This is a scam call to lower interest on your credit cards - I don't have any credit cards - so I pushed 1 to speak to someone - hardly spoke English and when I told him they were calling an unlisted do not call # he hung up! RUDE - numerous calls all the time - disgusting - why have the do not call list if agencies/people/scammers still call????????

Caller says that there isn't a problem with my credit card. . .but (and then the speel starts). I've disconnected the call before the rest of the garbage, however this number is a regular on my caller ID and it is from the same County I live in. Wish someone could find out who they are so I can pay then a personal visit to discuss my no problem credit card!

Telemarketer. Never press anything to be removed from the list.....It only CONFIRMS that they have a good number to share with other telemarketers...

THE NATIONAL DO NOT CALL LIST IS AN ABSOLUTE JOKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Telemarketing scum with recorded message. It states press 1 to be taken off the call list. They just call back using different number. The federal do not call list has been an absolute joke-I receive more calls than ever-file complaints but as usual capitalist money making schemes rule and they do nothing-bastards

I just noticed this call on our caller ID and researched it. After reading everyone's comments I've decided not to answer any of their calls.

Received this call this morning.....don't waste your time answering.....Credit Card company wanting you to press 1 to lower your interest rate. When I asked them to remove my number, they hung up on me.

Spam. Message comes on saying like, "there is nothing wrong with your card but it is urgent that we speak to you regarding your credit card." After the prompt to press one to speak to a representative I was patched through to an operator/salesperson. I told her my name and said in as nice a tone as I could muster, "Hi, I need you to remove me from your calling list." I don't know how much of that she heard, because there was a click around the time I said the word, "remove." Super shady business practices. I suggest everyone that gets a call from this number report them to the Do Not Call Registry 1-888-382-1222.

We keep getting these phone calls over and over from this number - 4-5 times a week.

I receive calls from RACHEL with CARD SERVICES - saying there is no problem but it is URGENT that we speak regarding CREDIT CARDS and how they can help reduce interest rates. RACHEL, a recorded voice, says to press 1 to connect to an Agent or 9 to be taken off their call list.

A scammer gives an ''opt-out'' provision only for the illusion of legitimacy. Just as when one replies in any way to email spam, the first thing any response tells the phone scammer is that yours is a functional phone number which a live person just might respond to again. That is how your phone numbers become commodities, shared with and sold off to other criminals.

Keep reporting those calls. The FTC has choked or stopped several credit reprice scam shops since late 2009. Last month a gang in Atlanta was sent to prison. Without complaints there can be no enforcement.

Almost DAILY - I receive calls from RACHEL with CARD SERVICES - saying there is no problem but it is URGENT that we speak regarding CREDIT CARDS and how they can help reduce interest rates. RACHEL, a recorded voice, says to press 1 to connect to an Agent or 9 to be taken off their call list. I have pressed 9 upon receipt of these calls BUT continue to be called - again ALMOST DAILY. I have pressed 1 and spoken to an agent a LIVE PERSON. When I ask to be taken off the list - they hang up. When I ask to speak with a supervisor - they hang up. Sometimes I play dumb to find out more about their offer. They CLAIM to work for all major credit card companies and 77 banks. They want to know if I have more than $3,500 in debt and paying interest more than 10%. At this point I say I am not interested and to remove my name & number - they hang up. I have call blocked their numbers - they use different numbers to call me still. I have previously reported this to FTC. PLEASE stop THEM !

How do I stop them from calling?

  1. Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
  2. If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the FTC.
  3. Block them with a call blocker or something like Nomorobo.
