How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the FTC.
- Block them with a call blocker:
Uniden DECT1288 blocks up to 20 numbers, plus Private and Unknown, with the reject tone, without ringing the phone.
Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

How do you get these people to stop calling? I scream into the receiver and they just call back 2 hours later.
unknown caller called and went to message and then hung up
no response upon answering. Wish they would stop calling us.
I believe this is Alliance Health. they also called from 646-558-5560. spoke with someone and they were trying to sell me health care. i told them i was set-up fine already, hung up on them, but they still call. I used to live in Nassau County NY so when i saw the 516 area code i thought it was someone i may know so i answered the call. i see from other posts they are persistant, but know i know the number so i will ignore the call when the call me...
I tried to tell them I get my meds paid for by Medicare part D and wasn't interested in anything else. Was told they weren't selling anything, just wanted to make sure I was getting the best price----told them I was only paying a total of $10.00 per month for all of my meds. The dame kept rattling on and I finally told her absolutely not and then she urged me to join some online club of theirs and she started to thank me and I hung up. This is the second call I have received today saying that I have filled out an online questionaire, last night. I didn't fill out anything. The only thing I fill out is when I order something from a catalog, WalMart, or Target and after I receive it I get an email asking if I want to comment on the item and even then I don't always comment because sometimes I haven't used the item yet or it is for a future gift. Telemarketers are a pain you know where.
Calls from this number and another number under Alliance Health
After reading the comments I called the number, pressed 2 to be removed. We'll see if it happens.
They also call from 646-558-5560. This company is pushing healthcare related products. They call unsolicited (maybe my disabled husband filled out a survey for Best Buy GC online, not sure) and I have told them to take me off this list 3 times. I will report them to the FTC next because they are interrupting our lives, don't honor requests not to call and have on several occasions called, asked for my husband and then when I said he wasn't available -- they hung up on me. If they don't stop, I'll do what I can to get them fined out the wazoo.
By the way, you can get off the calling list by calling the number and pressing 2 when prompted.
Mike R. and David D. have it down. I never completed the Best Buy survey when I realized the scam but they still got my phone number early in the process.
Similar to Mike R. below:
I believe this call came from my filling out a survey that comes up on Best Buy's website for a "FREE" $1000 gift card. Like most of these adverts, its a "hook"... and it is "FREE", with the provision that you purchase something else. TGTBT? (To Good To Be True) Of course it is!! If you're reading this, you now know better (and so do I.. :-) )
That number belongs to Alliance Health Networks out of Salt Lake City. 801-355-6002. CEO is Stead Burwell. Founder is Geoff Swindle.
I have no idea who these people are they have called my cell phone today at 14:48 and 16:04. I don't know they are so I don't answer the call. Most of the time the ringer on my cell phone is turned off, they don't leave a message
Have received calls in the past and have no idea who these people are or what they want..I don't answer and they don't leave voice messages
Steve
I begin to fill out a Wal-Mart survey online but did not finish when I received my call. I immediately called back and asked to be placed on the DNC list. The rep. said it would be done!!!
I believe this call came from my stupidity in filling out a survey that comes up on Best Buy's website for a "FREE" $1000 gift card. DO NOT DO THIS . . . I received 2 unsolicited calls already as a result of this- and ALliance H was the first of (I'm afraid) many more to come...
Received a called today aroung Noon! No message was left.
I received a call from Alliance H also on 7/19/2010 @ 10:46 am
Who is this?
um i think so but if you cannot my phone number everyday.... i don't have money none thank you
I got a call today from Alliance H which I've tracked to Alliance Health, which started calling me incessantly after I filled out an online survey (DON'T DO IT!). Now my phone number seems to be exposed to the world of telemarketing fiends, which I despise with a white hot passion! Anyway, my home number only exists to service my DSL line, so I don't pay much attention to these calls. I have turned off the ringer on my phone and let a mechanical answering machine handle the dolts. I just wish I had their home numbers and could call them incessantly for no reason whatsoever.
2 calls, from Alliance Health, as verified by a call back. Telemarketing, based on sales lead from internet.
I don't actually answer my home phone, which as a public number has come under the wrath of satellite dish salesmen and mortgage hounds (who no longer call now that it's been exposed that they destroyed our economy). I have heard that this is a company that calls because they get your number from one of those stupid endless questionnaires you fill out when you're getting extra free points from Facebook game applications. If they had any brains they would resort to e-mail. They are wasting their money on telemarketing these days.
