Who Called Us

I got a call from this number on my cell phone a few minutes ago. Didn't answer since I didn't recognize the number. The brief "message" on my voicemail just sounded like a call center background before it disconnected. If this is Wells Fargo as reported, then it was a wrong number as I have never dealt with this company before in my life. Not concerned so long as they don't keep calling the wrong number.

Looks as if Wells Fargo again called using a different number. I am not now or have ever financed an auto with Wells Fargo. Surely there must be some way these tactics can come under "Do Not Call" protection.

Has anyone tried getting some information from the caller? I learned this from a friend of mine -- be civil, ask them for their name, their employee number, and once you have that information, ask to speak with their supervisor. Document the date and time, and length of conversation. If you get angry or defensive, they are more likely to not tell you what you want to know, or they will hang up on you. It is illegal for them to call after 8pm (YOUR TIME) -- if they are an hour behind you and the call comes to you after 8pm, that's their problem that they can't figure out the time zones. You can sue for harrassment. Hope this helps... :)

Keep calling but have no issue with me, they are unable to tell me why anyone is calling me!

Wells Fargo is by far the worst Financial institute on this planet!!! My ex-wife financed a vehicle with them and she fell into some hard times. I started making the payments for her until she could get back on her feet. She was caught up and then again had to take a paycut, in the mean time I lost my contract working in Brazil, due to not being able to get my Visa renewed. They keep calling me and harrassing me (to include the place where I work) demanding that I make the payment. I again worked with my ex to help her get caught up. I spoke with a Brandon one day, he said he was the account manager, made a payment and arrangements. The next week this rude woman named Mellisa called demanding more money, I said that I spoke with a Brandon and told her that I would speak with him, she started yelling and said she didn't know a Brandon and I needed to speak with her, I told her our conversation was over, I then overheard her say to Brandon " I am not talking to that F&&king asshole. I asked Brandon why she lied and said that she did not know you and why she said what she did. Of course he had no answer. I had to refresh his memory of our conversation after he denied speaking with me. he said I was lieing to him. Then I gave him his telephone number - extension and name and asked him if he never spoke with me how in the hell did I get all of his contact information. Again he got the senile syndrome. Anyway I requested the documents be sent to so I could review the statements, Brandon refused. I called one of the WF numbers that I had on my caller ID and requested the documents. After I reviewed them, I found that some of the payments that I had made for her they applied to that one month payment and the rest to the loan principle. WF kept saying that she was 2 months behind and that the vehicle was in repossesion stages. I have been trying to fix this problem, everytime they call and I bring this up they hang up on me. I have no idea what the next course of action would be. They are the most arrogant, lieing, ignorant people that I have come across. Good Luck to everyone that are having problems with them, your going to need it. Phone call #4 Today 4 differents numbers all have hung up when questioned.

No surprise well fargo showed up! Just keep in mind these people have to sleep at night too...I bet they don't. Just remember that this company is taking over wachovia, so I have moved from wachovia too!!!

It's really too bad that our government can give money to the banks but can't control their harassment - the debt laws should require at least a 30 day wait on late payments before they start to call and harass you ESPECIALLY since they can't report it to the credit (another joke) bureaus for 30 days.

very rude man - asked for someone whose name I don't recognize, I told him don't know them. I asked how many times I had to say no. He asked how long I had this number, I told him that was none of his business and how about they don't call here anymore. Next thing I know he yells at me "how about you answer my questions". At that point, I was less than thrilled, finally got his attention and asked if he could hang on a minute, he said sure. At that point I told him whatever he had this number associated with he should remove it and not call again, or my attorney would be in contact with him, and I hung up (luckily my atty loves taking care of this kind of stuff).
Rather insane

These people are INSANE and do nothing but harrass!! They call before a payment is even due. They call and say payment has not been made even after a payment has been cashed by them. The calls come from over 50 different numbers that I have noticed. I do not answer any calls from them anymore. It doesn't matter what I say or prove anyways they think they are always right. Their left hand does NOT know what their right hands are doing. I am paying off this loan ASAP and I guarantee they will still call me after loan is paid in full just like they do when I am current with my loan and payment has been made. If they need to say something to me they can leave a darn message!! WELLS FARGO AUTO FINANCE CAN KISS MY BUTT!!!!

God this company has soooo many different numbers from all over the world, they call from! Arrggghh!!! They call EVEN AFTER YOU MADE ARRANGEMENTS WITH THEM!!!!???!!!

Harassment!

just showed bethehem pa on id.. hum wellsfargo has a new number??? they are the biggest pests there is and break the law all the time!!!

Wells Fargo called my office and I explained that I was at work, had people in my office, gave them my cell phone number and asked them to call me that evening at home. We hung up and immediately my cell phone rings, I see Wells Fargo's number, so I ignore and let it go to voicemail. They immediately call back again - this time I answer and ask what they didn't understand about calling IN THE EVENING AS I WAS STILL AT WORK.

This seems to be from Wells Fargo auto finance, but we have never had any kind of account with them and don't even have a car loan at this time. They call at least 10 times a day from a variety of numbers---all with "Unknown Name".

Wells Fargo begins calling the morning your payment is due, sometimes even before it's due. Can you say harassment? They never identify themselves and if they get your spouse there's "No message I'll try again later" which translates to another call in 5 minutes.

I have a new cell and Wells Fargo keeps calling my PRIVATE number. I have yelled and screamed and they will NOT stop calling my cell. They call all day long..

These fools call over 10 times a day. I just ignore them and then they leave an annoying sound... no message. Then some idiot named "Saleem" calls once, I don't answer... calls back and tries to sound stern. Please... get another life.
