Waited for a message, non left

Rude sharp men's voice asking for first name only hung up immediately when I asked to take a message after answering "unavailable" call.

Several times picked up the phone, answered and no-one said anything - then after a few seconds they hung up. This was Sunday at 6:45 p.m. On caller I.D. it now says "Private Caller"

All you have to do is call the charity and ask to be put on their do not call list, I believe this just covers that charity not all of them, I am not sure if there is a number you can call for non-profit charitys as a whole, but national do not call list does not include non-profits just to let you know hope this helps.

I dont get why people conplain about people who call on behalf of a charity, if it is legal and it is do you think everyone works for free? I mean how do you think services can be rendered without help, Im not talking about illegal telemakers, liars, I mean professional companies that spend a lot of money on updated phone systems, good people, and provide a service. I understand that not every charity is good but why say all are bad?

my daughter made the mistake of donating to a firefighters group and they will not leave us alone.

Called on Sunday morning, missed the call and left no message on machine. Called again today (Monday)at 7:13pm, picked up the phone after second ring but they did not respond.

Called at 8:19 AM on Mother's Day, for Heaven's sake, mangling my last name and acting like we were old friends. This was another "Benevolent Fund" fundraiser. I asked them to send a brochure and the woman said she would but only if I agreed to give them $15.00 immediately as brochures cost a lot of money and would take away funds for burned children. I said that I thought it was for firefighters and she said, well, yes, if there was money left over, it would go to firemen. I refused to donate any amount, anytime, and she hung up in a rather marked fashion. By the way, the DNC list does NOT apply to charities or politicians, so it doesn't matter if you did or did not regis-ter. They can legally call you as often as they wish. If everyone would refuse to give money over the phone, this would stop.

called my spouse (who was not home) at 8:29pm on Sunday evening they stated they would call again another time with a thank you message

WHY CANNOT THESE PEOPLE BE BLOCKED OR CHARGE WITH CRIMINAL HARRASHMENT??

just like everyone else says no message , no statement,just very annoying 7 calls a day..
another example of the phone company doing nothing but increasing rates for us.

called 9:18 am Saturday morning. Caller ID said Unavailable 707-219-9477 which I've never seen before (usually it says Unavailable with no number). I did not answer.

showed up on caller id but no message.

Got call at 1:26PM on 4.23 and did not pick up. They left no message.

Left no message, hung up when they hit the answering machine

This number calls my phone at least four times every day. They never leave a message

Call at 10:25 am. Blocked Name. I didn't reach the phone on time. No message left.

Number 707-219-9477 called at 8:17 am 4-18-2007. Came up on Caller ID as Unavailable. We are on the Do Not Call National Registry and this number should not be allowed to call through.

F**kers called about 11:57 am. My mom answered and told her something about firefighters fund. They were very rude and persistent!

Call came from Alderpoint, CA. I didn't recognize the # so I didn't pick up. They of course left no message. The call came at 8:50 AM on Tues.

Call back message says they are rund-raiser campaign company for several charities.

These jerks called my house at 8:10am. Rang the phone just enough to wake us up on the one day we get to sleep in, and then hung up on the machine. They have called before and I told them that I give directly to my local fire company fund, that I do not accept telephone solicitations and to take me off their list. I'm on the national do not call list.

Didn't leave message, and I didn't know the number so I never answered it.

Called on 3/13/2007 @ 7:32pm: I didn't answer, they didn't leave a message. I've been called by the "Fireman's Fund" before, but told them I didn't have time to talk.

Received "Blocked Name" from 707-219-9477 at 9:00 am. 1 ring, picked it up and no one was there. Finally reverted to busy signal.

This phone number has called our house at least 15 times in February, 2007. Caller ID shows only "San Francisco, CA" We blocked the number, but calls still are made to our home.

Called my sister in law. She said hello and a man said, "You better think about that," then hung up.

"Private Caller" repaet calls , no message.

showed up as "private name". when i asnswered they asked for me by my first name. i said i wasnt there and asked if they wanted to leave a message. the man cut me off with a quick "no message" and hung up.

Caller ID picked up a number, (707) 219-9477. We did not answer the phone and they left no message. I called it back and the recording on the other end said something about needing a pin number.

Picked up but they hung up before my "hello". We had similar repeated calls from a policeman's fund recently. They were overly persistent and rude. I warned them that they would be reported if they called even one more time. I will do the same with these folks as I see this will be the same experience!

rec'd call on 12/30 at 11:32 am. caller asked for me, since it said UNAVAILABLE and I didn't recognize the number, I said that I wasn't home and could I ask who was calling. Guy hung up immediately. VERY RUDE!

I picked up, and they said they were fundraising for some burned firefighters relief fund. I said the village says it doesn't authorize such drives and to take my name off his list. He said something about don't I care about burned firefighters, and I said "I said what I said, and goodbye."

said they represented "disabled firefighters, burned children and burned firefighters fund". The disabled firefighters foundation" has not responded to queries from give.org
