Who Called Us

FYI the 702 area code is Vegas. for some reason there are more boiler rooms the LV than any other state, so that alone is a red flag. Also I knew my credit card company is in North Dakota another red flag. Best thing to do is not reply to these crooks and put your # on the National Do Not Call Registry. The only person I knew living in Vegas was Elvis and I have a feeling it was not him calling. Be careful of these phishing scams

i answered it and got a dial tone, then i called back and it sounded like a neanderthal grumbling and then it said th mailbox was full

I answered on my cellphone, which doesn't have caller ID, but did show after the fact that the call originated in Las Vegas. It was a recorded female voice saying that my credit line was fine, but asking me to call "urgently" to "lower" my interest rate. Ha ha ha. My workaround was to label this inbound number as "spam caller" ... wish I knew how to block it on my phone. Thank you to other posters for providing details.

I got a call from this number and called back only to get the voicemail and I chopped up voice name, as well as the full mail box. I am also very surprised to know 50 other people around the country got the same call, what is the person trying to achieve by calling and hanging up, I don't this person/number, what can they do if you don't answer?

I got the call yesterday and answered and said "Hello" like 4 times and nobody was there so I called back and got the same thing everyone else here got--the mailbox was full and the person's name was some random mishmash. I check this site for ANY number I don't recognize, and I was very surprised to see that so many others got this call too. Luckily if I'd talked to anyone, I'm way too smart to give out personal information to ANYONE over the phone or in email.

He calls and hangs up not leaving a message. When I call the number back it goes straight to voice mail, and the mailbox is full. When he says his name you can not understand what the name is. On my phone it says it is from Las Vegas area. Thanks for all the info you guys, hope they catch this guy.

I received a call from this number saying he was calling from Experian credit agency and offering to reduce my credit card interest rate.... Cross questioned why he was calling from a cell phone and not a land line .. just hanged

called me twice. I ignored it thinking it was a scamm. The jackass asked for my social security number right off the bat.... dead give away...he's an identity theft opp. that people have call out to get information.

I missed this call the first time, and I called back and there was a voice recording to lower my credit score..So I'm like, ok I'll press 1, and then I'll give them a piece of my mind!! But they never answered -_-. I was curious so I tried calling again tonight and the voicemailbox said that the mailbox was full for "*ffffffff* uhhhh ramblipplishnoggle" (I guess that was supposed to be the guy saying his name, but he must have been drunk or something when he made his voicemail..Anyways, not legit. Some jerk. Ignore himmmm

This ASSHOLE tried callingme today and left me a missed call the first time... The second time I picked up and played along by giving him my credit card number(098 7654 321). Then I identified myself as a cop and the line went dead!!! Go figure...

I received a phone call from this number today July 29 at 10am. I did not pick up because I didn't recognize this number, and then googled the number. Good thing I found this site, thanks for the posts! I tried to call back, and it beeps quickly as if a phone was off the hook. They left no message. Weird. Get a job, people! Stop calling me while I'm hard at work to try to scam me out of my hard-earned cash!

A message was left on my voice mail saying something about lowering my interest but it didn't say what interest I could lower. I did a reverse phone look up and found out that it's a cell phone from Las Vagas.

they called again this time i was like what the hell if your going to wast my time i waste yours so i picked up pushed 1 told the guy i was worried what should i do about my dept .. he ask for my name so in my deepest voice i could make i said Sara ... Sara Lepley... then he ask for my card number slowly i went 123...4567...890 surprisingly hes still on the phone so i tokk it to the next level in my deepest voice again i started to hitting on him... the number 702-493-4612 hasnt called again so far...

Caller impersonates my credit card company by saying there is nothing wrong with my card, then offers to lower my intrest rate. The recording asks you to push #1. I do not have a credit card.

Yup. I pressed 1 and "Laura" hung up on me when I told her I didn't even own a credit card. Called back and voicemail box was full......hmmm.

DO NOT PICK UP YOUR PHONE!!!...These people are SCAM artists...First you hear a recording..then when you press 1 you get a live person who says"Did you press one to get our low rate for credit cards?" Say to these bozos NO I am calling to get my name off your telephone registry..QUICKLY TELL them you have NO BILLS or credit cards and use cash only for purchases..Then the person will ask for your phone number..When you get to the third or fourth number they intentionally disconnect so they can bother you at a later convenience to them..
