I just called the number back. Was told they were looking for a 'Rebecca Rogers'(sp?). Well, I'm not her. Not even close. Its their collection division.

Automated call keeps calling my cell phone and asking to input my credit card number.
Several calls each day. We have no problems with any credit cards.

This company says they are Wells Fargo. However they call from several different numbers (515-327-3019, 503-403-2686, 503-403-2665, 503, 403-2661, 503-403-2670) so I am unsure if it really is Wells Fargo or this is a scam. The 515 number shows in caller ID as Wells Fargo but the other numbers don't. They are however, the same people calling. I am not and never have been a Wells Fargo customer and have been asking them for months to stop calling me. Unfortunately, this has resulted in an increase in calls. I get called several times per day and it is driving me insane. I have told them they have the wrong number but the calls just keep increasing. I have filed several complaints with the national do not call list but it has made no difference. I then filed a complaint with the Federal Reserve who could not help but they did forward my complaint onto the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) who regulate banks and who deal with these types of complaints. They have accepted my complaint and are investigating it. If you are being harrassed by these people too, I encourage you to file a complaint. The more complaints received, the higher priority this will become. Here is how you contact the OCC:

I have no business with Wells Fargo, no credit cards, no loans, no nothing, but this number calls me 3-5 times a day and they don't answer and do not leave a message, they call me on my cell phone so they are wasting my minutes. Losers!

2007-12-18 15:59:08 UTCDave Y

Wells Fargo Card Services - they had my cell as somone else's number and removed me from their system.

If they call more than 3 times per day, it may be illegal. Research the laws on debt collectors, and if need be, file a complaint.

I already sent them a message telling them to tell me what they want or leave me alone. So far, option 2 is their response. I'm just fine with that.

Thanks. These folks call A LOT. Like, 5-7 times a day, and I am not even very behind!

TELL THEM GO TO HELL.

2007-06-08 15:51:17 UTCPatsyKB

Called early this morning - 6/8/07 - after I said "hello" several times, caller hung up. This was the first of these calls, but I expect it won't be the last.
We have had our phone number here for just a year and regularly receive collection calls for various people we've never heard from.

They are worse than the mafia. The call my house several times a day and even my husbands work cell phone, which I would like to know how they got it.

2007-04-13 22:03:33 UTCjorge

This number is the Wells Fargo Collection Mafia.

Beware, don't ever talk to them. They will harrass you. Give them also a hard time that is good for them.

2007-03-31 12:15:23 UTCVic

Wellsfargo call my house 5 times a day M-F. and 2 times a day on Saturday and Sunday. Isn't that harrassment. I pick up most times and no one is on the phone.

2007-03-06 18:01:54 UTCjohnny

This is the Wells Fargo Bank collection syndicate.

They are very rude, so better ignore or do not answers calls from this number.

How do I stop them from calling?

  1. Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
  2. If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the FTC.
  3. Block them with a call blocker:
