Who Called Us

I was told they were calling to do a survey for US Cellular after a recent call we made to customer service. I told the girl we didn't want to do the survey. They have called back daily, usually in evening, since that time. We don't pick up.

The DNC registry is for telemarketers, meaning sales. Charities, debt collectors, political speech, and surveyors are all exempt as they are not included in the FTC definition of "telemarketing". This was made known to you when you registered your numbers. The exemptions can arguably be sales by another name, maybe even used for backdoor violations, but that's the rule as written.

Claimed they do not have to comply with the do not call list.
But said they would put me on their internal do not call list. We'll see.

This Burke Marketing? This has the distinct smell like AGI, Ill. Maritz Research, Va. companies that get names via third party sharing the do not call loop hole.Do not for sure but this has the same M O has those who were calling on behalf of Bank of America via their credit card arm FIA.

Burke Mkting called to take a survey..they hung up when they were told they called the scene of a homicide.Ha Ha!

Just called my home phone, left no message on my machine. Annoying.

Called - since caller ID's can be forged - I don't answer numbers I don't know

Burke Mktg Rese came up on caller ID but had hung up by the third ring. We too are on the DNC list!

Called at 8:58 pm and left no message on machine.

Just number on caller ID called late in the afternoon but no one home to answer call.

Call claims she was from Sprint and wanted to take a survey; however, first needed my PIN---yeah well that didn't happen. Rude person.

Called my cell in the last four days five times. Do Not call them! They called at all hours of the night.

Have had repeated calls from these bozos wanting to do a survey. "Go away" is not in their vocabulary. Most recent call was today, when their predictive dialer routed me to "Jennifer," who said that the Do Not Call list does not apply to them because they're taking a survey, not selling. Sigh... Told her it would be a real bad idea to bother us regardless, at which point she gave up. I think they're probably political pollsters; will try getting more detail out of them the (inevitable) next time they call.

Received on 8-23. Hung up when answering machine. Seems DNC does not work. Has anyoneever heard of them going after someone?

We did not pick up as it was obviously a call we didn't want.
