I think this has something to do with the publishers clearing house online sweepstakes. They make us go through certain things in order to enter. I entered and had to do a life insurance quote online and now aI am getting hundreds of phone calls.

I followed another search string which said that this number was associated with FIA Card Services. I called FIA, they transferred me to Quantum. Quantum said it was Privacy Assist, and gave me two numbers:800-516-9561 and 806-369-2506. Privacy Assist said it was Bank of America, 800-432-1000. I do have an account at BoA. I called - BoA reported that yest it does sub to Privacy Assist, but it has a list of its subcontractors, and this telephone number is not on that list. Further, BoA does not have my two cell numbers in its records - but the cell numbers keep getting the calls - at my expense. BoA said it would take up to 12 weeks for the changes to my account (putting me on a do-not-call list for the telephone number that IS on my records) to filter down throughout the company.
this number called today at 1012 am. I pressed one to talk to operator and someone named Eric answered. I inquired about the call and why they were calling me and Eric immediately hung up. ?? how weird
How is this legal? Aren't my time and cell minutes valued resources that I own? This has nothing to do with 1st Ammendment's free speech, they can climb a tree and scream any opinion they have. But to consume my time and paid minutes is merely vandalism.
I received a call from this number on a Tuesday 11:30am- it's listed as unpublished land line out of Las Vegas, Nevada. Left no messages.
Call came in at 8:20 Saturday morning.
Yes, this number is associated with FIA Card Services. The Service Agent told me that this particular number is dedicated to "Privacy Assist Premier", which is a program that FIA Card Services is trying to sell its consumers. The agent also told me that all FIA Cardholders are receiving this same call.

This is FIA Card Services (formerly MBNA) offering identity theft protection. Told the person, I was not interested. According to an internet search, this is a cell phone located in Las Vegas, Nevada. Then, I contacted FIA directly and they said that that they do have a 3rd party contacting consumers for this service. Told them to place me on their do not call list.
I did not answer it and they did not leave a message.
