Who Called Us

They call 2 or 3 times a week and I pressed two a couple times to stop the call, then I pressed one to talk to a real person. Everytime I ask them to not call me and they say they put me on the do not call list and hang up. As I'm reading through the comments, I can see I'm not the only one who is angry. I signed up for the national do not call list a few days ago and haven't heard anything since. They always had an American/New England Accent so I can't help but think a branch of this scam is close to MA.

They better hope to god I don't find out where they work.

How many complaints have to be filed against them before they quit?

I've been getting those same calls. I've tried pressing 2 to be removed once or twice. Three other times I've pressed 1 to speak to someone. The first time, I got someone to answer, and before I could finish saying "take me off your list," they hung up on me. The second time, I never got through to anyone, and was disconnected by the system after 20 minutes. The third time, I got an answer, started off acting like I wanted to buy what they were selling. Once I had verified the caller's name and company, I told him to take me off the list. He said he would, but I have still received one or two calls since.
I'm considering sending them a certified letter threatening to sue under the TCPA. Don't have the name of the company on me right now (sorry). They've also called from 402-982-0464.

This number continues to call my cell phone, how do I stop this?

I got this call and I answered. I listened to the message and it said that you could press 1 to talk to a representative. The representative asked for my name and make and model of my car. I told them my name. But I refused to give them the make and model of my car. I said, "Actually, you tell me since you called me." The sales person immediately asked if I wanted to be taken off the call list and I said yes. I knew that it was a scam once they wanted MY information. When my Geico rep calls me, she tells me the information about me on file, I don't tell her.

I RECEIVED A CALL FROM 402-982-0602 SAYING MY CAR WARRANTEE NEEDS TO BE EXTENDED (SCAM:I DONT HAVE A CAR WARRANTEE & MY CAR'S TOO OLD TO NEED ONE) & THEN I GOT A CALL FROM 401-762-4302, I DIDN'T ANSWER, THE MESSAGE THEY LEFT WAS JUST 3 SECONDS OF MUSICAL NOTES.

They called twice, and I missed the call. Thinking it might be something important I called back only to get a busy signal.

These guys called me twice today. What the hell, I don't even own a car!!!!! When I asked how they got my number, they hung up! It's a total scam!!!!

I have received multiple calls from this number. Sometimes there's a message about some car warranty or no message at all. The messgae is detailed in the sense that I have to call back "asap" because this is the last warning...I DON'T EVEN HAVE A CAR!! what is their deal...is the scam only a success if you call them back and give them your info....i don't bother...

Okay - can somebody catch these people and throw them in the alligator pond before I do it myself?

How can we get them to stop calling us. I listen to the message and press the correct number like it syas and then it disconnects. When you try to call the number back its alwyas busy.

I've been getting them too. But I sis find something to do about it. Just read this article on msnbc msnbc.msn.com on th elast page of the story there is a link to the Federal Trade Commission. Report them! If enough people report it, then the Government can bring a lawsuit.here is the final paragraph from the article....

"If you are the recipient of one of these sales calls, file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission.
The government has the power to sue these companies, fine them, and make them stop any misleading sales
practices."

Called my cell phone. There is NO TRUTH to the rumors that calling cell phones will become legal. In fact calling your cell phone is ALWAYS AGAINST THE LAW!

Wireless call; They never leave a message.

They just woke me up too...but about half an hour before that I got call from another scam...This is ridiculous. I'm so tired of getting these calls. It's so annoying.

this is the 30th time no joke they have called me saying my warranty is about to expire on my car, funny thing is i never had a warranty and i never bought it brand new. they left a message on my voice mail as i told them to go FK themselves and went to the police. today they went to far. They just don't know who they are calling because i will keep going to the police until this is stopped.

Call was to my cell phone. No message. Second time that the cell phone was called. I have stopped counting all the landline calls. This is getting very old....and increasingly annoying...

It is some warranty scam. I've actually talked to the people and asked repeatedly to have my number taken off the list, but apparently not.

I recently bought a 2008 car (used) so I am guessing that they bought some kind of list of people that recently purchased a new car.

These people have been calling me on and off for about 2 months on my cell phone. I hang up as soon as I hear "Your warrantee"

I received this call on my cell phone, which is a number I have NEVER given out to anyone other than family. It is illegal to make telemarketing calls to a cell phone unless the company has had any business relationship with you (sales (internet/mail order/brick and mortar store), auto repair, home repair/improvement, ... [or you gave them your cell phone number]). It doesn't matter if your number is on a "no call list" or not.

Want to get back at them? Do like I did! I've reported this to the FCC. And if you receive this type of call on your cell phone, you should too!

Got a Call From this Number and now it's saying it's been disconected I traced the call it is registered under amie Beals and I think it is being used as a fraud of some sort!

I tried calling this number back, and it doesn't even ring. It just connects and a second later the call ends. This is so annoying. How is it even legal to make out cell numbers public??!!
