Thanks for the heads up Joe! I get called 3 times a day from this number and I just unplug the phone. I REALY hope they send a "technician" here to check my security system. It will be the last check the tool does!

Just received a cold telemarketing sales call from a security alarm company, even though my telephone number is on the do not call list. While I was speaking to the telemarketer, I used my cell phone to call the number displayed on the caller ID, and received a recording that the number has been disconnected. Next, she wanted to know what kind, if any, pets I had so they could get the proper motio...n sensors for me, then the times I would be home so they could send a technician to ...install their system in my home.
Let's see: This is a company that violated the do not call law in the first place, and takes the extra precaution of spoofing their caller ID information to that they are more difficult, if not impossible to contact or locate.
Then they want to know what kind, if any, security system I already have, how many and what kind, if any pets I have, and what times I will be at home (and by inference what times I will not) so they can send a technician to install the system?
I think not.
