Who Called Us

Don't know who this is but I am tired of the constant calls, no messages left, and nobody there when I have answered. I have now put them on my "reject list", a handy little tool that came with my phone. So now when they call, my phone doesn't ring.

relentless calls... every hour Have no idea who they are. no messages left. Probably some bottem feader leaches out for a $20.00 debt. dont care dont plan to answer.

PC, some collection reps are wage earners and many work on commission. The more filthy cash they bring in, the fatter their paycheck. Much like in a sales office, competition and urgency among reps is fostered. This should explain a lot of the lawbreaking behavior.

Yeah they have been calling my cell number lately the let it ring maybe 2 times then hang up, even if I was going to answer they do not even give you time to do that. No messages or anything. I feel if it was important they would at least leave a message. Do they get paid by the calls they make per day or what? Idiots.......

David, IC and no other collector will stop the calls until you put your demand in a written cease-comm and send it USPS CMRR.

Jade: I have yet to hear of a collector hacking for dollars. Most just aren't that smart. Collectors want a voluntary payment if they can get one, or a default judgment if need be. I should think a hack job would put them in unlawful garnishment territory, attracting a fierce lawsuit.

One last time ... If you are receiving misdirected or abusive calls from a third party debt collector, you may find relief in the provisions of the FDCPA, which regulates bad collector behavior. Learn your rights at FTC-dot-gov.

I called the number back and they said they were IC Systems, wouldn't give any more information. I told them to stop calling , but they haven't

I get calls from this number all hours of the day, before it was from the 202 number mentioned below. I never answer and they don't leave a message, I don't owe anyone money so here is what I advise for the rest of you. Don't ever answer these calls!!!! I had a friend answer an out of state number on her cell phone and they ended up hacking into her cell and charging $900 worth of international frodulant charges. DON'T ANSWER!!! Report them to your cell phone provider as harrassment calls and see what they recommend.

Jackie: IC Systems is indeed headquartered in Saint Paul. You have not clarified whether you have a current debt, an old charged-off debt, or if it's someone else IC is seeking. Your best response to them differs accordingly.

Actually, it might be depending on your story. You have rights under the FDCPA to protect you from abusive collector tactics. (Your homework tonight is to find out what that law is.) A brief scan of complaint forums reveals that the inquisition you describe has been part of the IC playbook for at least three years. They are fond of grilling their marks for data that's none of their bloody business unless they've won a judgment in court and you're compelled to list your assets.

Keep careful records of all communication with these bullies and make NO verbal agreements -- get names, document their statements, record audio if you can. They must dun you in writing, and you must reply the same way to make your demands stick. This is not the forum to explain the whole protocol, so do your research and make an informed response.

I think they are based out of MN and i keep having the same woman call, she doesn't care that wakes me up, and yells at me about how important it is that i send her a check right that very moment. and when i tell her i have no money she starts badgering me with all kinds of personal questions like "where do you work?" "what bills do you have to pay, how do you pay those?" i tell her im unemployed and 21 years old living with my mother so i have no bills and acts like she can't fathom the idea of that answer so irritated asks "well what about your car payment?" and "well you're on a cell phone so who pays for that?!" very very unprofessional indeed... i personally think what they do should be illegal anyway... i don't see how they can basically force a load on you and then demand you pay them with interest... if whoever you actually owe wants their money they should have to go after you, not get paid less than by an outside company on your behalf without your permission...

They call Saturdays, Sundays, during the workdays and harass you from different numbers like 7036569842; 6034141911 and 2023679813. When I did make the mistake of talking to him he was unprofessional and asked a bunch of unprofessional questions, including did I have anything to sell like my wedding ring, all for a measley 150 bucks thats due. Messed up thing is, I sent them a check last week for $25 and since then I have received MORE calls. ASSHOLES

Don't know what they are calling for or who they are calling for there are 2 other people at this location. I do know that none of us have ever set foot in Virginia.

Keep getting this call at work. All I have is the 703-656-942 number that shows up. When I answer, there is a pause and then a hang up. No voice or message. Lately is has been calling daily , even on the weekends when no one is in the office and no message is left on voice mail.

Now they're being sickening. It's SUNDAY. They're calling people on a SUNDAY.
Time to stick 'em with some FDCPA paperwork and get them to sod off.

Lisa, thanks for the information...yes, they do have a lot of numbers. I have received calls from 703-656-9842,800-503-3852,800-640-9072,888-220-8589,856-668-4530,610-230-0409,866-860-2708. So, yes, they try to call you from different numbers so if you don't recognize it, you might answer. Don't fall for it. My feeling is, if you don't recognize the #, don't anwer it!!!

I got a call from this number too. Shows up on our caller ID as "IC System". What annoys me the most is that this is the 4th number this stupid company has used in order to try to contact us. They never leave a message either. When our answering machine picked up we got a 'disconnected line' beeping on the answering machine. What is it with these people? Can't they take a hint? We've blocked all 4 of the numbers they've used so far...how many phone numbers do these jerks have anyway?!? In answer to Bob's comment... we've gotten a call from the 202-367-9813 phone number too, as well as 603-414-1911 so be on the look out for that number. These bastards apparently have a LOT of phone numbers!

If I don't answer, no message is left and caller hangs up. Recorded female voice stated "Hold the line please, you have an incoming call." Then the line was disconnected. Caller ID showed "IC System" which has appeared using another number 202-367-9813, which has called more frequently over the past two weeks.
