407-444-1400 and 586-992-8668 or "Blocked/Unknown Caller"are from Wells Fargo Auto Finance / Wachovia. The representative may disclose his/her name to be Daniel of "Wells Fargo Loss Department" or Mary of "Wells Fargo Auto Finance". By policy, Wells Fargo employees are instructed to utilize covert calling methods when necessary in order to contact loan recipients. This is due to an increase in non-accruing loans under the Wells Fargo portfolio.

Be careful with signing up for free Iphone email, this information is what is being used. I am receiving emails, dozens of calls on my home phone and cell phone since I received the email for a free iphone 7-26-10. I receieved a call from this number on 7/29/2010 and tried to call it back. First got a disconnected message, the second try got a busy signal. I won't answer it again and will block it from my cell phone. Hope they get caught at what ever they are doing. There is No fixing STUPID!!!!!

I received the call. I speak Sapnish, so I was able to understand what they were saying. Its definitely a scam. They said that I won a prize but they wanted me to "confirm" at what bank I had my Mastercard account. I told her I would not give her that info, she tried again, I held firm and she hung up.

How do I stop them from calling?

Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the FTC.
Block them with a call blocker (click pictures below for price and reviews).

Uniden DECT1288 blocks up to 20 numbers, plus Private and Unknown, with the reject tone, without ringing the phone.
Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.
