Endless calls from this number, even on Sunday evenings, usually calls three times a day.
8:38am call. no message left.
Many calls over several months, variety of numbers plus CELLULAR call. This doesn't seem to happen on other numbers I have, so it is possibly a name collected from donating through a runner friend several years ago (as in sevEN years). No good deed goes unpunished.
I have received numerous calls from the "Leukemia Society" The same ID LS also shows up with numerous #'s and area codes 434, 443, 410 as well as 240
calls from "leukemia society" occur 3-4 times per day and as early as 0815. They donot leave a message. I would not consider contributing money to ANYONE who utilizes these annoying telemarketers. Somehow they are able to continue these calls even if you are on the "do not call" list
Is there no long laws about calling people before 9 am or after 9pm??? They keep calling early! I work nights! 8:13am today and around 8:30 am yesterday! Get the hint, I don't want to answer the phone! Yes I do support The Leukemia Society. but not if you are going to keep calling and bugging me!!!!!
Infocision has called for Leukemia/Lymphoma on nine of the last fourteen days from rotating numbers.
Calls from this number and other numbers all seem to be from Leukemia society...would not leave a message so I started turning on the FAX machine when they call.....maybe the FAX tone will discourage them..sure as heck would NEVER donate to someone who calls and calls but will not even leave a message..
From a Connecticut Dept. of Consumer Protection report dated 16 March 2010:
"... THE LEUKEMIA & LYMPHOMA SOCIETY, INC. of WHITE PLAINS, NY will be conducting a telephone solicitation campaign in Connecticut beginning 3/28/2010 and ending 2/28/2011.
THE LEUKEMIA & LYMPHOMA SOCIETY, INC. has hired INFOCISION MANAGEMENT CORPORATION of AKRON, OH to conduct the campaign. According to the fundraising contract filed with the State, THE LEUKEMIA & LYMPHOMA SOCIETY, INC. will receive a minimum of 0 per cent of the gross funds raised from this solicitation."
Infocision is based in Akron, Ohio and routinely runs aggressive campaigns for charity groups American Cancer, American Diabetes, American Heart, American Lung, Leukemia/Lymphoma, and March of Dimes. Recent tactics include predictive dialing and the use of multiple rotating numbers to frustrate caller blocking. Charities are among the FTC DNC exemptions, even if third party for-profit firms are involved in collection.
