How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the FTC.
- Block them with a call blocker:

We received at least 2 calls from these idiots yesterday and another today. It should be stopped! I agree, it should be a crime to harass people constantly. We don;t have a phone to get this kind of call.
I think it is a crime that people can be harrassed by this so called company.
They call at about this time every weekday.
In order to provide better service, EBSCO TeleServices is expanding its inbound Customer Service hours to include more evening and weekend coverage. The change means we will be much more avaialable to answer incoming calls for those wondering why we are calling them. To review, EBSCO TeleServices makes calls on behalf of a variety of ( mostly ) publishers to make special offers on magazine renewals to current or recent customers. This type of calling is allowed to those on the National and most State "Do Not Call" lists. If you would like to be taken off the calling list, simply let us know ( call 330-492-2913 ) and we will stop the calls in a reasonable amount of time ( usually 1 - 2 business days ). If you are curious as to what magazine we are calling about and would like to know what special offer is available, we can handle that also. If you wish you can also contact us via our web-site - 03/03/13.
I tried calling but they wanted me to leave a message. I hung up and went to my phone companies web site and put a block on the number. Now I'm hoping Ebsco doesn't go around it with a bunch of other numbers. Thanks to other poster for their ideas.
They are calling me at least three times a day. It is becoming borderline harassing. WTF!!!!
They must be powered by Energizer batteries; they keep calling and calling and calling. We don't answer and they don't leave a message.
This number keeps calling and hanging up.
telemarketer - i'm on the do not call registry ... why do they keep calling - I have caller block on my phone - it rings me once and they get a busy tone - so they keep calling back ... blah !!!
TO EBSCO:
Stop calling - you may legally have a right to call but as we are on the Do Not Call list - we stop doing business with anybody who does not respect our wishes. Love how on your website you want our email address to contact you - NFW!

An old school style relentless obnoxious telemarketing scam company from Ohio called Ebsco. High pressure non-stop in your face badgering to give them your money.
They have no respect for the do not call list nor will they cease their calls (carefully timed to interupt your meals and other moments of peace).
It is because of scumbags like the owners and managers of Ebsco that the Do Not Call List laws were enacted and will eventually have to be modified to be even more restrictive.
Using the comments below including one from Ebsco, I called them and asked to be taken off the list. They were very polite and gladly agreed and said it would take 1-2 days. Up to this point they had been calling 2 times a day for a week but I never answered.
Based on some of the information people have posted here, I called the number. A customer service answered and was quite polite, as I was in return. I asked that the calls to me stop, and they made a reference to a magazine I do subscribe to, I told them I receive that magazine electronically now, and they said that you and that the calls would stop within 24 hours.
Thankfully, this company's employees are adhering to a good consumer policy.
Ebsco is an independent subscription service not affiliated with the magazines in question. I got a call from them about a non-existent Playboy magazine that I don't subscibe to.
Apparently they sell magazine subcriptions and add a hidden surcharge in order to make a profit. This kind of "business" should be investigated by the FTC for possible legal violations because they only stop calling when you ask them to. The "do not call list" makes what they are doing illegal to begin with.
Take my thankfulness for providing really informative posts on your resource. How can I bookmark it?

Very simple solution. Just block the number with your phone service. Wala, no more calls from them.
I have been getting these calls almost daily for quite some time--I never answer and like others they leave no message. I am sick of these people calling so I thought I would e-mail and tell them I am on the DNC list and they should remove me immediately, only to find out the e-mail link does not work (gee why am I not surprised). Guess I will have to drop a dime and call them as I don't see a toll free number or just report them to FCC. As many unhappy people that have posted here if everyone did that, we might get some action.
They have called several times a day for the last 3 days. Please stop!
My stupid Ahole sister signed me up a give a friend or family a free trial subscription. that i didnt want know i have these Aholes calling me. you MF Scumbag pieces of S***! F*** off! these predators are one step above petiphils
EBSCO Tele -- provide a toll free number in your next reply. Why should we have to pay a toll charge. I've already asked to be taken off your list. That was 3 weeks ago. I'm still getting 3-5 calls DAILY. I'm filing a complaint with the FCC.

Didn't answer since I didn't recognize the number. Didn't leave a vm.
Bubba is correct but needs to ''learn the law'' himself. What many don't realize is that the ''established business relationship'' can be overcome. Under the Telemarketing Sales Rule (TSR) you can revoke call permission anytime, whether you're still a paying customer or not.
business.ftc.gov
As for survey and political callers, they often maintain their own no-call lists and add numbers on request. Any which are made with a commercial purpose are dragged back to the umbrella of the DNC registry and the TSR.
The Do Not Call List does not apply.
You subscribe to a periodical for one to three years. THEN let it expire. That is when the clock starts running. They then have the next 18 months where they may legally call you.
I have a car dealership calling me every month or so. I explained to them today that the last time I was in was March 2011, and that I have absolutely no intention of bringing my car in for service because in September 2012 it will suddenly be illegal for them to call me.
I did the same thing at my bank. I told them that the very next time they phone me I will withdraw all my deposits and close my accounts. Once again, after 18 months it will be illegal for them to call. I haven't gotten a call from my bank ever since then.
Really, learn the law, and if you don't like it, contact your Congress critter and your Senators and request a change. Personally, I believe 18 months is FAR too long, and I also believe that if you request to be removed from ANY list, that should be honored.
I also believe political calls should be included. Yea, get them to include themselves.
Polls and surveys should be included as well.
We have only received one call from them. But might of received more if I hadn't called them back tonight. My son subscribed to Model Airplane. We did not renew the subscription, because he don't read them and was a waste of money. When I called, I spoke with a very nice lady. I explained that we were not renewing subscription and why. She said she would take care of.
These parasites will tell you that they work for the magazines. It's a LIE! They skim money off the top and sell the subscrptions to them. You are better off dealing with the mags directly.
Multiple calls over the past several days from these people. I really dislike telemarketers.
Ebsco has been calling quite frequently and it does seem likely it has to do with an expired magazine subscription. I am on the national Do Not Call list which has an exception for "...companies with which [I] have an existing business relationship, or those to whom you’ve provided express agreement in writing to receive their calls." I don't have any existing business relationship with EBSCO and certainly have not agreed to have them call me. There is no mention of parties calling on behalf of businesses I have a relationship with so I am submitting a complaint via donotcall.gov every time they call. Everyone else should as well!
I am so tired of them calling! When I pick up to tell them to stop calling I just get hung up on! I think I get about 5 calls a day from them.

They were calling to see if we wanted to renew Road & Track. I politely told them I wasn't interested in renewing in which he hung up immediately. Very rude!!! I only answered because they kept calling and I was tired of it. They are losers!
I am on the do not call list, and do not appreciate your calls.
everday now for at least last 2 months min 2 calls a day sometimes one extra? in the evening after 7pm not cool. I have answered it on occasion only to have no one on the other end quite annoying. I know they are probably "doing their job" but I am unemployed right now and I would not consider cold calling people on the phone especially in this current economy or telemarketing bs doesn't matter if I want or need it I will not purchase things after I am bugged by the phone. thanks for the company's numbers and info.
Mary Thorn - putting your full name and phone number on here is incredibly stupid and just asking for trouble. This website is simply a way to find out who is calling - not any type of reporting agency.
I AM on the DNC list and I have been receiving on average 2 calls per day and for about the last month from this #. Incredibly iiritating and I am assuming illegal. If this message goes to you Ebesco, STOP calling NOW. If I want to extend a subscription, I will take care of it. If I could find out which magazine you were calling about, I would cancel immediately. My home # is 262-334-0755
We have received two calls today from this number which is unknown to us.
Callers who are known to us know that they can leave a message for a return call.
We will NOT answer unsolicited calls.
We would prefer not to receive these calls.
I arrange my magazine subscriptions directly with the magazine.
I am tired of them calling me several times a day. I am faxing them to try to have the calls stop. Their fax number is (330) 492-5205.
Called the 800 number and was put through to customer service. Turns out they were calling on behalf of a magazine my wife used to subscribe to but no longer does. In this case the Do Not Call registry does not come into play. The person I spoke to was very polite and said the calls should stop within 24 hours or so. These folks are just doing a job and the people to get upset with would be the magazine that can't take no for an answer.
IN HEADER BAR TYPE IN EBSCO TELESERVICE,THAT WILL TAKE YOU STRIGHT TO THE COMPANY.TELL THEM YOU ARE ON STATE AND FEDERAL
CALL LIST AND PLEASE REMOVE YOUR NUMBER FROM THEIR CALL LIST.THAT IS WHAT I DONE AND THEY SAID THEY WOULD AND THEY DID.
HOPE THIS HELPS YOU FOLKS OUT THERE.
I have been receiving these calls twice daily for about a week. I just called 800-456-5105 they were very nice and just asked if I wanted to renew a subscription. I said no, and to please remove my name from their call listing. They were very nice and said it would be removed within 24 hours.
This is a follow-up to my previous message. I did email the publisher of Plane & Pilot magazine to complain about the annoying and excessive phone calls from EBSCO. A Plane & Pilot customer service representative did respond. The representative apologized and wrote: "We are forwarding your complaint to our home office who will have more access to contact them and have your information removed from their files." I guess at this point I wait and see if EBSCO listens to their customer. I suspect they will but it may take a few days.
I have been receiving up to two calls per day from EBSCO for the past two months or more. I looked up the company and found that they provide services to publishers. I contacted the company directly via an email when they first started calling and asked them to put me on their do not call list. I just got back from a vacation and found 15 more calls on my caller ID and 15 voice mail messages asking for me then hanging up. I had enough so I picked up the phone when they called tonight. I found that they were trying to get me to renew a subscription to a magazine. I told the caller that EBSCO had been badgering me with up to two phone calls per day for the past two months and asked him to put me on their do not call list. He was so busy flapping his gums I don't think he heard me so I hung up on him. I just finished an email to the publisher of the magazine that EBSCO was trying to sell me and asked them to intervene. Guess I will see what response I get, if any, from the publisher. I will follow-up with another comment if or when I hear back from management from either company.
Three calls on a Sunday night. Asking to stop does not work with there idiots. Would never by a magazine by being harassed!

I have asked them three times to remove my telephone number from their list. The operator is asking for Ron Morrow who lives on Ridgeway ave. My address is totally different and there is no Ron Morrow living at my residence. This company calls every day it is very annoying. My phone number is on the DO NOT CALL registry.
My parents told me this evening, 2011-02-07, they have been received calls from this number since 2011-02-04. This evening when my father finally answered the phone, the caller asked for me. I DO NOT reside with my parents, and DO NOT give my parents' number out randomly for any type of contact information. My address & phone number has never been their address & phone number for over 20 years - since I was still in high school. My parents DO NOT need these phone calls, and I DO NOT need these harassing phone calls. My parents' number is on a DO NOT CALL list.
EVERY day I receive calls from this number. Answer machine picks up call but no message left. Once they did say hello using my first name next day asked if one my children was available by his first name. These calls are like clockwork ringing daily about the same time between 7:30 and 8PM. Am a senior citizen living alone and do not need this electronic harrastment. I WANT THIS NUMBER REMOVED FROM THEIR AUTOMATIC DIALING SYSTEM NOW!
EVERY day we receive calls from this number and when we answer, there is no one there. I want this number removed from their automatic dialing system, NOW.
I finally picked up the call as they are calling us more than 3 times a day & I demanded they take us off their calling list. They said they are from the magazine popular science and tried to get personal info out of us. I said NO and they fought with us to get more info. I told them I was going to report them tonight on the do not call list. Very rude company & they never left a message. We got upset as they call right after we put all our little ones to bed. Nuts how many times they call our house a day for the past few months. Someone must stop them from bothering people like this. Not right.
I am a caregiver for this family and they do not aprreciate you calling 3-4 times a day Please stop calling as it gets my clients very upset
I am on the DONOT CALL LIST; Please stop calling
They were calling me 4 plus times a day for Creating Keepsakes Magazine to re new my subscription! how rude! I called the number posted below and got removed! Stop Bombing my Phone!!
The advice by DontbeStupid is incredibly stupid. Very few people are aware of this site and the info about calling the 800 number. Furthermore, anyone who calls me incessantly and doesn't answer the phone when I pick up is harrassing me. If they answered, I could either agree to purchase whatever they are selling or tell them to stop calling. It should not be my responsibility to find out how to stop these damnable annoying calls.
Evidently you have so much time you can type a diatribe of stupidity.
My time is too valuble to waste on YOU!
Why do this company calls and hang up
I have also been receiving multiple calls at my work daily from this number. I also called the 800# provided by mark and Randy (800-456-5105). True - very pleasant. Was told I'll be removed within 24 to 48 hours.
Do not call
They sometimes call us 3-4 times a day almost everyday for the past 3 months. I can't report them because I won't answer the phone when they call. It needs to STOP!
Annoying repeated calls from this number to my business line. They wanted to update my contact info for a magazine I'd never heard of, and then they tried to convince to accept the free subscription. I have enough junk mail to throw away, thanks. Asked to be removed from their call list, but never really got any assurance on that point, so I blocked them through Comcast Digital Voice.
Just my opinion, but I think the comments below about how pleasant and receptive the company was have all been written by representatives of EBSCO. The woman I talked with had zero personality, and I had to keep saying "Hello?" to get a response out of her.
I keep receiving phone calls on my caller ID from EBSCO Teleserve. I will not answer because I am registered on the do not call list. Why am I still getting calls from telemarking companies like these. Don't they understand what "DO NOT CALL" means?
Numerous post on this website CLEARLY state how to get this company to stop calling. If all you old complainers out there would just pick up the phone or take 2 minutes out of your day to call the 1-800 number, you can find out exactly what magazine subscription EBSCO is calling for, and have your name removed from the list. I called back in and received an AWESOME rate on my magazine....way better than the card I got in the mail, and the lady I talked to was very nice!
The economy is horrible right now, jobs are hard to find, I can't blame people for working in telemarketing if it's the only job they can get. Even though I don't agree with a lot of these tele-companies, EBSCO seems to be a pretty good organization. The Customer Services Reps were very polite and helpful when I called in.
ANYWAYS.......life is too short to be freaking out about a few phone calls. Find something better to do with your time. If you are so angry over phone calls, you probably have serious issues or just a natural loser who complains about everything in life. Get over it, this company probably brings in more money in one day than you will see in your entire life!
Called the 800# provided by mark and Randy. Very pleasant. Says I'll be removed within 24 to 48 hours. Let's see what happens. 800-456-5105
Repeated calls, even on Sundays. They hang up when the phone is answered. I have tried calling back at the number listed in other comments. Calls stop for a short period of time, then pick-up again. They claim they are excluded from DNC restrictions because you are fair game if you ever had a subscription to a magazine. They claim to represent all magazines published in the US.
They have been calling daily for over two weeks and do not leave a message.
Got the first call today. Hopefully it doesnt keep happening.
I have been getting these calls all hours of @#$%^%& day! It was for magazine the wife had. Called 8004565105 and everything is good. Actually was not bad experience
This call is so fricking annoying.........they call every day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Its ebsco and so your on the DNC it doesnt apply to them... You are a customer.. They can not leave messages.. If you picked up and asked you would find that out!!!
Phone rang twice & when the receptionist picked up no one was on the line. The number they called is our place of business. We do not accept these types of calls at all. We are also listed on the DO NOT CALL list. What good is a DNC list if these people can continue to call?
Left a one word voice mail message: Hello?
I have received this call every night for 4 days now on my DO NOT CALL number. Please file a complaint with the FTC Do Not Call for this harassing caller.
I received 3 calls from this number in a 3-day period. Thanks to having U-verse, I am able to block the number and check the time and dates when they called. I also went to complaints.donotcall.gov and filed three separate complaints for the three phone calls. If you are on the DNC list then I suggest you file as many complaints for as many calls as you receive. Hopefully the more complaints that pile up the quicker they will get fined and stop calling.
Another call just came in at 3:25from this number that I reported yesterday. Now that I am logging this number officially to prove my case. They call aaaaand leave it ring and never answer.
Call and as soon as you answer they hang up. Ugh!
These people keep calling our business and the hang up when we answer
you can file a complain on complaints.donotcall.gov
Same comments as the others. We receive a call everyday but no message is ever left. Caller ID shows EBSCO teleservices. We're also on the DNC list.
Same thing. Got a call. No Message.
We are on the DNC list. Stop calling!
AT least 2 calls a day, but I never answer the call. Hopefully, they'll give up. It's been close to 2 mos.
Call this phone number 800-456-5105 and they will remove your number within 24 hours or so - The two women I spoke with were very nice and courteous.FYI I was very nice and courteous to them to start off my request, it works wonders.
Every day I receive at least 2 calls/day from this phone number: 1-330-492-2913.
I have no idea who or what this is.
I don't know anybody in this area. Please quit calling me!
Ebsco callers are telemarketers who couldn't get a real job nuff said
These idiots call me several times a day!!! I have a caller ID on my phone saying I do not answer solicitors or telemarketers, but they still keep calling...what can be done to stop these idiots!!
Thank you
I answered and someone hung up.
I bought a new answering machine-Panasonic- and it has call blocking abilities -by number and by no ID shown--number blocking can block up to 30 numbers. Caller ID is necessary. When a blocked call is received, the phone rings only once and the caller is disconnected. I really enjoy those one-ring calls!
Stop calling me please I am on no calls list if the calls persist I will contact authorities
These people call on the spot every day between 7-7:40. EVERY SINGLE DAY. How completely annoying. I answer and hang up on them. Next I'm going to blow a whistle into the phone. I just called them and told them to stop calling. If they call again!!!!
Called and asked for our gm, I asked who was calling. He gave his name as Scott Hoag, but that was the only info he gave.
After several weeks of being annoyed by these people, I called them back and asked to be put on their do not call list. The lady I spoke with told me it would take 24 to 48 hours and then told me they were calling to renew Discovery Kids magazine (I did not give them any information, they have caller ID too...).
I also followed the advice someone left below regarding Comcast call screening (*60) - thank you. This should solve the problem even if EBSCO continues to call.

I totally agree with Don on how many calls they make. Very annoying. If I had brought from them i will never again.
Phantom Call Center
We have no business with this company and despise the random calls.
I called the 800 number. Was connected to customer service. Told them I wanted to add my number to the do not call list. I gave them my number and was told they were calling because a magazine my husband subscribed to was up for renewal and they wanted to offer a lower renewal rate. I told them thank you but remove me anyway. They said they would and haven't received a call since. Very polite once you speak with someone.
send email to etsgroup@ebsco.com to have your phone number removed
What we really need is an excessive call law. Unless a company or individual has urgent business to discuss with you e.g. you stopped paying your mortgage or your test results show you have lung cancer, it's absolutely unreasonable to call more than a couple times a MONTH, let alone multiple times a day, every day, for weeks and weeks.
Well if I can say anything about this company they are persistent. They called again today but I didn't pick up this time. I did look for them on the interent and I did find a telemarketing firm by that name located in Ohio which is supposedly where the call came from. It is a telemarketer but at least they don't try to hide the fact. They actually identified the name of their telemarketing firm and what company they are representing. I dislike telemarkters due to the annoyance factor but it's kind of refreshing to find one that is not afraid to identify themselves both on the caller ID and when you talk to them.
Lady came on the phone and asked for me. She wanted to know if I was still interested in Plane & Pilot Magazine. She said something after which I couldn't understand. I asked her to repeat it and still couldn't make out what she said so I hung up. They have called twice today in fact I was filling out this comment when they called the second time. Perfect timing.
They called my house and my brother started talking like and arabian and they stopped calling. Kowing we are white we had a good laugh
Rings twice, just long enough to show the ID. EBSCO TELESERVI, 330-492-2913. Never able to get there and answer! All my numbers are on state and federal DNC, if that does any good.??
Trying to renew a trade magazine that I recieve at no charge.
I called this company back and asked to be placed on their do not call list. The person answering for Ebsco politely took my information and said it would take effect in 24-48 hrs.
few calls a day - EVERY DAY - no one replies. no response after picking up.
I called back and it turns out they are trying to re-up my magazine subscritpions
Please do not call us for any reason.
Have told them a few times I am not interested. No job = no money. I was nice about it the first three times. The fourth I told them I would not do any business with companies that utilizes their services. Period. Now I pick up the phone, set it down, go about whatever I was doing and when I here the disconnected dial tone sound, I just hang up. Hopefully they waste their time either talking or waiting for me as I do getting up and walking over to the phone. Sort of making up for the countless calls they have made me answer.
Whoever added the "EBSCO Tele" authored message below, is either really, really clueless or just outright lies. They call regardless of your wishes.
Blow them in. I do.
It's too bad people have nothing better in life to do than to harass people at home. Pitiful. I have over 20 calls from them in the memory of the phone from the last few weeks. They have been calling me daily, sometimes 2-3 times a day, for months and months. Maybe over half a year perhaps.
Good luck trying to get rid of these dirtbags. Like waves in the ocean, they just keep coming and coming.
MM
I'm looking forward to playing Machine Screw by Type O Negative for them.
Hey, these idiots left their own cell phone numbers right on the internet. go to their website... and look for the 330 area code contact and you'll find the culprit behind this. Call her cell... email her... fill all of her voice and message boxes up. Lets' see how she like it!

Caller ID ROCKS! I just don't answer. Someday, when I'm feeling rather evil, I'll answer "Taco Bell, How may I help you?" and see where it goes.
I am on the do not call list. Do not call.
Called today for the 100th time in 3 months! WTF, who calls on Sat and Sun too? I have caller ID and I refuse to answer the phone if I don't know the number. I called them back on the 800 number I saw on here. They assured me 100%, my number would be removed and no one would call me again. Will let everyone know if it worked.
These people call every day, sometimes two or three times. We don't answer calls that we aren't familiar with. The answering machine picks up, they don't respond, just static. We're on the DNC list and I'm tired of these people! I'll call the phone company tomorrow.
I CALLED THEM BACK, THEY REMOVED MY #
I just called 1-800-456-5105 and got someone at Ebsco and they said it was an auto dialer that drops calls sometimes. Sometimes?!! Try all the time. The woman was nice and said she'd remove my number from the list. I wonder if these people know what kind of a scam company they are working for? Someone needs to shut them down!!
I didn't answer for a long time and finally decided to call them and tell them to quit calling however no one said anything when I answered. It happens every night and no one is ever on the other line. Can't they be fined for all the nuisance calls? Who would be stupid enough to buy from a company like that in the first. I'm calling my phone company and having their number blocked!! You're right they are "A Holes"!
Tired of this company calling here. From what Ive been reading about them I wont even answer the phone. They keep hanging up on the answering machine. But I am reporting them to the authorities.
SCAM ALERT!! SCAM ALERT!!
EBSCO Teleservice called me, claiming to be associated with National Review Magazine, and wondering if I'd like to renew the gift subscription I gave to my oldest son. I told them I'd have to check with him before renewing. The caller was very pleasant and cooperative.
I then contacted the subscription department of National Review magazine, and discovered that the call was a scam -- National Review has NOT hired EBSCO to renew subscriptions. Since then, they have called daily, but I have refused to answer.
EBSCO will take your money gladly, file to extend your subscription to whatever magazine they claim to represent, and then keep the money for themselves. Do NOT send them any money!
These a holes keep calling ..all of a sudden a flood of nuisance calls. Then he asks for me by name on the answering machine !!! then hangs the freak up !!!!!!!!!!!!! Keep it up a hole.... Ill shove the phone up your asssss!!!!!
we get aqt least 3-4 calls a day and even on Sundays. we do not answer and they leave no message. get the hint we do not want to talk to you so stop calling.
I got three calls from ebsco teleservice in the last two days. I've never been at home to answer the calls.
answered phone and person hung up.
They call 5 times a day. Never leave a message. A$$HOLES!!!
Stop!! calling us.
BTW, I called 1-800-456-5105 (thanks, Kim) and they were quite polite about removing our number from their magazine subscription call list.
EBSCO calls my house on average three times a day - seven days a week - and often after I am in bed. I have answered the calls several times to ask to be removed from their call list, but there is never anyone on the line.
First, if there is no name or caller identification then we do not even consider answering. Those legitimate calls from doctors and professionals should make sure that they identify themselves. Over 60% of people do not answer calls if they do not identify as someone that they know.
For the folks that leave Ebsco personal information and phone numbers on here --- this is not that kind of forum. It's
designed so those of us getting unwanted and annyoying calls can find out who they are and get them to stop...asking a company to quit calling
you on this site is useless and gives A LOT other people your info...think it through people!
Call this number # Toll Free: (800) 456-5105 Tell them you want your number removed...they will connect you to customer service and
take care of it. She said it would take about 24 hours to get my number completely out of the system. This worked. No more calls.
if you people would just read the other posts on this page you can get all of this taken care of.
ebscoind.com
Here you can return the favor! Have fun!
Laughing at them because they are not too intelligent. I am Deaf! All calls to my number automatically go to my text phone answering machine. When a call is r'cvd there is a recorded voice telling them to call via the Relay Center and gives the Relay Center number. They have yet to follow the directions. They waste their time calling 4 or 5 times a day. How stupid can they be? I turned the call light off on my phone long ago. If there is no text message left and its not a local nmbr I just delete it from the caller ID queue. Let them keep calling here. As long as they are working there at EBSCO hopefully they are not screwing up a vital job someplace else that requires a brain!
If they keep calling and you have a call block feature on your phone - just enter their # in and that will stop the calls! Thanks to all for helping me solve the mystery - I figured it's a telemarketer, but you just never know these days. :-)
Please discontinue calling us. We don't answer when we see your #.
Stopped calling here...we do not want the magazines anymore! My husband has lost his job...cutting out all non-essentials.These people have contined to call us non stop multiple times a day! Ugh!
A man's voice said, on my answering machine, "Hello, . .. . . (my name)," then hung up quickly.
Called several times, no message. I'm tired of companies somehow getting around the do-not-call list.
We began receiving calls from EBSCO this last month (every other day) and I finally decided to pick up. After I said, "hello", a man asked for my son by his first name and I responded, "what is this in regard to?" and the man hung up immediately. So, I'm glad to find out more about this rude teleservice, so I can call them at their 800 # and let them know how sorry their PR on the phone is. Again, they would never leave any message and obviously are not told to identify themselves.
These people have been calling my office phone constantly, but they never leave a message or say anything when I answer. I called the Ebsco 1-800 number and asked to be added to their do-not-call list. I was told that someone gave my number and suggested that I might be interested in a subscription to a magazine that I've never heard of. They said my number would be removed. We'll see.
I have reported these people to the FCC twice and both times the FCC sends me back a form letter stating they do not have enough information. I don't know what more they need. I completed every block on their form. I have never subscribed to any magazine so that excuse of a prior business relationship is bogus.
I receive calls from this number on an average of 5 times per for the last30 days
If this is a solicitation and I have not contacted you quit calling me. I am on the Federal DO NOT CALL list, I am saving a copy of this request to remove me from your list. Failure to do so will result in a federal fine.
(810)333-1830
My other phone 810-632-7954 which is a business line the same request stands.
Still getting those nasty phone calls from this company, this time not on behalf of Elle Decor but to try for a renewal for Metropolitan Home. The caller started whining and hung up when I said I am on a no call list. Good grief, why would anyone allow himself to be harassed into renewing anything?!
follow up to my 9/12 message...
TRY A LOUD WHISTLE! SERIOUSLY! After weeks and weeks of constant calls, EVERY DAY including sat/Sun, sometimes 8am, (I work late nights..), sometimes after 9pm, sometimes 2 in 2 hours..I wrote to them nicely, and asked that they STOP, and get me off their list, and that furthermore I'd NEVER subscribe again to the magazine they were likely calling about. Still the calls went on for many MORE weeks.. and when I'd answer the phone waiting for a live human being, no one would ever pick up. So did the whistle work? Finally after many tries at picking up, an actual human voice said hello, and I used the whistle. It's been nearly a week and not another call. Too bad to have to resort to such a mean method BUT if these idiots have driven you as crazy as they have me, and have ignored your requests to stop..well.....
Received calls with no msg many times. Now a male voice calls my first name and hangs up. Am on do not call list. Will file formal complaint.
Calls daily (including weekends)and leaves no message. I'm on the DO NOT CALL LIST but, this company does not care
Please stop calling me!!! I've asked you on more than one occasion when you've called to stop calling me but you continue to call me. Please cease and desist before I file a formal complaint against your company!!!
TO: Carol Winn - I dont' think it's a good idea to post your name and home phone number on a site like this. Besides, this website can't do anything to remove you from a list.
www2.ebsco.com
further to my previous message, a more complete link for do not call request.
hit general inquiries and go to dropdown menu provided.
www2.ebsco.com
these people call every single day at all hours; i presume from previous posts, EBSCO is harassing me to renew magazines i have intentionally chosen not to renew.
i used the above link to get to a "do not call" request form. hit the "general inquiries" tab for a dropdown.
Tonight, during the dinner hour, I got the umpteenth interrupting phone call from something called Ebsco. I have been reporting this company for some time, but they persist in their harassment. This time, instead of hanging up when I picked up or just leaving me with dead air, there actually was a person there. He never identified himself, but rather insidiously identified my address and tried a few other questions before I asked, ”Who ARE you?!”
I am on a no call list precisely to avoid telemarketing creeps like that. He finally identified himself as working for Elle Decor, trying to get a renewal. Why would anyone be remotely interested in a group that employs such disgusting, obnoxious tactics?!
330-492-2913... they call for renewing magazine subscriptions. YOU CAN CALL ; 1-800-ftc-help. helped me remove alot of these dumb calls. if u have a paid program thru ur telephone company u can dial star 60 and block them. since i didnt want to pay an extra 8 bucks amonth for the service of star 60... i called the ftc number, it is considered harrassment, doesnt mater if its old debt creditors or cold sales calls.
Got a call from them on Friday at 7:30 pm.
Is calling at 7 30 in the evening legal? I am on the DNCL list.
MD resident
I called the 1-800-456-5105 number. They wanted to get me to renew "Family Circle". I am surprised that Family Circle would want to be associated with a telemarketing firm that simply calls and hangs up on you for multiple days in a row. Probably "Family Circle" does not know that this is happening. They promised to remove me from the list with the "up to 48 hours" comment as well.
I have gotten three calls from this number this week, and they always hang up after I answer. I believe they are looking for my wife because I think I remember a call last week where they asked for my wife, and hung up when I asked who it was.
3304922913 - EBSCO TELESERVI - call-ets.com
These people also called on 8-21-09 when I see this # I will not pick up. I am tired of this.!!!!
I just called the 1-800-456-5105 number; asked to speak to customer service and asked the person to remove my number from the calling list. Took about a minute and they were helpful. 24-48 hours and they should stop calling. They were calling about a previous magazine I had ordered but had not renewed.
They call every day at least twice a day at the oddest hours (last night at 10:00pm, this morning at 7:30am) and hangs up when we answer. They ARE a legitimate business, they are subcontractors for magazine companies trying to get you to renew or resubscribe to a magazine you receive that is about to expire, or a magazine that you did not renew that you received in the last 18 months (or someone who has used your telephone number to subscribe in the past, sometimes it is the people who previously had your phone number if you have recently changed your number or gotten new service). They have poor standards for their workers and are unfair to them, and break several rules on telemarketing, but it is the callers job, so don't hold it against the workers, they are doing what they are told (we have all had crappy jobs where we did things that ticked people off even when we hated it)HOWEVER the company itself is responsible for the harassing calls, as telemarketers and other companies are not supposed to call you between 9pm and 8am unless you have requested them to do so (and the hanging up, or not leaving a message on voicemail/answering machine is soo annoying!).
They ARE allowed to call you per the National Do Not Call Registry's rules, because you HAVE (or previous phone number owner has)done business with a company they represent within the last 18 months, so don't bother reporting them there, they are not breaking the rules in that aspect.
Call 1-800-456-5105 to make a complaint and be removed from their calling list toll free instead of calling the 330 number (located in Canton, Ohio)
I used William's 1-800-456-2913 to request Ebsco remove me from call list. Jacklyn said she'd take care of that...would take 24 - 48 hours.
LOL - I get a call from this number several times a day according to caller id - tonight I answered - there was a loooong pause and then someone came on the line and asked for me - I asked who was calling and they hung up!!! What is the purpose here?
I AM A CRITICAL CARE NURSE THAT WORKS NIGHTS. I GET CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER 4-5 TIMES A DAY EVERYDAY AND I WANT IT TO STOP!!!!
SEND NO MORE PHONE CALLS TO MY NUMBER 928-367-4045. I DON'T WANT ANY MAGAZINES. IF I STILL RECEIVE CALLS FROM YOU I WILL CONTACT THE STATE ATTORNEYS OFFICE. YOU DON'T MAKE THESE CALLS ON SUNDAY OR 4 OR MORE TIMES A DAY.
Just hangs up when I answer

When ordering or renewing magazine subscriptions we only deal directly with the magazine company. Yet EBSCO and some callers from Phoenix keep trying to convince us we ordered through them. We again contacted our magazine company and they denied doing business with them.
Thank you William D. for Ebsco's 800 number. I called and found out they were calling about a magazine I let the subscription lapse. Any service you have with any company allows them to call without being penalized. Any subsidiary of any service you may have does not same. The call is not considered telemarketing at that point, unfortunately. I told them I did not plan to renew and they said they would remove my name from the list. I do not have caller ID so it cost me 75 cents to get their number, but it was well worth it if they stop calling. I have been ignoring their calls every day for over two weeks. Thanks again, William D!
has called every day for the past 4 days - even on SUNDAY!
just keeps calling everyday
I have received several call each day for the past couple of weeks from these idiots. I surmise the the DNC registry means nothing to idiots like this.
I received a call last night from this number, they wanted me to renew my subscription to Business Week magazine.
no message just hangs up
Calls three times a day;never leaves message.
I am tired of them calling, always around 8pm when I'm trying to get my 4 & 2 year old to settle down and ready for bed. We never answer, tonight I called them and told them to take my number off the call list. The lady said it would take 24-72 hours for it to be removed. Hope it works.
A couple of strange sounding tones than a hang up. Called back and got AT&T Voicemail.
Thanks, Lamere.
I just called this toll free number and had my number removed!! Now I hope that works but we shouldn't have to go thru the trouble when your on the Do Not Call List.

Look people, if you are on the do not call list and these yo yos keep calling, contact your state attorney general's office. Every state has a way to pursue people who continue to call. Bust their ass every time they call.
they call all day and late into the night. my husband and i are nightshifters and so not cool to hear the phone when we are falling asleep, "ring ring" all the time. never leave a message. what idiot thought this was a novel idea? if I ever answer the phone when that number shows up and a person is on the other line, I will rudely say, "congratulations spock, you are the prize of the enterprise" with a hint advice, "get a real job and stop scamming! reading all these posts actually made me feel better, that i was not alone. so thanks everybody.
I just reported it to FTC.gov
If you have comcast digital voice, activate "call screening" (*60 and follow instructions to add EBSCO's number to the list) to stop any further annoying calls from EBSCO, etc. Your phone should not ring when they try to call you ever again! Peace to the world...
EBSCO Teleservices (330-492-2913) has been calling for the last few months (M-F) like clockwork, between 7:30-7:45 PM (PST). Today they started calling at 11:15 AM. We never answer any unknown phone numbers, but they NEVER stop calling! Complained to the DO Not Call Hotline (888-382-1222) countless times, but they still call. So I guess it's unless to continue complaining daily to this number... you might try calling to complain though. Will try blocking calls next (*60) to get rid of this annoying problem. The complaint tab on the donotcall.gov does NOT work -- after the first page of entering your information, the next page has a tab to go BACK to previous page "in case you don't have EBSCO's number". Bottom line, you cannot advance past this infinite looping back & forth!! There's no live number to contact with the donotcall.gov website -- did anyone find a number there to speak with someone?
They keep calling... I never answer.
they don't leave a message but just keep
calling. Puleez have them stop.
I'm on he DNC list - why are they calling? It's very annoying.
This number called me three times today and twice over the weekend. I answered twice and never heard a sound so I hung up. The last time they called which was a few minutes ago I heard heavy breathing and nothing else. Rather annoying especially since it sounded like a man.
According to their website they sell their services to magazine publishers, etc. Cancel the subscription to any magazine that uses these folks and tell them why in your letter. Also the DNC list should apply since it's not the magazine sells department calling you. Report them.
This company called our home several times a day for weeks. Finally I was home and answered... they wanted me to resubscribe to Family Circle. I told them no thank you... they asked why, so I told them due to budget. Of course they tried to offer a price I couldn't refuse, I refused again. They said thank you, hung up and they haven't called since.
Apparently they try to get resubscriptions to many different magazines. If you have a magazine that you have not resubscribed to, this is why they are calling. Answering the phone is much easier than listening to the phone ring several times a day for weeks on end.
There is a way around this. Automated dialers wait for a phone to be answered, and then transfer the call to the next representative available.
Try recording the three tone signal at the start of a "disconnected number" message. Add that to the front of your answering machine recording so that it is the first thing that plays. The automated dialers will sense this as a disconnected number, and will usually remove the number from the calling list automatically.
Can't hurt to try.
You people talking about "prosecuting" need to learn the rules. If you do/have done business with a company (such as subscribe to a magazine) they are authorized to call you - even if you're on a DNC list. It appears EBSCO has been contracted by the publisher to call and try to renew subscriptions. The reason you keep getting calls that don't leave a message is because it's an automated dialer, not a person. If you REALLY want to do something, answer the phone, be polite, and try to get some info. from the telemarketer (such as which magazine/publisher they represent) before you ask him/her to remove you from their call list. Then contact the PUBLISHER and complain - even better tell them you are not renewing in protest of their telemarketing practices.
Ebsco is a telemarketing company trying to get past subscribers to renew Outdoor Life. Called the number from my caller ID and told them to remove me at once from their telemarketing list. Informed me it would take 24-48 hours.
There is a solution that does work - file a complaint with the FCC at esupport.fcc.gov Like anything else government, they only have enough resources to go after the really flagrant violators like Ebsco. File your complaint, and then watch for a news story about the FCC going after them. It's a $10,000 fine per offense. The DNC call registry works partially, but the FCC likes going after major violators because it brings in $$$$~
Everday like clockwork 5:30 I haved asked them twice to stop calling and to take me off the list
EBSCO calls about 3 times a day and finally I called them back and they said they would remove me from the calling list. Lets see if it works.
Perpetual calling. No message, three and four times per day.
This company has been calling incessantly for two months, one or two times daily for calls per day. Yesterday I FINALLY picked up and said "Stop calling here", loud and clear. We received another call today. I have NEVER EVER done business with EBSCO. EBSCO qualifies as a public nuisance.
Got a call from this number. It was for a magazine subscription renewal.
calls every night, sometimes twice, never leaves a message .... have no idea who this is and its annoying. taking a bit of solace that I'm not the only one.
I have been receiving calls everyday at least once a day (two is now typical) for about 3 weeks. As always, I never pick up, even when I'm home, and a message is never left, even though I request one on my voice mail. There are magazine subscriptions to our household. However, I do not do business with EBSCO. Regardless, customers should not be fair game to companies with whom they have, indeed, done business -- Don't call me, I'll call you.
Call them back at their number. A real live person answered, and she politely said they WOULD removed us from their call list, but that it may take 24 - 48 hours to get removed. She was very polite. She said we were getting these phone calls because my husbands edition of Sports Rider Mag has lapsed.
I found this email address on their web site, dphillips@ebscoets.com send them lots of emails
Calls every day - does not leave message Caller ID says EBSCO TELESERVI - We are on DNC and I do not answer callers I don't recognize. Shouldn't they get a clue?
These people call at least twice a day. On 3 different occasions I they asked for Vicki________ same as my last name.
3 times they were told this is not Vicki _______________'s number. Each time their response was "Do you know her number?"
Each time I said "NO!, and please don't call back." Each time they say "Ok Mame I will take your number off the list."
This is very annoying. One time it said on the caller I.D. Ebsco Teleservice and the last 2 times it has said Out of Area.
They have to be stopped, they are relentless.
*60 (Call Blocking)
DEAD AIR.
KIND OF LIKE THEIR INTELLIGENCE.
No message left on answering machine. When I called back, I was told this was a magazine subscription service. I informed them that they are calling Florida, telemarketers are NOT allowed to call Florida on Sunday, and I will prosecute if this continues. Anyone want to join me?
Called wanted to give a free subsciption to a "mobil health care mag." Told them we were on do not call list they replied that since it was free the list did not count. It appears the do not call list does no good. Can not seem to stop any calls.
I get called everyday at 8:30pm... so goes signing up for the don't call list. It's Ebsco teleservice
Called twice today...no message: ebsco telserv
Because of the 3 to 4 calls a day we I get from Ebsco teleservice, 7 days a week, I will never, never buy another magazine....... There is no way to stop this company from calling you.
Called them. It's a magazine subscription company. Only thing you can do is to leave a message. I left a polite message this time.
The problem is not theirs, but ours. If they find a victim and they sell them something, they can keep their lights on and continue calling the rest of us. The problem is that there are folks who actually buy from these people. If no one bought, they would have to stop.
I've done all that I can do. I have used the DO NOT CALL Registry. Does no good. I have reported folks in the DNC site, but it does no good. So, I just screen my calls with my CID and only answer the ones that I know. It is still a pain in the butt, but so is the accidental wrong number.
I would not recommend the horn or siren or any other audible device. This could cause permanent damage their hearing and you would be liable for this. Remember that they have your telephone number. You do not always have theirs.
Next time, make it a game. Have some fun with them. Tell them that you are the person that they were calling. Promise to buy everything. Double the order. Buy the condo. Send me the coupons. And every magazine that they sell. Give them the wrong address. Keep them calling. Make them wait. Put them on hold. Get their number. Call them back. Call them at all hours. Make a friend. If you don't have time for this, then just don't answer the phone.
Good luck and God Bless.
these people are out of control!! call everyday 2-3 times !
Here's an idea next time they call have an airhorn ready, plug your ears, click the answer button on the phone, then let them have it!!! That will send their headset/earphone across the room. The ringing in their ears may delay their ability to place the next call. The reduced number of calls will begin to show across all EBSCO's outbound callers and maybe, just maybe they will get the picture. If their productivity declines enough then maybe the publishers will hire someone else.
Ebsco Teleservices - They gotta stop... every day, sometimes 2 times for over a month - makes you not want to subscribe to anything ever - bad reputation for the magazine company that hires them...... I am on the do not call list and have asked them 3 times now to stop.
have gotten many calls from this number on my son's line and I am on the dnc for both our lines.
I am receiving calls from this number every day sometimes twice. No message. I am registered with do not call.
Called, did not leave message on answering machine. They've been calling about once a day or so. I am on the DNC list.
Pretty much the same as all the other complaints. Very annoying!
Call every day approximately same time. Never leave a message
I am tired of this munber calling my home They wait till it is time to go to bed to call. If I do not pick up they do not leave a message. Gesided I am on the do not call list. Doesn't anyone look at it anymore. I am really tired of telemarketers calling me .
these piece of shit commies dont even have the balls to say anything ehrn they call you!
Had enough of this telemarkter
Reported them to DNC registry and the FCC
Began calling just after Christmas, several times daily. They wait until answering machine picks up & ask for "Judy" several times as if the answering machine can see if Judy is home! Duh!
These people may be are hired by AT&T to force you to subscribe to more of there services, in these degenerated times there is no longer any sense of honor among them, the concept would be foreign to them.
I am tired of receiving calls from these...they never answer or leave a message. I am on the do not call list. Stop these nuisance calls
stop
I answered but there was nobody there...
They called and asked for Johnny and also had his address. So it makes sense that this is a magazine subscription service.
One way to get them to stop, if they don't, would be to contact the magazine publisher who hired them for you subscription and talk with someone in management.
They call quite often, leaving no message. EBSCO Teleservices website is call-ets.com Their contact information is EBSCO TeleServices, LLC 4150 Belden Village Avenue Northwest,Suite 401, Canton,OH 44718. 1-800-456-5105 . Their parent company is EBSCO Industries, Inc.
They called me 12-2-08 at 7:50 pm. They asked for my 13 year old daughter? It was a man. I hung up and tried calling the number and no awnser. STOP FREEKIN CALLING US.
I have been getting calls from these clowns as late as Sunday pm ,to be precise it was 4:57 pm...... and constant calls before that, when I have answered I get hung up on, also out of the 17 times I have been called , they never leave a voice mail messege.
I recomend that you dont contact this company and ask them to remove your number from the list, Do not give out any other information. Also file a complaint with the FCC.
I am also on the Do not call list, what good is it anyway when they can change the law to solicit customers or by being a " non profit agency" yes, your elected officials do have their heds up the rear orfice and have changed the law that was put together so well. These polititions dont have a clue what the real 99% of Amricans get scamed on. As long as they can get funding or some bucks in the pocket ,whamo...let the law be changed. If only our real forfathers knew how incompetent our political system would turn into. Pure greed and self serving intrest.Of course why else become a polition, now its a full time carer opourtunity.
They keep calling and don't leave a message. They called again today at 12:55 and again at 2:46. They'll call later too. How can we stop this????
called them back. they were tryin to reach my son about a magazine that we cancelled 2 years ago. I asked them to removehim from their list and they said they would. They never left messages, just called numerous times daily. :(
They kept calling me & I finally answered. A man asked for me & was calling about renewing my YOGA JOURNAL subscription.
Go to the FCC website and complete Form 1088 online. Takes about five minutes.
:-)
They call at least once a week. How do we get them to stop?
I've told them twice in the same night to stop calling. They called again today.
If this company is calling you and hanging up please submit a complaint to the Federal Trade Commission. They can be sued for harassment.
Calls everyday, never leaves message. We are on federal directory but does not deter whoever is using this number
This company called 3x'in Feb, 2008-5x,March,2008.Now they are starting again ,of all times today Sunday. They do not leave message.
ebscoind.com
(330) 492-2913
they keep harassing us with daily multiple calls......we are on the do not call list......
Repeated calls; no message left. We're on DNC list.
I received a call at about 6:15 PM today. I did not recognize the caller ID so didn't answer. No message was left. Our number is on the DNC list, but apparently this doesn't matter to EBSCO.
A bunch of arrogant telemarketers. Avoid at all costs. Don't answer the phone. Just pick up and hang up. Despicable "organization."
been tying up my fax line in the evenings
Calling to renew Kids Discover Magazine, somewhat pushy on selling magazine
ebscoind.com
EBSCO Tekleservi has phoned me several times per day for several weeks. It's real annoying. Sometimes when I answer, they hang up. Other times the telemarketer asks for me and says they represent Family Circle Magazine. A while ago, I did subscribe to that magazine. However, since the first couple calls, I've told this company that I never order anything over the phone and requested that they remove me from their call list. They have not done that!
Additionally, my husband answered the phone last night and the telemarketer asked for me. When he replied that I was busy, the telemarketer got real nasty and demanded that he put me on the line. When he told this female telemarketer that EBSCO had been asked to remove us from their call list and to please not call again, would you believe this telemarketer told my husband that he had NO RIGHT to tell her to remove our number because she had asked to speak with me and not him. She told him it was none of his business why she was calling me and that they would NOT remove our number since they had not phoned to speak with him! What nerve.
I just had yet another call tonight and I'm getting ready to report this company to my state's Attorney General's office.
bastards
EBSCO TELESERVI also calls us about 2-3 times a day and if I answer they hang up after saying my wifes name every time. I've called the number 330-492-2913 twice so far. The first time they explained that they wanted my wife to renew a subscription. I asked them to not call us anymore.
The next day the they called again and I called back and asked why they just hung up everytime I answered. I didn't get a really good answer other then they call a lot of people so they somtimes "drop calls". I think they just want to save money by having us call them back.
I understand they they may be exempt from the DNC, but there should be additional laws about calling multiple times a day and hanging up without leaving a message. It's just wrong.
I probably have received more than 40 calls from this number in the past month. I told them not to call several times. Several times when I answer they hang up. I'm on the DNC list. Who should I report them to?
We rec'd multiple calls per day from this number. We called the number back and a live person answered on a Saturday morning. It is a telemarketing company asking if we wanted to renew a magazine subscription so the DNC doesn't apply. We asked to be removed from list. We will see if it works....
I get a call from them every day. They don't leave a message, but I get a few seconds of dead air on my voicemail, and the voicemail notification.
They call and never leave a message...very annoying.
They've called every day for the past several days, but never leave a message.
Never answers when we pick up.
Same with me - I get a call or two from these folks daily. I guess I'll call back and ask to be removed from their list. I'm really curious how they got my home number though - we never, EVER put our home number down on anything. Our number is unlisted and only family and friends have it. We have another number that goes straight to a voicemail box, which we use for every application, credit card, etc. So it's weird that EBSCO ended up with my name and phone number. Sneaky.
Just received a call from this number for the first time, when I said "Hello" I was hung up on, so that makes me believe that they are using an automatic dialer and who ever answers first gets to speak to a real person and everyone else gets hung up on!! Wow, now that is truly professional!!!!
By the way, just because you are on the Do Not Call List, does not necessarily mean that these people cannot contact you. If you subscibe to a magazine then these types of companies have every right under the law to contact you because the Do Not Call Registry does NOT cover companies that you do or have done business with or with other telemarketing agencies that are hired by the company that you do or have done business with. The Do Not Call Registry also does not cover: Non-Profit Organizations or telemarketing agencies that are contracted by a Non-Profit Organization, Research/Survery Companies and Political Calls.]
The only way to stop the calls is to actually answer the phone and tell the caller that they are to remove your name and number from their call list or if you have a call blocking service, just block the number.
These people call me 3-4 (or more) times a day. Never leave a message. And after reading the message left by what I assume is a rep from their company, I'm even more upset! I don't understand how they are able to bypass the do not call list to solicite for magazine subscriptions! And, I shouldn't have to call LONG DISTANCE to get them to stop harassing me!
Ebsco has been calling lately every night at 8:30 pm. I finally answered and asked who was calling and why and they hung up. I would never even consider patronizing any company that has to call at breakfast or dinner or in the middle of the night knowing that is their best time to probably catch someone in their home. I,ll be calling the morons to remove me from the call list.
No message was left during this call, when I answered it was a dead line. Other calls she says my name just as the answer machine is answering then hands up. This is a live person. I have left two complaints with the national do not call list. Just file a complaint against them every time they call.
donotcall.gov
I'm on The National Do Not Call Registry but they don't care!
Asked for me by name. Ebsco Teleservi. Caller was soliciting a renewal to a magazine I've subscribed to (PC Photo).
Caller ID says Ebsco Teleservi. They hung up when I answered. My number is on DNC list.
They have been calling my house a lot lately. Today my wife answered the phone and asked to be removed from their list. She then told the caller that we were eating dinner. His reply was "Oh, I didn't have your dinner time on my calendar". Very obnoxious! They were calling about a magazine subscription.
Same comments as the others. We receive a call everyday but no message is ever left. Caller ID shows EBSCO teleservices. We're also on the DNC list.
I receive a call from this number each evening. No message is left. I am on the DNC list.
E-mails sent to their website (Contact Us) link are returned as undeliverable
I have received over 2 dozen calls from this number over the last week. They NEVER leave a message. Our number is on the DNC list. I called the number back and actually got a live person and told her to NEVER call our number again. I also went to their website and went to "Contact Us" and sent them a nasty-gram.
