Yep.. Another solicitor trying to sell credit card services to reduce your credit card interest.. Funny thing is.. WE DON'T HAVE A SINGLE CREDIT CARD!!!! Believe it or not! Oh! And ATM Visa or ATM Mastercards don't count.. They are litterally prepaid debit cards so there is no interest to lower because they use the amount of money you have in the bank account they where issued for as your so called credit line.. Of course. Since our phone number is not only unlisted publicly but is listed on the NDNCR and has been for some time I am filing complaints against them EVERY TIME they call. Even though they are calling and hanging up on our answering machine/voicemail. I even setup our fax machine to pickup one ring early so that they get those nasty digital squawking, beeping, static, and chattering noises when they call to see if that gets them to stop calling... They have only called one time since I did this..

Well, aren't we all in for a little luck! I began doing some research on this number...according to my research, Global Crossing Local Services, Inc. is the carrier. I filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission (877-382-4357). The FTC wanted to know if my number was registered with the National Do Not Call Registry (888-382-1222 or donotcall.gov). The FTC employee also suggested I send the company a

I received this hokey call about lowering my credit card interest without mentioning what bank or organization. it directed me to press 1 to talk to a representative so I thought what the heck I'll play. the rep.? answered and hung up when I asked for a little info from her. Definite Scam!!!! and they wouldn't play. Not nearly as good the Wells Fargo one. I filed a complaint also!!!

Same as others, it's the old Credit Card Scam. "Hello, this is Rachel from Cardholder Services. We're calling to inform you about an issue with your credit card. There is no problems with your card, but we wanted to notify you that you now qualify for a lower interest rate" or some such crap like that. They've called our house before in the past with various numbers, but this time the call came in on my cell phone. Time to file a formal complaint.

Did not answer because I did not know the number. No message was left. Called the number back from a different phone to find out who it was and the number is not a valid number.

Same credit card scam. I've gotten at least one phone call a week for the past six months. "This is an important message regarding you card account...." This time, they called MY CELL PHONE!! >:(

Recorded message offering to lower credit card payments - I filed a complaint at Do Not Call Registry - suggest others do the same.

2011-10-15 00:05:14 UTCFYI

Same old credit card scam. Sometimes leaves a message about lowering the interest rate on your credit cards. Often just hangs up. Calls from a million different names/numbers. They sure are tenacious.

Called left no message ..Caller ID said Merchant

How do I stop them from calling?

  1. Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
  2. If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the FTC.
  3. Block them with a call blocker:
