Who Called Us

The company (at least the latest one behind this) is TSS (Total Soft Solutions) in India. Their web address is totalsoftsolutions.co.in
They are working for an american company VMS Alarms trying to sell home alarm systems. They bypass the DNC registry by stating they are doing a survey. They're not though its telemarketing. VMS info is vmsalarms.com, their phone number is 1-866-493-1253. They are based in Providence, RI. They have used several different telemarketing companies over the last several years, all with the same story line. I say we all call them and ask if they have any smoke detectors in their home!!

Or call Monitronics, they are the company that manufactures the alarm systems that VMS sells. Their contact info is

Called about smoke alarms--caller was rude, evasive, and argumentative. I eventually hung up.

The caller ID showed WPI GROUP INC, from the above number. When I said "Who is calling?" the caller hung up. What is going on? Anyone know?

NO one answered when I said hello but hung on the line for a bit....very disconcerting as I my father lives in that area code

Stupid skank calls and asks me if I have any smoke detectors in the house.
I tell her that I don't smoke, she asks again and I tell her I quit smoking 20 years ago.
Little does she know that I like screwing with tele-maggots. She then becomes obviously irritated but I keep jerking her chain.
She finally hung up on me. I like wasting their time because they get paid on commission.

The caller needed info n the fire alarms in the house. I refused. He wanted to know why - I told him he could get the info from the building records. He asked if I was Indian. I replied that it didn't matter what I was. He made a rude comment about my kind of 'Indian' and hung up.

I received a call from this group on the eve. of March 3-11-10 about 7;45pm. The man was a foreigner. He ask if I had smoke alarms in my home. I questioned him on this, and he got mad and yelled in phone to me, "F--- you" and hung up. I only had ask him where he was calling from. I have reported this to my local sheriff's dept. giving them the phone # he called from, plus my local phone company, and to my local fire dept. Several neighbors in my area were also called the same day by this same company, and from a foreigner, who sounded like he could have been from India or Middle East.

Called 8 times in a row. I never answer the phone when I don't know who it is. Maybe they thought if the phone kept ringing I'd finally pick it up. After the 3rd set of rings, I got on the web and looked up the number. Glad I did judging from the number of responses. I too am on the DNC registry. I don't think it really works.

This is the 2nd time they called-I just get silence. I just reported them to the DNC registry as I am on the list and should not be getting solicitation or survey calls.

Has called three times in past two weeks. Never leaves message. Annoying.

Finally got the last idiot to stop calling (which as also a telemarketer), now this stupid idiot from this number is calling me....this pisses me off, I'm on the DNC list and haven't been getting any of the calls until I ordered the INSTYLER on-line, now can't stop them.

Not only did they ask if we had fire alarms...they wanted to know if we had a security system. Whats this company up to?

This number showed up twice on my Caller ID at 5:31PM & 5:32PM yesterday. No message was left.

I am tired of getting calls from this number, I am on a do not call list, so why do I keep getting their calls?

This number has been calling my house at all times of the day. I am on the do not call list and unpublished. When I asked them what it pertained to, she then asked me about fire alarms in my house. When I told her again to stop calling me, she told me to SHUT UP and then hung up on me. I am reporting them.

Called my cel phone. Promptly told her this was a cel and please take me off that calling list.

What can be done about these calls comming from WPI, Group Inc. They called at 1:40am.

Number came up (508) 463-3018, ID said "Out Of Area". I answered, no answer back, noise in background.
Repeated my "Hello" 3 times, each time getting louder. Finally a response from a male voice, no discernible accent, sounded as if I should know who it was. I said, "Who is this?" Reply was, "Why should I tell you?" I then became silent, as he did. After remaining on line for about 15 seconds, hearing just the background noise, I hung up. Attempted to call back, but mailbox was full.

The caller asked if I had fire alarms in my house, and clearly stated it was not a sales call. Hmmm.... then WHY would anyone want to waste their time to find out if there are fire alarms in my house?? Out of shear concern I imagine... DUH!! Since our number is unlisted and registered on the do-not-call list, they can consider themselves reported. Let's get our politicians to perform some constructive results for a change!

I have this number blocked on my phone, but they still get through. i get at least 4 calls per week. can someone make them stop.

Got a call from this number and after asking the man to take me off their list he told me, "no, I will not". I again asked him and he repeated that he wouldn't because I wasn't helping him!

Calls at least once a day and I've set up the phone to bounce it. But this time I answered. It was a man I think from the country of India saying "this was not a sales call but was asking for information about smoke detectors..."

I told him I was on the DO NOT CONTACT LIST...."DO NOT CONTACT!"

Ive received several very similar calls over the past month or so. Very belligerent woman with an Indian accent who insists she will keep calling me even though I asked her not to call and to take me off the list. I will file a report with National Do Not Call Registry today.

Person said his name is "Mac" and this was not a sales call! Many voices in background (boiler room?) I informed him I was registered on MA & Federal Do Not Call Registries - he tried to say he was NOT soliciting, just a survey call -- I told him to remove my number from his list and I would register a written complaint on the call. I hung up - then reported the call to the National Do Not Call Registry!

Called 3 times. Answered 3rd time. Survey regarding Smoke Detectors...Told her I dont want to participate and remove my #. We started arguing to the point were I was screaming obscentities. She told me that she is going to keep calling and told me to shut the fuck up and to fuck off all while she was laughing...and of course, claimed to be the manager!

She had no right to call my home and get me upset like this....I plan I following up on this!

Called 2 times so far but I didn't answer and they didn't leave a message. This was on my cell phone... not sure how they got that number unless it's random dialing.

I received a phone call from this number letting me know that I won a free home security system. I told them that I already had one and I hung up.

Got a call from some jerk who could barely speek english. Said he represented GE and I had been chosen to receive a free home security system I just had to be the homeowner. When I said that I rented he hung up. No sory, or good-bye, just hung up. Where di they get these crude freakin idiots?

Called at 8:37p.m. did not leave a message and i am on the do not call list. If there calling that late at night they sure don't need anyone to answer.

Ok - gettin the same caller id. Report to your state att'y gen. especially if you're on the do not call list. and then, just let them keep calling.
Think they'll eventually stop if they get no response.

Called twice but said nothing , once at 9:00 PM then again at 9:15. I hit redial and got a full voice mail box. Who is this calling but more importantly what is the purpose??

Don't know who they are or why they called, but it is annoying that they do not follow the National Do Not Call list.I will report them.

calls several times daily, often dead air calls, have asked them repeatedly to take us off their calling list and have informed them that we are already on the DO NOT CALL list.

Indian sounding person. Said He was calling about DSS. I asked what DSS was but I could not understand. So I told him to take me off the call list and hung up

I got a call from this number. I googled it and found a company in India that does business in the US. It listed this number as its number. The owners email address is ashish@totalsoftsolutions.co.in. I think it is a telemarketer, but I pretended not to speak English hoping to tie them up and keep them on the phone as long as possible (I like messing with telemarketers) but as soon as I said Hola, he said sorry and hung up the phone.

This oriental sounding person called asking about smoke alarms in my house at 8:30PM. Even though I'm on the national do not call list and the local DO NOT CALL list as well. The caller ID showed WPI< Group, INC. After I told them to never call my number again they just hung up.

Foreign speaking lady called asking if we had a smoke detector in the home. When she said she was from TSS Total Survey Solution. After each of my questions she kept asking if we had a smoke detector. I told her that they called earlier in the week and I was still not interested in participating in the survey. I had to hang up because she would not take no for an answer.

They started out saying "This is not a sales call," and then proceeded to ask me questions: Do you have a smoke detector, good, do you change the battery every 6 months, good, last one, do you have a fire extinguisher, good, last one ... at which point I said, you already SAID last one ... and I hung up!

Dot head bitch asking about smoke detectors at 9:24 fucking PM.

Caller had strong foreign accent and said he was from Motortronics, a GE dealer. Background sounded like a call center. At that point, I hung up.

An obvious foreign person who spoke very bad English. Said he was Motortronics? A dealer for GE. I hung up.
