Who Called Us

I'm 14 and have recieved several calls from this person and came across this website. What should I do to get them to stop calling?

Keep getting called by this number it has been going on for awhile if you try to call it back it says its disconnected.

Ok, I have an idea here. These people are a pain in the butt to say the least. They either don't say anything or they tell you they will call back when you tell them you are not a sprint customer. This is a idea...go to the store (walmart, k-mart) but a airhorn...when they call, answer the phone and immediately blow the sucker as soon as you answer it directly in the mouth piece of the phone. I think after a few times of them getting this blared in their ear, they will get the picture !! Sometimes payback to these scamers is the only way. Maybe they will leave the next innocent person alone too !

Just got new #, these people call multiple times a day. Never here anyone on the line. I don't say hello anymore, just hold down a button in case they're listening :)

Ok I contacted the paetec people.. got a reply asap. asking me the number they are calling (my cell #). anyways I gave it to them.. they said they have contacted the owner of the number and sent them a request to remove my number and advise them of the complaint we received. then they told me to contact the FCC fcc.gov or your district attorney's office for assistance if the calls continue. which I will because Im sure it wont stop.. I also tried calling sprint today.. but the wait time was 10-15 mins so gave up with them!... best of luck to you all.. I hope people dont give them the information they request! They continue to call me at least once a day.. I told them they are not really from sprint (after reading this website!) I told her but if she wants to waste my time Ill gladly waste her time & hear what she has to say.. So she goes thru her whole speal about how shes from sprint and dont I want a great phone.. Im like I have a great phone.. she said what kind.. I said Krzr. but if you were from sprint youd know that.. she said well dont you want another 1.. I said If you from sprint you would know I have 3 of them. blah blah blah... SO I am going to go to the website listed and report as well as call sprint.. this is getting rediculas and wasting all of our mins/time.

I answer, they don't...I am guessing it is telemarketing! They should make a law against them not answering....it is so annoying!!!

I had about 4-6 of these, claiming they are sprint offering me some cellphone-most likely a scam. The caller have been both male and female, so this is some organized thing; probably a crime ring.
this most recent time I couldn't here a word the guy was saying and it sounded like he was talking to someone else. I only use a cell phone for privacy and it's strting to make me angry they won't leave me alone.

Sounded like a computer dialed the call and when answered was switched to a live body...Hung up anyway...It was not Mr. McMahon with a million dollar check.

Received a call on my cell from this number. Must have been bad reception on my end or theirs because I could not understand a thing they were saying. There was alot of static in the background and I kept saying hello. Just assumed that they had the wrong number since my phone number has been used quite a bit by my carrier. It did sound like a man on the other end but I could not make out what they were saying. Tried to call back and said no such number.

They called me twice today. The first time was at 6:30 in the freaking morning. I didn't answer it. They called again 12 hours later and I answered it to tell them to stop calling, whoever they were, and all I got was a recording thanking me for my patience and asking me to continue to hold.

Yeah, I started getting these calls from 323-317-9714 a couple weeks ago, I never answer cause #1, don't know anyone from there, #2 I'm not answering this cause its long distance, I only, ONLY answer calls I am familiar with, why does this person keeping calling me??? Never leaves a message, just waiting for me to call/answer....sorry , its not going to happen!!!

"Dead silence" is typical -- telemarketers call several numbers at a time and only answer the first one to pick up.

Received two calls from this number. I missed the first call, but was able to answer the 2nd time they called a couple days later. When I picked up, I heard a very obnoxious loud noise on the other end. After I hung up, I tried calling back, but received a message stating that this number does not exist.

Same as the rest of you. I've gotten about 10 calls from this # over the last 2 weeks. I've never picked up and no message ever left.

I answered and found that I was on hold. I put the phone on speaker. When they picked up at their end, I answered and they hung up. I answered quickly but they seemed to have zero patience for the delay. I wanted to tell them to take our number off their list.

No one answered, when I called the phone number back the number is not in service.

I didn't answer the call because I didn't recognize the number on my cell phone.

There is a better way to complain. Go to the following site and fill out a report. They have teeth and know how to bite.

You could tell the call was placed from somewhere overseas possibly India (no joke)

They have called me three to four times a day for the last week! This morning they called from the 323-317-9714 number and let it ring once and then called right back and it said unknown? I tried to return the call and a recording said that the number was not in service! Freaky....

A man who sounded like Borat tried to get me to agree to let him send me a sprint phone that I could "try out for 3 days." Very nervous and bumbling. When I told him I am not a "phone person" he told me this weird story about his "cousin who was bleeding and did not have a phone in his pocket." The whole thing didn't sound very legitimate.

They called and never left a mesg.

I've recieved calls from this number perhaps five times in the past week. The first four were between 8 and 9:30 am the last around 2:30pm. When I tried calling back I got the number not in service response. I do not plan on ever answering this call. Glad I bothered to check on the number.

"Free sprint phone up to $200" Called at 10:00 at night, threatened the man "Philip Johnson" and told him it was illegal to solicit over a cell phone, illegal to call after 9:00PM. Said he was very sorry, would not give me his sprint employee ID#. Gave me a phony address as to where he was (somewhere in NY, when caller ID said California). Extremely pissed.

no one should ask for your SSN over the phone sounds like a scam to me

I've been getting strange phone calls for quite some time now. And every time i get one the number is "blacklisted" on the web.
I think this number is connected with a 1-800 number i seen last month.... how many numbers do these idiots call from.

Same guy keeps calling and when I tell him to pound sand, he just calls the next day. Dense people can't take a hint.

some guy from india said they were from sprint pcs.got very angry when i said that i am not with them and am on the national do not call registry and he hung up

I wonder if we have something in commmon and that's why they are calling.

Called a couple of days ago, I didn't answer, didn't leave a message. Then they called again today, I remembered the number so I answered. I said hello, no ans, I said hello again, no ans. Then I heard someone let out a breath then they hung up. Freaked me out. I called back but it said not a working number. Freaky.

They every few days. If I answer they don't respond, but don't hang up. If I don't answer they NEVER leave a message...

This number has called me 5 times over the last 3 days. I haven't answered. From what I see here, it's probably better that I didn't.

I have been getting continuous calls from this number daily. Today 23 I have received 3 calls from this number and they dont leave any messages.

SPRINT SAYING I WAS PRE-SELECTED AND QUALIFIED FOR A FREE PHONE, WOULD COME WITH A MONTHLY PLAN, FREE NIGHTS AND WEEKENDS, BLAH, BLAH......SAID THEY WOULD CALL BACK IN 10 MINUTES.....DIDN'T.

Answered the phone. The proceeded to tell me there name and I waited to hear what they had to say. He said Hello..? And I said Yes..? We were disconnected.

They said they were from Sprint, and that they wanted to give me a free phone, but it would be pre-activated (who's going to pay for the bills, again?) and could they just get my name, address, SSN...

Since I'm a Sprint customer, shouldn't you already have that info?

Actually this post is rather informative on how little the general public know of telecommunication or networking in general. Most likely this number isn't even owned by this company and they are just passing the traffic for a customer which could be an endless chain of companies. In which that company needs to figured out which enduser is causing this issue in the first place. I do agree that if you are on the "national do not call list, you may provide your phone number to report this call as a violation.". That being said no other carrier will comply with a customer from some other company. You must go to your carrier to have this resolved. In addition if you are not on the "national do not call list" then there is no violation...for the most part. Anyhow I feel your pain and I hope you get it resolved.

Got another call today from them, They are RNK Telecom and their phone number is 888-744-8647

They will tell you you cant do anything about it.

Then if you call their upstream provider which is paetec.com their number is 877-472-3832 they are very interested in this abuse and will do anything possible to help make this stop.
