Received a call from 310-448-6034 on May 2, 2013 at 6:29 PM ET and a second call at 7:17 PM ET. Caller ID Name was William O'Neil. Didn't answer phone because I don't know anyone or do business with anyone in California, so why should I answer a California phone call.

Call the nummber back and you're transferred to Investors Business Daily internal no-not-call line, where you can leave your name and number to be removed from the call list

Got a message with just a bunch of keyboard music playing in the background

Yes, they got the daily part right... That's the least often that they call... got one trial magazine, didn't want to subscribe... politely told them no... they keep calling... Think it might just be easier to change our number...

Register on the National Do Not Call list. Then report them when they call again. They can be fined $10,000 per violation. A few of those will shut them down REAL quick.

I did take the Investors Business Daily many years ago, but it is delivered via U.S. Mail and is always at least one day late, usually two or more. Although they "tried" to have it delivered earlier, they were never successful and so I cancelled my subscription. I have told them many times through the years I am not interested in reading old business "news."
They continue to harass me via the telephone. I will try one more time to call back and have my number removed from their call list, but I don't expect any good will come from it. Hasn't worked yet except to solidify my disgust and anger towards them. Won't they ever learn?

Ridiculous. No is no. They're thinking "maybe if we call them again and again they just MAY decide to buy from us!" They next time they call I'm going to pretend to be working at the same office and say: "What? I work for Investor Business Daily in the call center! Omg! How did you get this number! Wait, stand up and wave your arms...yes I'm over here! look! look! No to your left! No to your other left! Wow! How's it going? What? You're looking right at me! hello! I'm waving my arms and you're not looking me! Ok you just were looking straight at me... stop. Look ahead of you! Yes, that's me...." they call so much... I don't see how five no's add up to a yes.

Signed up for Morningstar and selected the free, introductory offer of a week or two of Investor's Business Daily. When the introductory offer ran out they started calling.
They called twice daily until I told them 3 times I was not interested. Thought it was over but they started over again last month - then they called my cell while I was in Bangkok in the middle of the night. I panicked because I thought somebody had died - why else get a call at 3 am?

I did not request a trial copy and I am on the do not call site.

This is not a shady practice or a scam. I just spoke to the company and it was explained. It's a dialer for the sales department at the Investor's Business Daily and it is very sensitive to what it thinks is a problem. If your number is for a cell phone, is attached to an answering machine, or is being handled by certain carriers that are seen to be a weak signal, then the machine hangs up and moves to another number. The company only calls people who previously accepted the trail offer from IBD. The system is flawed, it's true, but they are not trying to annoy you.
If you call the number back and simply stay on the line, the second recording you hear will let you know how to get off their phone list. --A minor annoyance with a simple solution--

These jerks have called our home as early as 6 AM and as late as MIDNIGHT, and have called EVERY SINGLE DAY since September. Speaking with them does no good, if you say I am not interested the sales idiots just keep talking over you, leaving you no choice but to hang up on them. Likewise, requests to be put on their do not call list does no good, the calls just keep coming. Many paper publication have been going out of business lately and all I can hope is that this company will too.

Investors Business Daily, stop the harrassment! We've been getting several calls a day for months. If we answer, they immediately hang up. We called the number back and the person who answered, Rose, acted like she didn't have a clue about the calls. We made it clear that we were sick of the calls. I promise you, the next day, they start calling again. It's beyond annoying. I would NEVER purchase anything that IBD has to offer. give a call to 310-448-6150 ... someone will respond - request him/her to take your phone off from their call list .... this worked for me instantly-

I explained that his company seemed desperate to contact me so I thought I would give him a call. Someone there seems to think by sending you an IBD paper and you receive it, that it gives them a way around the Do Not Call list.

These people are idiots. I get calls and say "hello" and nobody is even on the other line half the time. i talked to them humanely and they still don't stop. when you call the number back they forward you thru computers to a do not call list?

I'm going to call them and ask where they've been, cause I'm gettin lonely. I'm also going to ask for a donation to help pay for my landline which is becoming obsolete, because they are getting more use out of it than I am.

I can't believe they screwed up that bad. I about died when The CEO/Author's name came up on the I.D and I googled it to find it was the main corporate line.

Investors Business Daily were relentlessly harassing my dad after he took the free trial. They called and called no matter how many times he told them to bugger off. I was over there on the weekend and they called about 3 times before 11:30am. The 3rd time he picked it up and hung it up. This prompted them to call right back with a blocked number this time. I answered the phone this time, unable to hide the fact that I was fuming about to boil over with every word. I cut the guy off and asked him if he just called. He denied it. He asked for my dad, and I bitterly told him he was gone and hung up. They called back 10 minutes later, this time, from the main corporate line which showed up on the caller ID with the CEO's name!! hahah, I couldn't believe it. I cloaked my cell phone and continued calling the main corporate number back, which was greeted with a recording stating their Monday-Friday business hours.

After that, he never got another call from them again. I hope the weasel got fired for using the main line, this guy messed up. Anyone with the spare time, feel free to Google bomb this message (so that their name brings this up as the first hit on Google).

This number is at least Investors Business Daily marketing dept.. I had taken a trial subscription to them and they called the other night to try to get me to continue my subscription, and I still had that on my caller ID after they called twice and hung up today.

They call every single day around 7 PM. When my wife picks up they ask for me and if I'm not at home they hung up. Today my wife said I was home and they also hung up.

If they keep calling, go to the US Government's Do Not Call Registry at donotcall.gov and register your phone number. After that, you can make a complaint on that site. The US Government will fine them.

Wow! I thought this was only unique to me. Been getting daily phone calls from this same number & when I answer the phone, I just get clicked off **** heads! I have been receiving their daily paper for the past week now & just yesterday received a subsciption notice($400. + for a year-yikes!) You won't believe this, just as I was typing this out, my phoned rang and sure enough, you know who was calling. This time I got this guy confirming If I was receiving the paper. I told him yes, but to discontinue. He then went on to try & push a free investors book w/ "only" an additional months subscription @ $28.00 I told him I was not interested & hopefully, I will not be hearing anymore from them.

Then it asks me to leave my name and number to be added to their internal do not call list. Well, I did so let's see what happens. Of course I left a little more of a message than just my name and number. Great... I probably upset someone over there and I'll get a dozen calls a day now! lol

I was once a recipient of the Investors Business Daily trial subscription. Ever since the trial subscription has ended, I receive calls. Most of the time when I am in the office and answer, the line hangs up on the other end. Today I asked to put me on their internal Do Not Call list. Great marketing campaign... Auto dial past subscribers daily and hang up when they answer. Go figure.

My caller id showed "Out of Area" with this number. Previous calls showed "Investors Daily." Contrary to other comments, this is a good newspaper. I have been a subscriber but didn't want to renew, though I never informed them to cancel. I just didn't return a paid invoice. When I did receive a call when caller id showed "Investors Daily" the callers had recorded voice mail as to the purpose of their calls. However with this number of 310-448-6034, there was dead silence for thirty seconds. I would rather accept a quick disconnect or a message. But thirty seconds of 'dead silence?'

4 Calls from this number in the last week. All in the evening. All unwanted. This annoyance contributes to why I do not want anything IBD has to offer.

Now I know who calls me everyday (I don't answer if I don't recognise the number) I will be taking steps…..Since these folks seem to harass everyone, speaking to them probably won’t help the situation so I think I’ll just give my phone to my 2 year old daughter and let her have some fun with these idiots. It’s a win-win for me, it keeps her happy as she likes playing with my phone, wastes the caller’s time and gives me a good laugh!

they never stop calling. I answer the phone - thier dialer is not ready - it disconnects. I call them back - they answer and say they will stop - they dont. I reported to Do Not Call List. they just keep calling

I receive a call twice a day and get hung up on for the last 3 weeks. I call once a day to be taken off the calling list. Federal law states no more than 72yrs to remove your name from any calling list. I am contacting the news and my lawyer. You can pay my cell phone bill every month plus punitive if you want to keep calling.

I started getting IBD. Looked from expiration date that it was to be for two weeks. Called to tell them I wasn't interested and stop sending. They hung up.

So, now I mark their paper refused. It is my understanding the PO has to return to them and they must pay return postage. That should stop them.

I get a call everyday between 7-9 pm. The call is invariably a hang up. The one time a live person had the decency to be on the other line I advised her I was not interested in their product and to please stop calling. They did- for roughly two months. Now, the harrassment has reemerged. I am already on the no-call list. What else is there to do?

I went thru IBD's 'internal no-call list' process two weeks ago. They calls stopped for about two weeks. Now they have started again. 12/15/06 @ 2:42 PM - ring and hang up. It is crazy. I am going to complain to Morningstar.com where I accepted the free IBD trial.

I too have begun receiving yet another round of calls from investors business daily (310)448-6034. I was actually dumb enough years ago to suscribe and they didn't deliver their paper until 2:00 pm (convenience stores get it delivered between 3:00 am and 4:00 am) which meant the paper was worthless by the time I arrive home to read it. Of course after I wouldn't renew and reported the problem they couldn't assure or guarantee me that the paper would be delivered timely. My next big mistake with Investors Business Daily was ordering their online service which would never download, over a year I was never once able to read the paper. Of course when I explain this to the people who call trying to sell a subscription they have no answer. I hope this history saves any naieve potential subscribers from making a big mistake

I've seen this number pop up on my cell display before and even those it has been many months, I knew the number was probably some damn telemarketing company. I let it roll to v-mail and when I listened later there was the sound of phones ringing in the background and nothing else. Based upon the posts I've seen on this site it is apparent this Investors Business Daily (if that is who they are?) group needs to be permanently put out of business. Please do so ASAP.

Please if you call do not hang up. Please do not call again. No more calls please.

They calle me at work, since I have caller ID I did not bothered to pick it up.

they've been calling my cell phone for months...sometimes several times a day. they never leave a message. i've learned to avoid the calls but this is ridiculous.

Its an auto dialer from Investor's Business Daily. That's why it often hangs up. To fix this issue, I called their customer service line at 800-831-2525 and once I got to a rep and explained the dropped calls, he directed me to a supervisor who took me off the list! HOPEFULLY, I will not be receiving any more calls!

They call, on average, every other day, and have been calling for about 8 months. So far, it's up to about 110 calls.

They call daily. About a month ago, I actually got a live male, and told him I am on both NO Call Lists. He said my info would be removed from their data base. Duh, they have called every day since & when I pick up, no one is there. The Atty. General needs to act on this company immediately!

I got a call from Investor's Business Daily 310-448-6034 today (10/23) at 3:30 PM). I've gotten a call from this number almost daily for about the last 12 days. If I answer the call, there is no one there. There is not a recording they seem to be prank calling.

I didn't answer this call; I am certian it is I.B.D. as they have been calling me over the last eight months or so.

This is so completely unprofessional and childish that I cannot believe ANYONE bothers to read that paper. What a bunch of monkey idiots! They call daily sometimes several times. Call back says they are calling because I took their paper. Never did. They say they will remove number from their system within 30 days. Seems like a long time to remove a number.
