How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the
FTC. - Block them with a call blocker:
Uniden DECT1288 blocks up to 20 numbers, plus Private and Unknown, with the reject tone, without ringing the phone.
Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

They asked for my SSN and account number, when I said I'd go to the bank she tried to get my phone number too.
they claim to be Wells Fargo but it is hokey DON'T give them any info hang-up and call Wells Fargo yourself number is on back of debit card or yellow pages
received a call. Answered and it was a hang up 7 seconds later. I have received other calls from similar numbers with the same result.
Called back, woman wanted account # first. I refused, then she wanted my full ss# I refused again. She was not very professional, lots of background noise. I then called Wells Fargo. I gave them my account number and she checked with their call centers. She said that Wells Fargo has not called me and it was smart not to give them any information.
Got a call from this number. No one left a message.
Received call at 3:44p on 01/18/10. Didn't answer it; no message left.
The recording asks if I'm "Laura Aunerand" and if not to press "0" for further instructions and then tells you to call Wells Fargo Credit Dept @1-800-988-8019. Which I have done several times. The person @ Wells Fargo wants to know what phone number the call came in on. Which I've given and am told that there is nothing listed under that name or phone number?????
