I have been getting these calls since last week. I see that they go back as far as 2006. Please tell me this stops.

is this a scan for you to call reverse number or something like that to see who's calling so they can get money?

I see there are 35 reports on this site alone on this number as I have read other compliants about this number calling them at all hours just to get a extremly irriating BEEP!!! in their ear. I have read on other sites like this one, complaints about this number faxing them, dating as far back as Oct 31 2007. Me being number 36 complaint now I HATE IT!!! and I want to know if there is anything being done about it or do we all just BITCH about it on this site and others like it. I've tried to fax these A Holes back to ask them to take my number off there FN list, but when I try Silcone Susan comes on the line and says "This number is not available in your area" It's Utter B S! if ya ask me that we are helpless to do anything about this and have to put up with the B S I'm assuming till we either change our number or just suck it up! :/

I received 3 call with fax beeps on my message manager this morning...this is not the first time it happened. This has gotten out of control.

If you are receiving these calls then you must also be receiving similar calls from unknown numbers. If so I believe these are attributed to the same caller(s). I think it is a competitor of mine that programmed his fax machine to make these out-dial calls. Of course I am not paranoid or anything (LOL)but I think it is someone I know named Kevin.

We started getting these calls after we purchased Intuit Products. Have any of yo purchased Intuit Products? This is the only thing I can attribute to these calls.

I just received 3 calls in a row from this number. It's a fax...to our home phone number. It's keeping my 5-day-old son awake!!!!

Just out of the blue started getting calls from this number. I did some research and found all the company information. Looks like Gordon is going to be buying a lot of pizza for the next few weeks. Then he might start ordering carryout for everyone from some expensive local restaurants.

I suspect they tried as "blocked" but then switched to (514) 958-0000. It was a facsimile attempt.

I get calls from this # too. It is trying to send a fax to me. I recently signed up for myfax service... Not sure if that is something to do with it. But the # it is trying to send a fax to is my cell, not my fax #.

Fax machine beeping, don't have a fax, have blocked future incoming calls/faxes from this number via my home phone service provider. Caller then receives a fax back to their number (wasting their money and time) saying that they are sending nuisance faxes and to please cease and desist.

Caller will phone at least 6 times in a row and leaves a beep on voice mail or when I pick up. Caller phoned at 4:20 a.m. this morning. Caller has been calling for the last week. Very annoying. I shouldn't have to put my phone on silent just to get some sleep because of these annoying people. HELP!

I have been receiving faxes for the entire 6 years that I have had this number. We are slowly able to trace and request to be removed from the automatic dial of these companies. only have this one and one more unknown.

got call at 8:29AM. let machine pick it up. left a message that was 1 minute of beeps. caller ID said: test code PQ. received a second call with ID of Unknown Caller at 8:41. Answered it and it was a series of beeps. called number 514-958-0000 back and got a recording saying the number was not in service. i took ira of 3-20-07 suggestion and used *60 on my cable phone to block the number. thanks, i didn't know about that option.

Caller with an Indian accent called claiming it was a courtesy call from AT&T to confirm that we would receive a 35% discount on our contract. They asked for my name, date of birth (to be sure I was over 18) and our fax number. That's when I got suspicious and hung up. They called right back and I told them they would have to correspond with us in writing from now on.

Incoming fax at all hours of day and night. had to disconnect my fax machine - costing me a small fortune in paper. Attempted to call number left by "ED" below- # no longer in service 5/29/09.

I have been receiving calls from this number for about two years, with variations, on my HOME PHONE. The calls have ALWAYS come in the early am while my phone is turned off. When I listen to my messages, I only hear a FAX beeping. I have no FAX machine, by the way, and I have never received a call from this number after 8 a.m.

I've been receiving fax calls almost always in pairs to a voice line for a couple years. Set up and received the fax - was a t-shirt advertisement.

Multiple Calls a day. The calls between 2 am- 4 am are really starting to piss me off, not to mention wake me up. Will be calling the phone company to file harassment charges against them in the am and request a trace.

I put my phone number in Google search (my number is unlisted) and it came up that my phone number is the same as a fax number for a local trucking company. Try Googling your number and see what happens.

I received an unsolicited FAX promoting "QuickBooks" training with the notation "Thank you for your inquiries regarding our classes." I did not so request. No phone number was shown in the header as required by law. They gave 866-670-5873 to call to have my FAX number removed. (Yeah, right.) The FAX also included a web address of effectivecomputertraining.com to register for classes at Embassy Suites Hotel in Flagstaff, AZ 86001 for March 16-17, 2009.

I dont' know what company this is in Quebec but they are driving me and my family CRAZY. We get calls up to 15 times a day and at all hours of the night.......Does ANYONE know what can be done to STOP THIS??? I now keep my phone off the hook for most of the day. This is a bunch of CRAP that we as taxpayers have to put up with this! I pay my phone company 6.00 a month for an unlisted number...and I get this!

we have no fax machine. our phone rings every night at least once between 12 a.m. and 2 a.m. and then starting around 4:30 a.m. every 20 minutes or so. we can not take phone off hook as we have sick family member.

Just checking back to see if anyone has figured out the REAL name of the person/company it is so that we can ALL slap a law suit on them. I don't think anyone has really found out yet. That fact that so many people are coming forward with different names, companies, numbers connected to this thing really should be a sigh that the idiot behind all this is a real asshole and a REAL criminal.

Did a bit more research online and the number above is related to this website: protus.com although they claim THEY are not faxing the info even though the number you're to call is THEIR PHONE NUMBER!!

Call woke me up just before 6AM to a fax tone. Called back w/in 5 minutes - another fax tone. Plugged in my fax machine: the solicitation flyer came from UNITED LEGAL RECOVERY SERVICES - a collection agency - offering THEIR SERVICES should I have customers who don't pay. While some businesses might find this info useful - they were calling MY PRIVATE RESIDENCE!!! The following phone number is on the flyer: 877-367-4077 ext 447 and I called shortly after 6AM after receiving the fax but received an answering service. The woman said the company, United Legal Recovery Services has offices throughout the U.S. including CA and PA (I live in PA so the telemarketing company they're using SHOULD know better than to call at 6AM). The woman told me they pick up their own calls after 9AM EST and you bet, I'll be giving them a ring later this morning.

If there is ever a lawsuit that holds responsible these ASSHOLES who are phoning all over the world driving people crazy with the 514-958-0000 number , I WANT IN!!

the company is called Express Consolidation, and their # is 888-589-7901. Mention the number 514-958-0000 and you get sent to a team leader who says they will remove you from their call list. Unlikely, but I advised we would pursue legal action if we received another call.

This phone number comes up constantly one right after the other and it is a fax blaring in my ear. When I leave the office my office # is transferred to my cell # so that my clients can get me in case of an emergency. This 514-958-0000 calls my office # at least 8-10 times a day and it is a fax machine. They are calling our main number and not our fax #. It has got to stop because every time in comes through on my cell I am charged for it.

I would get calls all day from an Unknown Number that when you answer has the fax beeps. I would like to beat down who ever is repsonsible for these annoying phone calls. I hope you read this and i hope you die a slow and painful death.

This number sent us a junk fax today suposedly from "Media Associates" for FHA 10 to 40 year mortgages. They want you to call 888-889-6498. On the bottom of the fax it states, "Please call 1-866-309-3166 to be removed from our fax list"

These ppl have been calling us for over 3 years. We are even in the donot call list and they still call and the message is always an annoying fax beep. Somebody knows who these are?

Same as all others... many, many phone calls to my cell phone. The one time I answered it, got a fax tone... received 6 calls today all between 7:00-9:30 CST.

958 is a universally reserved exchange; it's intended for use as a testing prefix by the telephone companies. As such, the calls aren't coming from this number, nor are they guaranteed to all come from the same company, as they are spoofing their caller ID information to report a bogus number.

First I received a call from "514-958-0000" on my cell phone. I didn't answer because I was upstairs and I'd left my cell phone downstairs, but they left a voice mail. When I checked it, all it was, was long beeps with 3 second intervals. A short while later I received a call from "UNKNOWN". I answered but there wasn't an actual person on the other end. It was the same long beeps with 3-second intervals from the voice mail I'd received earlier. And just now, as I type this, I've received another call from "UNKNOWN" with the same beep bs. 3 calls already today?! WTF is going on?

I live in North Idaho. I just finally got caller ID. Same # appears 3-4 x's a day. It just beeps at me. VERY ANNOYING. I cannot find out who the company is by doing a reverse search. BS.

i too had just moved into my new apartment and recieved my telephone number when the agravating phone calls began. they would call several times a day and usually many times in a row!!!!!!!!!! they even would do it at 3 AM!!!!!!!!!!!! i chose to sign up for caller id and the package came with call blocking. i have logged this number on the call blocking and hope my $10 a month is well spent for me to not have to deal with these agravating s.o.b.'s again. will post again when im confident this CRAP! is over :)

I am an attorney, and I have been receiving multiple fax calls from this number and 0001 every day for weeks. What started as a minor annoyance is now a major headache which is driving me crazy. My local phone company was of little help, since the calls apparently originated in Canda. So, today, I filed a complaint with the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunication Commission. And I would suggest everyone else do the same.

Got this message on our Caller ID for our main line, you get a beep then it hangs up. Happens multiple times a day and very annoying.

i have received over 100 calls from them. Every day in the morning I receive 3 or 4 and then every night I receive 3 or 4.

I was getting several calls a day on my cell, in the space of a few minutes from either "unavailable" or this number. Just a series of beeps. It was maddening. It finally stopped, but early yesterday it started happening again. I was waiting for an important call and these were driving me crazy. I finally had to turn my phone off. I wish I at least knew WHO was sending me these beeps! Even when I pick up the phone, it just disconnects eventually. ARGH!

They claim to be a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organiation who as they put it, "coduct educational and assistance programs regarding debt management", whatever the hell that means.
Per the FCC, They have numerous complaints in the public record for delivering pre-recorded unsolicited advertisements and faxes to residential phone lines.
Mailed them a cease and desist letter. I'm no longer receiving any more fax calls from them.

I've been getting these annoying FAX calls for the last several days. The caller ID shows 514-958-0000 the first time. Then 15 minutes later comes a 2nd FAX call but this time it says Unknown Name / Unknown Number. This sequence comes several times every morning.

Just got a fax call from PLANT TEST PQ at 514-958-0000. I think they've called before, but I reset the Caller ID unit a month ago. They might have been on my block caller list, but I may have removed them because I can only block 15 numbers. I wish telco would let us block whole blocks of numbers that send me junk faxes. I've *never* had a fax on my home phone line. Back before cable modems, I had a separate phone line for the modem.

If I could find out who it is without putting a fax on the line, I would write them a letter telling them that if they continue to call me I will sue them in local small claims court, as allowed by the Fed junk fax law.

today's fax call is from "Mortgage Services" at 1-888-207-4163. I spoke with someone named Paul whose voice was the same as the incoming recording. He was hostile with me as though I was the one doing something wrong. Perhaps they need to brush up on the laws. I am just about to the point of contacting a lawyer to sue these companies.

it has been happening all day, sometimes it's TEST CODE PQ and sometimes it's unknown name, unknown number. Then it's just beeps, like a fax transmission. Very annoying.

If anyone is receiving calls from 514-958-0000 or 514-958-0001 you should know that these calls are coming from a company selling the Dish Network. If you the phone and get a sales person, you can play along with them to find out on whose behalf they are calling. I finally figured out that my last 10 calls have been for Marrik Dish Co. Seeking to sell me Dish Network. The guy gave me the number to a gay sex line to get removed from their list. (no offense but that is really not my preference)

Their number is 866-WITHDISH. Let them know how you feel. You can even email them from their website at withdish.com.

Called North American Bancard at (866) 694-5333 to have my phone number removed from their marketing list. All my numbers are on the Do Not Call list but they were calling anyway. They also use 514-958-0001 to call from. I've received fax calls from these numbers for over a year. Thanks for the post about NAB. We'll see if this works to stop the annoying calls, day and night, many times a day.

Verbal sales pitch differed from blank Contract they make you sign. NAB needs to be taught a lesson by BBB.

Got a couple of calls on this number today. It was a FAX call, but the line doesn't have a FAX attached to capture it.

Called 866-416-0332, spoke with new account rep who said he would take care of it, removed my number, etc. It is 10:51 am on 4/25/07. We'll see if that works. I'll follow up if it does not work.

We are getting calls from this number today. Pick up and it beeps. I called 800-305-1794 and got them to remove my home phone number. Thanks Ben for that number....

Here's a twist. My CC was declined when making a purchase. Called CC company was told that a 514 ? 0000 number called to to access or make changes to my account. The CC company put a hold on the account until I called them and they gave me a partial number. Closed the acct. cause, why would they try to access my acct.? Beware!

I get them almost every day at about the same time, usually in the morning. Sometimes the phone number (514-958-0000) shows up, at other times, it is Unknown. Always a Fax machine sound. Thought of changing my number but then I thought It'll prolly just start again with a new number. I've been getting them for at least 3 months now. I wish they would stop.

Comcast does not seem to be able to prevent these call. Their call block doesn't work -- this number still comes in. Is it a question of getting a fax machine hooked up to see what is actually trying to be sent? Even Spoke to Comcast's legal dep't and they cannot trace the calls. The calls come in without a number, but once when I was on the other line and got call waiting the 514-958-0000 number appeared. Any one have any success getting these calls to stop? I'm already on the Do Not Call list.

Have recieved calls in the past during reasonable hours from Quebec to my Fax machine and then one time a fax came through that gave me an option to be put on THEIR do not call list which I did and was not bothered for a month or so.
At 5:07 AM this date we recieved a call to our Fax machine from 514-958-0000. Quest gave me the info to come to this site and also call 866-572-2134 to advise them not to call us again. Quest also advised me to go to donotcall.gov and register ALL our phones which I promptly did. Hope this helps others and works for us!!!!

We received 3 phone calls last night, 3:05am, 3:12am, 3:17am. I am starting to record these, we are receiving at least 10 a week in the early hours of the MORNING!!! Is there anything we can do?

This phone number calls my cell 6, 7 times a day. It is a fax line and leaves me "voicemails" that are faxes - so frustrating!!!!

Got a "privacy plus" call and heard a fax beep. Hung up and they called back this time with a name of Quebec on the caller id. This was also a fax and it went through to my fax machine. Was a bit on CD rates a place called Epsilon Commercial LTD a divison of UAB Medicinos Bank, Member of the London Stock Exchange. Never heard of them. But 2 calls within 5 min of each other.

I found extensive information about this nusaince number and companies using it, including copies of "official citation" from FCC which includes names and addresses of all owners of offending companies (specifically a man named Randall Leshin). I've been getting calls from a fax "Quebec 514-958-0000, annoying but liveable. UNTIL NOW - last night call came in at 3:50 AM!!!! So, now I'm *&^%($ off. Called 866-416-0332 and asked them to remove me from their list. Emailed nabancard.com for removal and called 866-572-2134 to be removed. I also signed up for Call screen from Telus (*60) so I WILL NOT be getting any more calls from them!!!!

We routinely get up to 20 calls some days from this number, always the same fax beeping looking for acknowledgement. Phone company is using their security dept to track it down. I feel your pain,lol.

The call persisted for eight rings until the tape machine picked up. The caller hung up before the outgoing message (6 seconds long) finished.

I received this call on my mobile phone at 06:41 on the morning of 20 March 2007. I answered and just got some loud beeping. Perhaps it was a modem or facsimile system?

I receive these about 20-30 times per day now. They are always fax attempts to my home number. I've tried blocking, but no success. It either states Unknown or Plant Test PQ.

This is my home phone and I don't even have a fax - it's very annoying. (as most of you here already know)

Domain Registry Support have a history of using deceptive tactics. Illegal fax spamming with phony caller ID is not surprising considering their business is tricking people into transferring their internet domains by sending fake UDRP notices and phony invoices.

I received yet another call(or 3) from this number today(01-03-2007). The fax that came through was from Simco Meats out of Los Angeles, CA. The fax did include a number at the bottom of the page to have your number removed from future offers. TOLL FREE 866-572-2134. I hope this helps someone...including myself!
