I get these calls as well. I think the best thing to do is to make certain you don't give them any money, and when you finally get to talk to a real person on the phone let them know why. Your friends, neighbors and coworkers are also getting these calls, so make sure to talk with them about it. Start your own grass roots F*** CalPal movement. Maybe when the backlash gets big enough and people stop giving these idiots will be forced to return to a more honorable method of fund raising.

California PAL called again this morning..., they hang up when i pick up the phone - I'm going to call them back right now to tell how annoying this is...how stupid are they? How do they ever expect to get money from people if they hang up on them? Not that i would have donated, but gees...waste my time evem more by hanging up on me. Grrrrr

I got the same caller ID, didn't answer the phone (of course). No msg.

How do I stop them from calling?

  1. Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
  2. If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the FTC.
  3. Block them with a call blocker:
