he was calling from Sprint. I told him I was on the DNC list and he started getting foul, yelling obsenities at me. cussing at me, calling me volgar names and comments. There is no way this individual was from this country.....he didn't have a brain cell in that head....I am going to have th phone company research this more to see if I can prosecute....

A woman with accent called telling me I was going to get a Sprint cell phone. I politely told her that I was on the donotcall list. She repeatedly told me to "shut up," and that I did not understand the do not call list.

Had a call from this number yesterday. I do not answer if I don't know who it is. This call was 10:38 Sunday morning!! I am on so not call list.

Have received many calls from this number at evening hrs. Between 7PM and 9PM. There is no one there when answered.

I picked it up and hear "Hi I'm calling from Sprint and you have been selected for a free phone". I told her I'm on a do not call list and I'll report them (I did right away), and she in a VERY rude way told me: "If you are in the do not call list why are you receiving this call" and I told her: I don't know, because you are calling me and I have the right to answer my phone and she was arguing and I slammed the phone down.

GOt call on 2/8/07 at 5:46PM. Was not home but ID showed Lakewood, NY, left no message. I am on all DNC lists too, but these callers do not care.

In 12/06, I inintiated a complaint with FCC about calls from this number. The calls from this number have STOPPED ! :)

Got a call @ 3:58 PM and answered, with "hello." Silence. Then I hear noise in the background, but I remain silent after my first "hello." Used the hold button on my phone and hung it back up.

Got this call again. I told him I am a cop. He said "Oh yeah, if you're a cop, try to trace this number then" Im not really a cop, just want him to stop calling. No real Sprint rep would talk like that on the phone. Next time I'll string him along for about an hour and then ask him if he likes romantic walks on the beach. 2 can play this game.

Received a call 1-31-07 & 1-30-07 plus many more days. Comes up on ID as "Hurst Hollis." This is so annoying-how do I get it to stop?!!!!

Rcd 6 calls this morning. Same thing--they are "sprint wireless" and "sam" calling with a heavily accented voice. We told him not to call and that we are on the do not call list. He responded with a few hearty f-yous that were comical because of the accent. When I laughed at him--he got angrier. Then got a call from 941-426-3630 "Sams" supervisor that cussed at me for being rude to Sam. Called sprint--they dont know anything about these maroons. This number has been calling off and on for the last two months. I have never heard a live voice whether I answer or let it go to voice-mail. When I tried to call it using a calling card, all I get is a recording that my call can not be completed as dialed.

Asked for me by name. I asked who was calling. Caller with Indian accent replied it was Sprint Calling. I replied that I would like to be removed from their call list. Caller said they would not remove my name but would continue to call every day at this time and annoy me. They do call every day.

I have been receiving calls from this number also. I have caller ID I wrote the number down and called it back. Operator said call could not be completed as dialed. My next door neighbor is getting these calls also. I went to donotcall.gov and registered a complaint. Maybe if enough of us file a complaint they will track down and stop these people.

Get calls from this number 3 or 4 times a day. finally got sick of it. Looked it up, and found this website. I'm on the Do not call list. So I reported them. Not only for today, but going back in my Caller I.D log, i filed for every call they made to me in the past few weeks.

I think this is a company that records what time you pick up the phone, and what time you don't, and they sell that info to other telemarketers.

Get calls pretty much every day from this number, but most times there isn't anyone on the other line. After reading the posts below, I will just answer the phone and ask, what company they are with, what their name is, what their manager's name is, and what a call-back number is. Then, I will go to the Colorado state DNC list website and report them. I encourage everyone else to do the same if their state has a DNC violators reporting site. Let's bust these clowns!!

They called at 730pm on 10/30/06. I answered and it was dead air. Then I heard a click and they hung up. It is so annoying.

Received "Out-of-Area" call from this number to Northern Colorado. Two seconds of silence then disconnected at other end.
