Chase Bank collections. Very nasty, no manners, wants to collect 30% interest, so their executives can have millions in bonuses. I will NEVER deal with Chase pigs ever.
Incessant calls. I do NOT have either a Chase card. I will never do any business with Chase either!
Any calls to cell phones are illegal and violate a federal law, which allows suit in state courts. A jury in Dallas Texas recently awarded almost $150,000 to a woman harassed by a telephone collector who kept calling after being told not to. It was not her debt, but the collector was a bottom feeder that bought old debt. It kept calling on the NINE (9) year old telephone number. That number had been reassigned to her with a new cell phone. She told them to stop, and they accused her of "hiding" her boyfriend, the debtor of 9 years ago. The jury was not happy! So, if you get cell phone calls record them, and go sue the &*^%$#!!!
Fed up with the calls? Capitol Hill is responsible for this mess.
(Our crusty politicians).
Check out the link and see what I did to these credit card collections hogs.

They called at 8:01 am -- what kind of firn is this?????
How is this a telemarketer if everyone is reporting that it's a creditor, Bank One?? I got no message on my answering machine, but why are they calling. I dont have a Bank One credit card.
I do have a Chase account an it's up to date but when the banks calls the CID says "Chase", this one says "Telemarketing". Person on the other end is Indian, it's a scam, don't answer.
My caller ID says 'telemarketing'; same thing, incessant phone calls, for weeks now, all day long. I don't have a Chase card or Bank One card. I've started hitting 'talk', and then immediately hit 'off', if I'm near a phone, so I am effectively instantly answering and hanging up on them in less than a second, to get the phone to STOP ringing.
I'm sure a person from India claimed to be from Chase Bank. Whether or not this is a scam depends on whether or not you do have an account with Chase.
It seems people with Chase accounts whether overdue or paid up are getting these calls.
It seems that people are getting calls for the person who previously had a number.
I can find NOTHING to support the opinion that these are scam calls other than forum poster opinions.
And that's what is really scary. No legit word from the media or Chase that this is a scam.
They called every hour looking for my dad who is stationed in Afganistan for the past 15 months. He was late making a payment and wanted to contact him. So much for the military fighting in another country and getting calls for being late. The person that was calling was east indian and very rude.. I guess this is where your TARP funds went when we all bailed out CHASE bank.
pretty sad. I had contacted via email and got his conf number that he had paid the bill and they still continue to call.
The call came from Delaware to Kansas at 14:22 CDT. Call not answered and no message left. Other sites advise that this is Chase bank calling from India.
Receive several calls from this number and they do not leave a message. They call my house and now are calling my husband's cell number. My husband called the number back and a weird recording came on indicating the call was being recorded - not the usual type recording that says for quality assurance this call may be recorded. When a live person answered she said can I have your account number? My husband asked what company she was calling from and she said Chase. She then asked him for his social security number. He blatantly told her that if he didn;t give her his credit card number he certainly was not giving out his ssn!! She never asked him his name. If this was legit, they would know his name, credit card number and only verify the last four digits of his social as they have it on file. Several things were wrong with this caller and they are not legit!!
Who is it?
THis is a Legitimate number
Last night around 8:15pm phone ring Person with Indian dialect asked for my wife
all I heard my wife say to them was I never owned an account with you people I don;t know what your talking about. the person from the CC company transfered her to FRAUD alert dept.
888 294 6909 Apparently there is a woman with the same name as my wife but from a diffrent town and was confirmed by last 4 digits of SS only. They said they would remove our number from her account. they mis matched our phone with this other person so ALL IS WELL at this point. They are LEGIT!

If this isn't harassment I don't know what is. This company must have bought my information along with millions of other peoples from somewhere.
I do NOT think this is bank one ... i think it is a PHISHING scam, scamming for chase, bank one, ETC account information and social security information.
Is not Bank One I just find out and guys be careful is a scam. They ask your #SS and another important information.
of those bastards! I told them not to call my CELL phone (I understood from the very beginning it was a scam), they still calling. Don't know what to do, Please, help.
Called today (Sunday) around 3:40. Caller ID said Telemarketing. I didn't answer. I guess if it was Chase they were looking for my Mom. She has two Chase credit cards that are past due because she is in a nursing home and they get all her money now.
Haven't held a BankOne or Chase account for eons.... no message left
I think that it really is Chase. My bill was past due and the phone calls didn't start until after the bill became late. They knew all my account information (how much was due, when it was due, the date of my last payment, etc.). Also, they never asked me for my social security number. So, I think this is legitimate.
called my house looking for a former roomie who moved out monthes before. called every 15-20 minutes from 8 am to about 2:30 pm on a saturday looking for former roomie. each time told them that the person no longer lived there and been gone for about 2 months by that time.
THIS IS NOT A SCAM! It is Chase Credit Card Third Party Collections. I verfied it with Chase the number, It has over 40 diffent numbers and whichever the computer uses to dial your number will appear. I had a past due on my account and paid it and the next day the actual amount was removed. No other problems or issues since payment last month. Hope this helps
Incessant calls from 302-282-8004, early morning, all day.. weekends almost hourly. I have never answered the phone when they call as the caller ID is "Chase USA" and I have no dealings with that bank.
Googling has revealed this is a major scam.
This began (for me) about December 3rd, 2008, on my recently acquired land line. However! Googling reveals complaints going back to 2007 and earlier ON THIS PHONE NUMBER!!! Where the sam hill are the authorities! There are laws against this!
The google entries establish this scam is wide spread with many being asked their social security number.. clear evidence of identity theft.
It is time for the authorities take a hand, trace, prosecute, and jail these perpetrators. Additionally, it seems a class action suit is indicated. There are ill people being harmed, and us ordinary dubs being harassed by, in my case, an escalation to 8 and 9 calls a day.
I have never even activated my voice mail, thank goodness, but the calls persist... rings four times, then they apparently "hang up."
This seems to be one of the new telemarketing toys and ploys our vaunted technology is accomplishing. The law is being broken! What does it take for these people to be prosecuted?
These people sure are persistent. I have a new cell number that must of belonged to someone that didn't pay their bill. I don't believe it's a scam, but the Indian call centers obviously do not follow American law regarding the harassment after being told that you aren't the person they're looking for. I would just go to the FTC website and file a complaint on the number like I did.
Calling numerous times daily. Getting to be a hassle. I will not answer they phone. They called out my name two times, but never any message and they just hang up.
After receiving a ton of calls from 800-424-5004 (identifying themselves as Chase Card Services) on my cell, I finally got them to stop. They said they were "collections" looking for a person (they gave me the name) who was not paying. So now I am getting calls from 302-282-8004. They do leave messages and are asking for the same person to call them back. Obviously, they do not care that this cell number is not owned by the person they are seeking. I tried calling Chase to put a stop to this and Chase denies it is them - they said they never heard of these two numbers calling as a collection agent for Chase Card Services. When I confronted the caller with the info I got from Chase, they said they could not understand why Chase would deny it, as they were a legitimate agent for Chase.
People need to read other comments before posting. Just because they say they're Chase, does not make them chase. Give these people no information, it is a scam. I got a call today and I have a zero dollar balance on my chase card and haven't been late on a payment in the last two years (at least). They're just playing the odds and calling random people because if you ask enough people for their personal information, some will give it to you.
They call our office at least 3 times a day & don't leave messages. I finally talked to a man & he asked for a certain employee, I told him employees do not get personal calls at my office. He said he would try again & hung up. I called back, the first time it went to a funky voicemail & the second time it went through and I spoke with a nice guy named Victor. He looked up the number they are calling and said there were several people they were calling for. Great my employees are dead-beats! He said he would remove this number from thier system if I asked them to. I asked them to so we'll see what happens. (as I was talking to Victor, they were calling AGAIN on the other line...persistent!!)And my greatest surprise was that this was an AMerican, English speaking guy- didn't seem like I was talking to India or any other foreigh country- maybe the outbound calls are from India & when you call back you get American- that way the number shows the same & Chase saves moolah that way)
I am past due on chase credit card payment, however I don't have a Bank One card. Either way, these calls came in every 1.2 to 2 hrs. all weekend and they never leave a message (I don't pick up when I see it's them). I'm glad I read this post about the scam. Sometimes when you're late on payments and the credit card company is after you, it's easy to get nervous and give the caller too much info., which if they're legit, they should already have the info. Thanks for all the posts.
they had called my home for a former roommate who moved out 2 years ago. they called like every 20 minutes on a saturday and blamed me for not being the person
when they called me they left me a message but i really couldnt understand it. so i called back because i was curious. they machine came up and said thank you for calling card services. idk what that is. lol
This call came in to my cell phone at 3 pm (PST) on a Sunday. Message states "this is not a sales call, but it is very important that you return the call to resolve a personal business matter." Left the call back number 888-293-5321. Holy Scamola! Who would try to resolve anything real in the middle of a Sunday afternoon?
Got a call from 302-282-8004 on my cell at 9am this morning. I didn't answer because the nunber wasn't familiar to me and I assumed it was just a hack telemarketer as usual. I was surprised when my voicemail dinged a minute later. When I checked it the person spoke very good english and the message was for my brother (said his full name)to call Card Services and it was urgent. I found this odd as my brother doesn't live in the same state as I do and why would they be calling my cell for him. I googled the number and it brought up many sites saying this is a scam. I called his wife and told her what happened and that she should probably get have a check done on her accounts. I also going to get a credit report done on myself just to be safe.
I answered, no one was there.
This is a phishing scam, they are trying to find people with Chase credit cards and scare them into giving them your credit card and social security numbers by saying you have a past due balance, among other things. I don't have a Chase card, and Chase doesn't operate this way even if you have a card and are past due. If this was a valid part of a bank operation, they would have your account number when they called, and no bank ever asks for your entire social security number for any reason. If you do happen to have a Chase card and are worried about it, call the valid number on the back of your credit card and they will be able to tell you that this is a scam.
They don't know who they're calling, because I don't owe any money. So-o-o-o, anybody ever hear of a rape whistle??
They called my husband claiming they were from Chase. My husband has no Chase account, so the guy asked if I did (which I don't) and then tried to get my husband to give him my social security number.
They called my cell number and asked for my roommate by name. I just told them not at this number. For what it's worth, he does have a card for Bank One, but I can't imagine any reason why they would call or know my number.
This is a SCAM. Even if you owe money on your credit cards or are late with a payment, that is not why they are calling. They have no access to that information. What they are trying to do is steal your credit card number and social security number. Give them no information.
I have received a call from this number 10 times LITERALLY so far today to my cell phone. I am at work and have been unable to answer it and they have not left a message.

Calls 10-12 times per day. Ususally just a message saying please hold for an important message.
They are constanly calling, never leaving a message as to why. Will not return call unless stated why
called 7:16 pm - no msg
These Fuckers Fucked up my day
This bartards only call in the morning as well. They never answer the fucking call.
Has called twice this morning and hangs up as soon I answer the phone. Shows up as Bank One. I do not have an account with them. Why do these companies waste their time and money making such calls or are they paying teleoperators per call made. Someone out there is making a lot of money for just dialing a number and hanging up. Not very productive. Looks like Bank One may be getting ripped off. Oh well, its their money. I am just tired of running back and forth to the phone. I would change my phone number, but I have had it for over 33 years. ooops nearly forgot, this number is also listed as a scam number on nearly every site checked for this number. Doesn't represent Bank One too well, does it?
they left a message. a heavily accented asian-indian woman left a message for "john graham" and said it was "card services" calling about a very important matter with "your account that is outstanding balanced." she said to "please call" some 888 number (couldn't understand it because her accent was so thick) but that i "must call, we are trying to help you."
They have been calling my cell for the last few days. I never answered nor did they leave a message scammer
This isn't Chase or Bank One!! Don't you think a company as large as that could figure out how to make their name come up correctly in the caller ID? But anyway, whoever it is is just trying to get you to tell them your SS# and account#!! I personally called Chase from the number on the back of my card, the woman I talked to looked up this 302 number and the 888 number they told me to call in the message. She said NEITHER NUMBER BELONGS TO CHASE!!
John is correct it the assholes at Chase Bank, they outsource their callers to India and they use fake Caller Id Numbers it says Telemarketing or Ace Cash Express. They call every 1.5 hrs on average and never leave messages.
Its Chase Bank Credit department, Calling from India.. They have several numbers they call from and fake caller ids, claiming Telemarketing,Ace Cash Express,
They are constanly calling, never leaving a message as to why. Will not return call unless stated why.
Called today at 3pm and didn't leave a message
??????
Called early Sunday morning. No one was there when I answered.
Wrong: JP Morgan Chase bought Bank One. There shouldn't even be a Bank One on Caller ID anymore because the company doesn't exist. This is some kind of scam or the phone company hasn't updated their records.
who are they
Bank One bought out JP Morgan Chase
