How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the
FTC. - Block them with a call blocker:
Uniden DECT1288 blocks up to 20 numbers, plus Private and Unknown, with the reject tone, without ringing the phone.
Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

Man on phone identified company as "Accelerated Savings" from Orlando, FL. Claimed to have obtained a list of VISA/MC cardholders phone numbers from credit bureau. Wanted name and credit card information.
THEY ARE A SCAM that will jsut take your money and recording your voice doing so ... so they dont have it taken back when you call your credit card company to report it.
That number is for a scam regarding credit cards. They tell you they can lower your CC interest rate, and then they get your CC numbers. If you try to call that number, a voice comes on the line saying that the number is no longer in service. Anyway, don't fall for it, and don't give them any info.
Received calls from this number about 5 times over the past several days. No message when I don't pick up and nobody there when I do pick up. Regardless of picking up or not my phone indicates a new voice message but when I check there's nothing there.
Left no msg on VM
