Who Called Us

I don't have any debt, not sure who they are calling for, as they didn't leave a message.

got a call from local office 714-495-4808 answer the call nobody answer on the other line whish people stop calling crank calls

We get calls from this number everyday. No one is on the line when we answer. Very annoying because I am a day sleeper.

Hang up calls all the time. Spoke to someone and stated the person they are calling for does not use this number, they said they would update their records. BUT they keep calling over and over. When you call back you get an after office machine that you cant leave a message on.

called them back and reached a person, co. is collection bureau. they asked which number I had received call at. Gave it to them and they gave me name of person they were trying to reach. Person does not live/work at this address. They updated their records.

They call several times a day on my cell phone and do not leave a message. When I do answer the phone call there is no one on the other line.

they say they sent me a card without my permision I never got no card from them and there was a law passed in the 90s that they can not send you cards without you asking they said they sent it in 2007 my credit was bad then so why would they just send card.

It's illegal for a collection agency to call a cell #. $1500 fine per violation. Especially "AUTOMATED". T.C.P.A.

Call several times a day...I answer and they say nothing. I have used my telephone's option and blocked the number.

There is no such thing as a ''misdial'' in collections, only skip tracing. That will be the agency's story, anyway. You're being called because FNCB thinks you are a debtor or can help point to one. The lack of a message only means the agency wants to avoid getting sued over an easily committed privacy violation.

Katie, Wanda, Jackie, et al: Ignoring and wishing will not end the collection calls. To a ''not me'' case I always recommend putting the agency on notice, just as you would if you were the target and the debt claim was invalid. Send a ''cease-communication'' notice via USPS Certified with return card. The FTC and many consumer watchdogs explain how to draft one.

This "Local Office" calls several times daily. I don't answer.

I have been getting call day in and out but they never leave a message. Great know who calling me, but for what bills are they considering that I owe.

This phone number calls me all day long, every day! I have good credit and, owe nothing! I think they are trying to get a hold of my ex-huband for a student loan. But they are too stupid to answer when I say hello. I want to tell them he and I have been divorced for over 20 yrs. They are calling the wrong phone number and, I wish they would leave me the fu--k alone!

called our home number twice with the identity as LOCAL OFFICE. It will not not a message

Automated message comes up saying they have important business to discuss with (name of contact) then says to press "1" if you are (name of contact)to continue the call or if (name of contact) isn't available call an 800 number. When I pressed "1" to continue call I said "hello" and the call immediately hung up. Attempts to redial the number comes up an automated message of "one moment please" then some office background noise then immediate hang up.

Recorded message from them telling me to stay on the line .... a very serious problem with my accounts... I waited on hold for a long time... finally a women came on the line and said she was calling from First National Debt... and she was recording the call.... she told me all my accounts were past due... I asked her what accounts are you talking about ... I told her I do not owe anybody anything.... and she hung up on me...

I got a call twice this morning from this number. No messages left. I don't owe anybody anymore so I don't know what this is. I guess I never will unless they want to leave a message.

TG, You don't need a valid debt or a derogatory trade line on your credit reports to be hassled by debt collectors. They call third parties to alleged debtors all the time for permitted skip tracing purposes, or often pretending it's a trace to annoy and shame an intended target whose location is already known.

You may well have a squeaky clean payment history, but if FNCB *thinks* you owe something you will still need to defend yourself. FNCB is bordering on harassment (as the FTC vaguely defines) with the call pattern you describe. The FCC would also likely frown on that high volume of abandoned calls. But you'll need meatier legal violations to spank them with.

16th 8:05 am and 17th 1:59 pm

February 16th and 17th called.

One call placed one hour ago. 2 dialed two hours ago. and the last one hour ago. They call and listen and don't say anything and then hang up.n Yesterday they called once 8:02 pm. 11;53 am today, 11:22 am today and the other two as stated below.

They keep calling and hanging up. I owe no collectors. They have called four time today back to back. They listen and then they hang up.

I agree with the other statements here, when you answer they don't say much. They just listen and then hang up. Not sure what that is all about.
