Who Called Us

Got a call from this number just after lunch.
The caller asked to speak to the IT Manager.
Since I currently have my resume online, as well as responding to various job postings, I suspect that this call is from a recruiting firm trying to get an inside track with my company's hiring process to fill my position once I leave.
These people are complete scum. But the joke is on them -- I'm leaving because the sorry-ass company I currently work for is outsourcing / offshoring my job to India and The Philippines.

They have called repeatedly, never leave a message. Tonight I answered and spoke to a male who claimed he was calling from Nielsen Movies in CA. He wanted to ask me questions. I know Nielsen, they laid off 1000s of Americans and sent their jobs overseas to India and this person sounded like he was from India. I told them to take my number off their list and stop calling me.

Called at 8:40pm. No message.

Some woman speaking spanish called from this number. The only english word I understood was "ascention" which I think is a collection agency. Anywho, after yelling into the phone to stop calling here. She finally stopped speaking spanish and said she spoke english too. I repeated myself, telling her to stop calling here and asked her if she understood what that meant. She then hung up on me.

Some guy called from Orange County, CA tonight number was 714-551-5502. Said he was conducting a survey and asked if there were any males in the house. Reverse look-up says the number is unpublished.

They asked for the youngest male in the household who is over 18 years of age...a 'public survey.' Naturally we did not answer their questions.

how do you get this to stop?

The company is called Datascension, Inc. I too keep getting calls from these people and i am NOT sending them an email. I googled this company and this is what I found...their toll free #. I called and left them a message to stop calling me maybe, if they get as many calls back that they're making, they'll get the hint! So here it is everyone 1-888-996-9238

I answered the phone and it had (714) 551-5501. The person said he was doing a survey and asked if I had been to the movies in the last month. Then he asked if the rest of the family was. Finally he asked for my name which I told him I don't give it out. He didn't ask for anybody in particular.

In the same day, got a call/ no msg from this #, Caller ID 7145515501AA.....and also from 7145515502AA

No one on the line when I answered...no message was left. We are on a do not call list...why are receiving calls?

Called twice in the last hour. Right in the middle of HW and dinner time. I don't answer calls from strange numbers. No message left on voicemail.

Called at 902PM. Caller ID showed the letters AA in the name field 7145515501AA. Didn't leave message. Reporting number to the FTC. They have no business calling after 9pm local time, regardless of what part of the world the call originated from.

Caller ID said "Orange CA" Call at odd hours. At bedtime, early in the morning...Sundays. Never have answered and hey do not leave a VM.

Just received calls from 7145515501aa---did not answer, glad I checked this

I answer and say hello but no one answers back. He/She called back 30-60 seconds later and I did not pick up. Then they called AGAIN same time after! I did not answer again.

Numerous calls this week; all at less than desirable times. We don't answer; as soon as the call hits our vm, the caller hangs up.

got called at 650pm, was a survey about fast food, didn't seem to have an agenda for any one in particular.

They called just before 9pm...I talked to a lady...she said she was from some technology research company and had some questions...I told her it was late and I started telling her it was bullshit to be calling this late...I asked to talk to her supervisor, after a short pause he came on the line...I told him that it was bullshit to be calling at this hour, he said that it was legal up until 9pm...I cussed him out and told him I had to get up early...he said that he would remove my number from their calling list...when I look at the call ID it shows 7145515501AA, don't know what that means...

This number is on my caller ID every single day 7 days a week. it never stops!!

Three calls - odd hours - called the number back and the answering service automated message said "Thank you for calling Data Collection Services, in charge of collecting data for nation and international....hung up and looked on line to find this, thought also pust this in so it can be reported.

Not recognizing the number I did not answer. It is the first time they've called. Earlier I set up a Net10 prepaid cellphone on-line which asked for my home phone number, and now this call. Related or a coincidence?
