How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the
FTC. - Block them with a call blocker:
Uniden DECT1288 blocks up to 20 numbers, plus Private and Unknown, with the reject tone, without ringing the phone.
Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

they keep calling my number stating that this is "the last time they will call." Why do they keep calling if it is? When I ask for the name of the company or to be removed from their list, the guy hangs up. I'm on the DNC list and I have reported them.
My answering machine picked-up the call on 11/51/06. No message, just Caller ID = Ohio.
My Greeting says "If you are a Telemarketer, please take me off your list".
Previously I would receive several of these a day but only one, or none now.
Got a call on 8/14/06 says no name, didn't answer. no message left. Called it back and number disconnected. Hate this crap. It's happened from another number too. Called it back and disconnected. People need to get a life. Houston, TX
I had calls forwarded to cell, I saw # only, no name. A recroded msg began about "Credit Services', I hung up.

I picked up the phone, answered, Rae speaking and a recorded sales pitch, saying that I've won a free trip to Florida or the Bahamas. As I heard that I hung up the phone.

Always when I am feeding the baby - so didn't get to the phone in time and they did not leave a message. Same thing as other folks - googled and here we are.

I got a call from them, and this number more than likely belongs to an outsourced telemarketing company hired by one of the major credit card companies. I got a recorded message that said "press 1 to learn more" or something, and "press 2 to be removed from list" however that is obviously untrue, since they have called numerous times to help "improve my credit" and I have pressed "2" every time. They need to be shot.
A call from this number was received at 10:56 am on August 21, 2006--no message was left. I have been on the no-call list for several months. Found this site through a google search.

Several calls from them this week (8/12-8/18). Most were no one on the other end. Then got a recording the last time from Card services saying there was a problem with my card and I could hit 1 to lower my rate or 2 to delete. I Hung up. Obviously someone is up to no good.
Called at 3:06 PM Aug 18th. Showed as Caller Name: "unavailable". Hung up as no one on other end.
I got a call from this number at 1:35 on August 18,but i did not answer it, but when i called back the number had been disconected. The name said unknown.

Called this AM, ID displayed OHIO CALL. I didn't answer since it was from Ohio & I dont know anyone there. Figure telemarketers. No message left. Did google, found this site too. Someone needs something better to do with their time.

Obviously up to no good. My credit card interest rate was in danger of going up. But, they asured me there was nothing wrong with my credit. I could "accept" by pressing 1 or "decline" by pressing 2. It sounded like a recording to me. Never talked to a live person. They have not called back.
